This is a good product for the cost. Don't bother buying the more expensive ones. This does what it needs to do.
Dual clean is awesome! - Review written on July 31, 2008

I was looking for a replacement power toothbrush by Oral B and found this one with a dual head--WOW! It is awesome and really does a superior job of cleaning. It has a 2 minute timer which is usually coincidental with the exact amount of time I use to brush my teeth, nice. My old Oral B lasted a couple of years so I also bought the replacement heads for this new one as I'm sure it will last at least that long as well.

I have used a power toothbrush for years. I find the head on this one is larger than my previous one but I am getting used to it. It seems to do a great job.

This toothbrush is the best! My dog destroyed my previous toothbrush, a more expensive Oral-B I had for years (I was packing for a trip; he got hold of it and thought it was a chew toy). So I bought this one out of curiousity, to see what I'd get for under $20.

To my surprise, it is as good if not better than the more expensive one I owned. I don't know what difference there is between this and the $80 or $90 models they now sell, but this is very powerful, and the dual clean brush just totally cleans your teeth, much more thoroughily than the smaller, rounder brush that Braun has had out for years.

The only thing is that I wish it had some sort of a cover for the brush when not in use. But there are enough little plastic tops around (such as those clear ones for squirt hair spray, for example) that can be used to cover the brush and protect it from dust or whatever.

The Oral B is good value and works well. No complaints. It replaces one I had that finally went to that place in the sky where all electronic gizmos eventually go. The one that died had a single rotating head. This one has a rotating head and a second head that scrubs up and down. It's a bit of a mouthful and I'm totally conflicted about which vibrating bit I should be paying attention to. But it does the job. And if one wants to use only a rotating head, that works fine. I'm completely satisfied with this product.

Very good tooth brush for the money. Cleans teeth well. Would recommend especially if it is your first electric toothbrush as it was mine. No sense spending so much money.

i have never used a power tooth brush before, so i have no basis of comparison, but i think it's quite good.
some people said it takes a while to get used to, but that's not the case with me...
it comes with one brush head, and there are several alternative styles to choose from when you buy more...
i noticed my teeth become just a little bit whiter every time i brush.
when the battery starts to drain out, it gets weaker, so you know when to recharge.

This product represents an excellent value. From what I can tell, it appears as effective as my previous "sonic" product at a fraction of the cost. And for me this brush feels better in my hand and easier to use. The timer is a nice touch at this price level. And with a recent P&G BOGO coupon that came out, its a steal!

How did I ever manage to clean my teeth with an ordinary toothbrush before this? After using this toothbrush, my teeth looked immediately whiter and I had this amazing minty fresh feeling in my mouth that all toothpaste/toothbrush ads promise and declare. This actually made me look forward to brushing. Goodbye to regular toothbrushes after this. Everyone should use one.

This is my first electric toothbrush and I'm happy with it. One brush rotates, making my teeth feel clean and slippery and the other pulses, getting food debris out from between the teeth. I like how easy it is to reach the backs of the back teeth. I've had it several months and so far so good. Until this purchase I used manual brush and periodontal brushes. I'm anxious to see what the periodontist says on my next visit.

And it has a two minute timer which some of the cheaper models lack.

I couldn't be more pleased with this toothbrush. The price is amazingly affordable and the results are fantastic. Each time I use this brush I feel like I just had a cleaning from a dentist. After using it for one week, I bought one for my husband too.

This is the first battery operated toothbrush that I've used and it works great! I can't imagine going back to a regular toothbrush now. It leaves your teeth feeling so much cleaner. I like how it brushes for two minutes and then it vibrates a couple of times to let you know that you've brushed a full two minutes as dentists recommend. I can usually brush about 4-5 days between charges. I like that you can purchase replacement heads so you don't have to buy a new toothbrush every few months. My husband and daughter love their power toothbrushes as well. I know they make power toothbrushes that cost over $100. I can't imagine how they would clean any better than this one. I think this is a great price and it does a terrific job cleaning teeth!

