Couch Potato Michael - Review written on December 28, 2007
Rating: 5 out of 5
"Holiday Inn" is a song and dance routine and I confess I'm not a big fan of musicals. Even so, when you take the brilliance of composer/lyricist Irving Berlin, mix with one of the greatest singing voice in history, Bing Crosby and add the finest dancer ever; Fred Astair, all that's missing is a heart's desire. Stunningly beautiful actress Marjorie Reynolds provides the perfect additional heart beat, completing a delightfully well woven romantic comedy that works almost flawlessly. Released in 1942, this timeless love story is a monument to creative moviemaking at its best. Bing Crosby's Academy Award winning song "White Christmas," first appeared in "Holiday Inn" some 12 years before Bing Crosby's movie, "White Christmas." Couch Potato Review? 7 Potato, More. Notes: Sadly all the incredible talents mentioned are no longer with us but live on in beautiful works of art like, "Holliday Inn." Available on DVD.
