Nothing new - considering Josh Grban's incredible voice, I was expecting more. Also, the CD audio quality seemed harsh.

This CD has musics that many other artists have already recorded, but Josh Groban performs them with such beauty, softness, and delicateness that is impossible not to fall in love for them all over again. The music will fill your home with all the good memories of Christmas, it will touch your heart. Highly recommended.

I am a huge fan of Josh Groban's gift of voice and "Noel - The Christmas Album" is filled with stunning arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs which reflect both joy and poignancy through the season of goodwill. I love Josh's take on the traditional "Little Drummer Boy"; but the new "Thankful" (co-written by David Foster/Carole Bayer Sager/Richard Page) is destined to become another holiday standard (along with Michael Buble's take on yet another David Foster/Linda Thompson favourite "Grown-Up Christmas List".) I am thankful for artists like these guys to breathe so much life into beautiful music written by the experts. My only wish is for a new arrangement of the David Foster/Carole Bayer Sager penned classic "The Prayer" (teaming Josh with the equally stunning Heather Headley.) I still must say I love this album collaboration; and that it occupies a special place on my Holiday Music shelf with Maureen McGovern's "Christmas With Maureen McGovern". Prepare to be moved!!!

I have enough Christmas CDs to put on my iPod to listen to during the holidays. When I heard that Josh Groban was releasing a Christmas CD, I had to pre-order it. Along with Michael W. Smith's three Christmas CDs and the soundtracks to Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express, Josh Groban's Noel is one that I always look forward to listening to every year. I'm sorry to say that I prefer Josh Groban over Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby any day.

This album has it all. The voice, the music, and the choices will blow you away. I'm a collector of Christmas Music and have hundreds of CDs of this genre; this is right 'up there'.

I love to listen to Josh, he has a beautiful way of singing. I wanted the Christmas CD for of course Christmas but knowing me, I'd listen to him sing these songs any time of the year.

I just think this is Josh's best cd yet! I read the reviews of people saying that they love to listen to this as background music while baking cookies. I love to listen to it in the car, 8 speakers, subwoofer, tweeter, by myself windows rolled up. I can listen to this all year long, not just at Christmas. And I still get choked up every time I listen to it. I am a huge fan and would listen to Josh sing the phone book!

Josh Groban took his time in creating a Christmas CD and it was worth the wait! If you can have only one Christmas CD, THIS IS THE ONE! I even have friends who do not celebrate Christmas and they love this CD. It is full of beautiful melodies, enchanting musicianship and of course Josh's magnificent voice at its vocal best. There are songs in English, Italian and French; some are accompanied by artists such as Faith Hill, Brian McKnight, and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir!
The songs are all traditional holiday favorites, with the exception of one original Thanksgiving song. No commercialism here, Santa Claus is not the focus of this music. The beauty of the holiday shines through the crystaline notes, and the velvet tones of Josh's voice. It is so joyful, I still listen to it in May!
Spoiler Alert- Josh's version of "I'll be Home for Christmas" includes the voices of American Soldiers serving overseas talking to their families, it makes me cry every time I hear it!
It's no wonder it was the highest selling Christmas recording ever!

Has a wonderful voice and is good background music for easy listening or a Christmas party.

I love this guy. What an awesome talent. I was blown away the first time I heard him as a teenager on the Ally McBeal show. Enjoy this CD and any others you get by him.

My husband wanted this CD and was very excited to get it for Christmas. There is a good variety of song styles on it--it is great listening. Josh Groben has a strong and trained voice--excellent! You won't be sorry.

What a disappointment when I put this compact disc on the player and all the songs was Chrismas Songs! Don't make the same mistake I did, people of America! "Noel" means "Xmas" in some other language (I think French). If you're looking for some honest, mellow, brunch-rock that Joey Grobans is famous for, well, try some Kenny Loggins!

I don't think there's anything more I can add that hasn't already been said, but I just have to add my enthusiastic thumbs-up to this fabulous CD! I know some of this music was created hundreds of years ago, but they seem to have been created for Josh to sing for us now! His voice is always lovely, and is simply perfect for Christmas music. I am SO glad this was released for 2007, I think we all needed it so badly...

I bought this CD because Josh's voice is amazing! I ended up having to buy 4 more for Christmas presents for my family because I loved it so much. There is a nice mixture of songs: traditional, foreign, untraditional. If you are looking for a cute jazzy Christmas CD, this isn't it. If you are looking for a CD to play while you wrap presents, entertain friends, drive, eat, relax, and open presents, then this is it. It is my favorite holiday CD by far (although a tight race with Celtic Womens' Christmas CD)!

I purchased this product as a gift for my Mom because she was pouting at me for not buying her a copy of this when I bought mine. As such, I was fully aware of what I was getting and I loved it all! However, I wish that his "O Holy Night" had been included in the playlist.

When Mom recieved this (in February) she played it through at least twice and described it as "absolutely beautiful". When I agreed and told her that I just can't get enough of this man's voice because it absolutely "sends me", she commented that she can understand why a lot of women feel that way, "including this old woman!" (she's 82!) :-)

I loved this CD. I bought one for mom as well after getting one for myself;)

This young man is second only to Andrea Bocelli in his talent and his soul filled music.His is my favorite Christmas Cd to date.

She places the CD into the player, everyone gets ready to rock and out of the speakers came the voices of angels, yet just one voice, grandma cried! She was so profoundly touched by the perfection of the voice of Josh Grobin singing Silent Night, it had the ability to tap into years of Silent Night memories. The album Noel is not just music to "soothe the savage beast" but to take one back to before the savage beast began, to a simpler time. Truly, truly a work of art.

PS: Little Ones would not let Grandma listen to the rest of Josh Grobin until they had left because they wanted to dance not watch Grandma cry!

I got this for Mom as an early present to listen to while she was decorating for Christmas. She absolutely loved it and played it a lot. It was a nice change from the other Christmas cds that we have played throughout the years. I think I could have just given her that one thing and she would have been happy. :) Great gift, and Josh Groban delivers as always! Enjoy!

There's nothing I hate more than Christmas carols...the ones you hear over and over in every place you go during the holidays. Would I own a CD with a collection of carols? Not on your life. Well...so much for that!
If anyone can do this kind of music it's Josh Groban. Not only did I play it during the season it's actually a CD I'll play all year long. It just doesn't get better than that.

Josh Groban's "Noel" brought a special feel to the holiday with his gentle tone and embracing vocal quality. The arrangements were well mastered and while maintaining the traditional sound of the Holiday

The moment I heard Josh's voice in "Ave Maria" tears were running down my face. His voice is so pure and clean it touches your sole and becomes part of you. I hate sappy reviews but seriously Josh Groban makes me feel things I never thought myself capable of feeling. Anything that has Josh Groban in it is a treasure!

Beautiful music..really gets you in the spirit..even though i'm not Christian this CD really makes me feel what Christmas is about.