I've been using this toothbrush for a long time now and am very happy with it.

It has it's own recharger, which is nice and the brush heads are replaceable and inexpensive.

My dentist recommended this one to me and since all my check-ups have been good, I give the credit to the Oral B Vitality Dual Clean Power Brush. I do floss once a day and use this brush three times a day.I time how long I'm brushing as I don't want to under or overbrush.

I highly recommend this to everyone.
Polished every day! - Review written on March 03, 2008

Rating: 5 out of 5

My family has several different Oral B electric toothbrush models. All give us that just polished feeling that one gets at the dentist! I prefer the models that have the 2 min auto timer, as it encourages spending that extra time to get all surfaces clean. The electric unit and timer are particularly useful for young children and older folks who may be suffering with limited hand dexterity due to arthritis and sore joints. I have given up manual toothbrushes forever and even take the Oral B when I travel. A full charge will easily last a week.

I have noticed the children have fewer new cavities when they use their electric Oral B. It also promotes healthy gums. Although we were able to share one base unit with our own individual brush heads at home, each child was sent away to college with a new electric Oral B to maintain that dentist visit polish every day! My daughter prefers this model with the dual brush heads. She feels it cleans more efficiently than the single head.

Of course the unit and brush heads cost more than a manual brush, but for sparkling teeth, fewer cavities, healthy gums, fresher breath--a real bargain!

I got this on a recommendation from my dentist. She did not recommend a specific brand, but after reviewing the Amazon reviews and considering the dual cleaning aspects of this power brush- and of course the cost! - I decided to give it a try. I also looked at the various types at Target and after checking the price at Amazon, it was as usual cheaper at $17. It's been a month now and all I can say is it works exactly as promised and brushing has actually been faster. It enables me to better get to the back teeth which is why the dentist recommended an electric brush. There just seems no way you can match the same amount of brush strokes this thing puts out and now I can clean the back teeth as good as the front. I highly recommend this and from what I can tell, it does the job just as good as the $100 versions, but at a much more affordable price.

This is a great tooth brush.I really like it.a GREAT BUY FOR THE PRICE. but they only give you one head when you buy it. so it is like a throw away electric tooth brush. one more head is probably as much as the hole thing.

Brush head is HUGE - Review written on December 05, 2007

I bought this brush when my old Sonicare finally died. I thought I would give this one a try, figuring if I didn't like it, it was only $20. Well, I have brushed with it twice now and I don't like it.

The first and biggest problem is that the Dual Clean brush head feels GIGANTIC in my mouth. I had previously been using the compact brush head for my Sonicare, and I do have a small mouth, but my goodness! Maybe this wouldn't be an issue for someone with a larger mouth (or who was used to using standard-size manual toothbrushes), but I can't maneuver with this thing at all. I suppose I could switch to one of the smaller replacement heads, but I don't think I will.

The other issue is that compared to my Sonicare, it feels cheap. (Of course, compared to the Sonicare, it IS cheap!) Not the construction, but the way the motor runs. It sort of has a chug-chug-chug feel to it. I did charge it fully before using, and still there's the chug.

It may do a great job cleaning and may be suitable for others, but for the 2 reasons stated above, I'm still looking for my new brush.

This is a great toothbrush. I've used a Sonicare and a Crest Spinbrush, and in my opinion both don't compare to this. My teeth and gums have never felt so clean. I ended up buying it for my 13-year-old son on one condition: that he use the toothbrush until the timer on the toothbrush "goes off"- he loves it. Now all of my children want one (which I wouldn't consider if it used batteries). I highly recommend!

