I have used other electric toothbrushes in the past, but always ended up switching back to a conventional toothbrush because I felt like they never cleaned my teeth well enough. My dentist recommended I try a sonicare brush for an even better cleaning. However, I waited for years to purchase one because I thought the price was too much and I figured I could do just as good a job myself. Lately, I decided to go ahead and give it a try and I am sooo happy I did. I immediately noticed a difference in the brightness of my teeth, and they were soooo clean, as if I had just returned from the dentist. The sonicare brush also made it easy to get the teeth further back in my mouth really clean. This is definitely a great investment and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. I am in love! Amazon shipped it within 24 hours too even though I selected the free shipping method. It comes with a carrying case, extra charger for travel and two brushheads with covers to keep them nice and clean during travel too which I love. This product deserves more than 5 stars!

I actually received this toothbrush free as a product test over a year ago and I still use it everyday. It is the best. My teeth always feel so clean, like I just left the dentist's office. I love that the sanitizer cleans the brushhead after each brush. I always brush my teeth now for the full two minutes. It's the best toothbrush I've ever owned and if this one ever dies, I'll be replacing it with the same thing!!!!

I finally threw in the towel with my standard toothbrush and purchased the Philips Sonicare FlexCare. I am very happy with my decision and can't imagine going back to handbrushing. The previous reviews have covered the features of this extremely well thought out and designed toothbrush so I won't repeat these.

I purchased mine in April and the unit failed in November. I almost threw it away expecting the typical customer service nightmare when I tried to make good on the 2 year warranty. Thankfully, I called Philips support 1800 number before reaching for the garbage. A customer service rep answered after 15 seconds. Long story short, they believe I had a bad drive unit and are replacing the brush with a brand new brush. They did ask me to mail back the defective unit once I receieved the replacement brush and postage paid shipping labels. WOW, I wish all my interactions with customer service department were this good. They took a customer unhappy with a non functioning product and converted me into a life long Philips fan. Other companies should take note.

The FlexCare works fantastically. My teeth have felt cleaner and looked whiter consistently since I began using this brush. I'm not sure that the UV sanitizer is all it's cracked up to be, but it is reassuring that when I'm sick I (theoretically) don't have to worry about replacing the toothbrush heads.

I don't use the massage setting much, and never use the sensitive setting. When I want to use the massage setting, though, it is nice to have. The power behind the brush on the normal setting and the massage setting is really great. The brush feels like you are in control of it, more so than the bulkier versions I've had in the past.

Really, I can't recommend this brush highly enough. Sonicare changed the way I brush my teeth so much that I could hardly survive with a manual brush. This brush is another step up, and I don't know that I could ever go back to the Elite models after using it.

Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush with SanitizerI have owned Philips Sonciare toothbrushes before and always liked them. This one is the best so far. Not only is it a superb electric toothbrush, my mouth feels like it does after a dental cleaning. This is comfortable to use, has preprogrammed cycles for different types of cleaning. The ultraviolet cleaning is a thoughtful addition and maybe especially useful for families. In short, great product and works as advertised.

Had the older model before this one. The brushes attach to the handle much easier now. They have fewer places for crud to collect, and the UV sanitizer light is keeping bacteria growth away. There are a few different brushing programs now. I like the Go Clean with four 15 second intervals in the AM and the regular 2 minutes in the PM.

I have used a Sonic Care Toothbrush for about 8 years. When I upgraded to the flexcare I found the new features to be great. I can customize the tooth brush every time I brush....dental and gum care are so very important. A great buy to encourage thorough brushing.

Philips Sonicare Elite e9500 Custom Care Power Toothbrush this is quite an improvement from the last one that I have used for several years. My teeth feel very clean almost like a dentist has cleaned them. would not do without. Rate a strong 5.

My dentist's hygenist recommended this toothbrush to me at the end of last year. It took me until June to buy it and then until just a couple of weeks ago to actually start using it. Well, it's fantastic and I can't write enough superlatives about it. Just don't wait as long as I did to buy it and use it!

Here are two things Phillips will not tell you about their Sonicare toothbrushes and heads.

1) The collar that holds the toothbrush to the handle will disintegrate in a couple of months. That's what prompted this review, because they would not replace mine after it fell apart two weeks after purchasing a replacement.

They manufacturer these things to disintegrate so you will continue to buy replacements - planned obsolescence. However, I suspect their China supplier is skimping on the plastic specifications and they fall apart in weeks instead of months. (Do you think China would really do that?)

2) UNPLUG your base until you need to charge the toothbrush. If you charge it up overnight, then unplug the base, the toothbrush will work for four brushings per day for about a month. Then, when it signals or stops, plug the base in to charge it.

This method will allow your toothbrush to work for five years or longer. If you keep the base plugged in all the time, these NiCad batteries develop memory and will stop functioning after 18 to 24 months.

A bonus, if you travel a lot as I do, you don't have to pack the charger. Just make sure it's topped off and you're good for a month's vacation.

I have owned several rechargeable toothbrushes for years and have been happy. When I needed to replace mine, on the recommendation of my dental hygienist, and a little rebate offer, I decided to try this. The brush head is great, I like the different cycles, and the sanitizer is an extra bonus and easy to use. It seems this brush is simply easier to keep clean as well. I highly recommend it. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I've used Sonicare electric brushes for a number of years. Most recently I purchased a new model from Amazon. This brush has three speeds, including a massage speed. The handle is less bulky than others making it very comfortable to hold. Amazon shipped very promptly and the price was right!