I bought this tooth brush several months ago after using a battery operated tooth brush for some time. Wow, what a difference!! The ease of brushing, because of the dual motion heads, is awesome. My teeth feel like I've been to the dentist office. I love the 2 min. timer~~makes it easy to know when you've brushed long enough, as it's easy to overbrush because of the great feeling you experience when brushing. I'm not crazy about the placement of the timer/on/off button, however. It's easy to accidentally click the toothbrush off while brushing, and then your timer has to start over. And I'm very pleased with the power and charge as long as I keep the tooth brush plugged in and charging when not in use. It has come unplugged before (kids!) and didn't hold a charge for very long. Overall this is an Excellent toothbrush, for an Excellent price...if you're still brushing manual, you don't know what you're missing!! Try it!!

I got tired of feeling plaque buildup with my tongue. I have MS and am wheelchair dependant. Standing to brush 2 minutes is torture. The MS has affected my right and dominant hand. I just can't direct a simple, regular toothbrush effectively.

After my last visit to the dental hygenist, I determined to maintain that clean, smooth feeling! I can't spend $100 on a fancy system, so after reading endless reviews of many brushes, I selected the OralB Vitality-Dual-Head as the best affordable solution.

I made a great decisionand plan to order replacement heads from Amazon.

The brush arrived in 4 days by free ground delivery. After wrestling to open the package made to send it safely to the moon, I planned to charge it overnight to get started. Much to my surprise, I didn't have to do that. It brushed perfectly, right out of the box. The handle is substantial, but easy to hold and control and not too big. The brush rotation changes to send me a signal that I've been brushing 2 minutes. I love it in all it's design and preformance aspects! I am also sight impaired. If I had one wish for the brush, it would be to have dual colors on the pad with the on/off switch. Cream on cream requires an extra look to turn it off. However, I can solve that easily with a marker.

I find myself brushing more often because of the great, thoroughly clean feeling in my whole mouth. I have an upper denture and love being able to brush my gums well. Also the task of brushing well is now easy. I love beating the system of life and Amazon sold this for $2.00 less than all other low priced retailers in my area. I called all of them.

My last three purchases from Amazon have been 5 star winners, and this includes a 32" HDTv I never thought I'd buy online.

Don't bother shopping any longer for a good brush. Click "add to cart" and do your mouth and psyche a big favor.

I wanted one of these electric toothbrushes for ages, but I was just not willing to justify spending upwards of $100. The moment I saw an advertisement for this toothbrush, I went out and got one. I have to say it was everything I expected! After using it for the first time my teeth were left feeling smoother and cleaner than ever. My manual brush just can't compare. I also like that it pulses after 2 minutes to let you know that you have completed your "2-minute" brushing. I highly recommend this toothbrush!

I should have ordered two, cause when you find something that really works, it gets discontinued for a newer model..Handle size is perfect, especially for victims of stroke or quads...just big enough to handle without being bulky...People have complained about the lack of enough charge...Instructions recommend leaving the handle on the charger after each use, and claims to be impossible to OVER charge...(Not good to take tent camping or when you lack easy electrical outlet)... Has the two minute timer, which I ignore and keep right on brushing...Feels good to my gums, I got the medium firm heads, and have extremely sensitive gums...Been thru oodles of manual toothbrushes that are too soft or too hard, this one is perfect!...Oscilating head on top, bottom is side-to-side...I love the dual head!!!!... the single Oscilating heads are too small on other electric brushes, and I didn't feel they had enough 'surface' to clean well... I have a smaller mouth, and this dual brush works wonderfully, even in the back, between cheek and gums...I bought 3 packs of extra dual heads (3 in a pack) so I won't need to worry about replacements for a while...I would buy this Vitality again & again

I think this is a great tooth brush for the price, but I mainly wanted to comment on the charging time. A lot of other reviews are saying that the charge time is too long or doesn't hold a charge well etc. I took this into account originally... but after I received the tooth brush, I realized the charge time or amount of charge doesn't make any bit of difference! If you simply place the tooth brush on the charger after you are done brushing, you will never have to worry about the amount of charge.

Overall, I am satisfied with the charger. The only flaw I can think of is the amount of noise it makes (sort of high pitched). It definitely feels like the tooth brush at the dentist. Although probably doesn't rotate/vibrate as fast. Recommended.