My dentist has been telling me for years to try the Sonicare and I thought they were just trying to sell me something. I finally got one two months ago and I can't believe the difference. My teeth feel so much cleaner than they did with a brush. One of my kids had a dentist visit last week, and his teeth were much better than they used to be.

The vibration might bother you the first couple uses, but after that you'll never want to use a regular brush again. Four of us have been sharing the unit with no problems. I just wish Sonicare would provide more brightly colored rings. The dark blue is great, but the gray, light blue and light green look too similar to easily differentiate the heads.

The Sonicare Flexcare Rechargeable Toothbrush Sanitizer, has to be the best electric toothbrush in the market. With the brushing options, the auto shutoff sanitizer, and the ease of use, is well worth buying. I should have bought this model long ago.

I recently upgraded to this toothbrush from the original Philips Sonicare because the design of the original was flawed in that the plastic backing of the head allowed bacterial and paste accumulation and made cleaning in the crevice virtually impossible. I wanted something more hygienic, and am very pleased with this purchase. Beyond the excellent reviews, this brush has a small head perfect for my mouth, and it is smaller and lighter. The battery holds a good charge (2wks from one charge) and I sanitize it once every 2wks when I recharge the battery. The features are fantastic - I especially like the GoCare 1min quick clean feature for after lunch or before outings. It comes with a very stylish and functional travel case and a tiny travel charger (though you won't need it for a short stay, since it holds a charge for 2wks). Although pricey, it was worth every penny. I don't see myself changing brushes anytime in the next 10 years. Highly recommended. No negatives.

I never thought my teeth would be white again until now. I used the Sonicare two times per day for the last three weeks and what a difference. I go back to the dentist next week for a check up. Although I have to warn you that it can make your gums bleed until they toughen up.

I bought this toothbrush a few weeks ago and it has done wonders for my mouth care routine. The toothbrush not only cleans my teeth a lot better, but keeps them clean for much longer as well, when I wake up in the morning it still feels like I just brushed my teeth! I would absolutely recommend that anyone should buy this brush and it will make your mouth care routine much more rewarding and guided.

This is excellent. It is dramatically more effective at reducing plaque, tartar, stains, and calcified deposits than is a regular toothbrush. It also is easy to use.

This is the first time I have ever purchased and used an electric toothbrush. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. The initial investment might be a bit expensive but your oral care/health is worth the investment. My teeth feel clean and are more white than when I used a regular toothbrush.

I purchased the sonicare as a replacement to a Braun product which has seen better years. I must say initially the Sonicare was more powerful than realized and it took a few times before being able to use it at the normal speed. Currently I am very satisfied with the system and feel my teeth and gums get a great workout each use and are nice and clean. Good investment. I gave a 4 star rating due to the price.

I have been a Sonicare user for about 10 years, and just purchased the FlexCare. It is absolutely fantastic! Never go back to a manual toothbrush again. And the sanitizer is great! I highly recommend this product!

This is the first Sonicare toothbrush I have owned. While it may sound like a lot of money to pay for a toothbrush, you will not be disappointed. My teeth feel as clean as if I had just visited the dentist everytime I brush. I highly recommend this toothbrush, it is well worth the investment.

I had the Sonicare some years ago. When I needed to replace it after years of "service", I bought a Braun (because it was cheaper). However, I found my teeth never felt very clean and I had to use a dental tool to clean around my crowns and around my back teeth. I wanted to go back to the Sonicare and really liked the idea of the sanitizer (if you have ever researched all of the germs and bacteria in the bathroom, you'll know why), but I felt the added cost was prohibitive. I weighed the cost of this new Sonicare toothbrush against the cost of going to the dentist and decided it was a good investment in my overall health. WOW! I was GREATLY pleased with the new Sonicare with sanitizer. I find it cleans my teeth outstandingly and even gets around my back teeth and especially my crowns. I could not be more pleased!

The product is great, Sonicare as a company sucks.
I had a $[...] rebate coupon that they never honored. Gave them everything required (sales receipt, UPC code, form, etc) but they claimed it wasnt good for that product. Will never buy another Sonicare item because of it, just out of principal.

My dental hygienist recommended this product. One feature she touted was that the brush will stop if you push too hard, which is good for me and my brushing style. I have used it now for about three weeks and couldn't imaging going back to a regular brush.

This Sonicare replaced an older version. It is so much better in that it cleans my teeth better and it has a charge indicator so you can tell how much charge is left.
I haven't used the sanitizer yet.

This toothbrush does an excellent job of leaving your teeth feeling clean. I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the sanitizer, but I guess it gives you some peace of mind knowing your toothbrush is germ free. Also, I don't really use all of the extra options that are on the toothbrush, but maybe one day I will. It is definitely worth the money. There is no comparison between the feeling you get from the sonicare versus a standard toothbrush. I just hope it lasts long time.

Sonicare continues to be the best toothbrush but the extra cost for the sanitizer is a bit much considering it is about a $15.00 value for the UV bulb. If you are a gadget junkie and want the lastest OK, if not just get the value priced unit.

Our dentist recomended this brush for our 9 year old that was building up plaque fast. He loves this brush! It claims that you will see a whiter smile in one week but we saw the difference in ONE day. It comes with a small head that he uses and a large head that I use. The cleaner has a spot for two heads so we don't share germs. The only time that I have seen my teeth this clean is the day for my cleanning appt every six months. The price is big but it was worth every penny!!!!
