Nowhere I looked - when researching if I could use the adapter e.g. overseas -
does it state the range of the input voltage for the adapter !
This is the same on Creative's AND on Amazon's websites.
I would expect this info as part of the specification.

Answer - found on the hard to read mini label on the adapter :
Input : 100 - 240 VAC 50-60 Hz, Max 0.4 A, Output : 5 VDC 2.4A

I bought this to replace the AC charger that came with my 60 GB Vision W. The original one never worked and by the time I got around to dealing with it (through Creative) it was way too late. Buggers. You'd think that spending nearly $400 for the Vision W it would have a working AC adapter. I mean, how complicated are they? Anyway, the one I ordered through Amazon works great, decent price (sharp drop from original price sheesh!)

Would get 5 stars if smaller but otherwise does the job giving a quick charge from a regular outlet vs. USB on computer.

This is a fine product. It does what it is supposed to do. My zen charged in less than two hours. I had tried other usb chargers, even ones that said that they worked with Creative Zen products, and they didn't work. Watch out - just because something says that it FITS the Zen doesn't mean that it actually works with it.

I almost sent it back, however, out of my own ignorance. When the product arrived, there was a white plastic cover over the prongs. It is the same type of plastic that the product is made out of, and it blends very smoothly into the product. It is also firmly attached. It seems like the product arrives with big white plastic prongs that are obviously not going to work in the United States. In fact, it looks just like the black and white drawing of the Chinese plugs in the paperwork that arrives with the adapter. So I wrote the company, asking for an exchange. I got a reply back (within 24 hours) saying, "no, you got the right adapter. Just take off the cover, idiot." OK, they didn't really call me an idiot. I just felt like one. But, low and behold, the prong cover actually does come off and now I love my Zen even more than before.

This adapter works great with my Creative Zen Plus. It charges my player faster than using the USB & computer...really a good price for such a handy device. : D

This is my second ZEN Power Adapter and it's great. I gave my first one to my nephew and he loves it too.
I specially liked the extra long cord.

No problem using this, as a matter of fact it is great. It was only kind of pricy but I needed it so I bought it.

The Creative Zen Adapter works like a charm---fast, reliable, and, unlike inexpensive "options" that destroyed other users' MP3 players, no problems have resulted...only fast, convenient charging. The company sent the product in a packaging that would have necessitated a nuclear bomb to damage it, and it arrived in much speedier time that I expected. This product is one of those times when spending a few more dollars results in superior performance.

My wife and I both have Zen Microphotos. She plugs hers into a stereo at work and listens to stuff all day. She's a pharmacist and works 12 hour shifts, so she needs some variety. The problem was her battery wouldn't hold up all day. We tried some cheap universal adapters that didn't work very well. I hated the thought of spending $30, but it made a huge difference. Now she can plug into the stereo and the wall and listen all day without a problem. The product works great, just wish I didn't have to spend so much

I had the problem, 6 hours recharging my refurbished zen on the pc. Well now it's 3 with this charger

The sound is great on this speaker, however, the system after 30 days will not work on batteries and the unit gets extremely hot. Will be notifying the manufacturer.

I was worried, when I bought my ZEN, that I wouldn't always have a computer handy to recharge the unit from a USB port.

The power adaptor works very well -- but it's big, heavy, and bulky. I'm sure Creative could have done better in designing it.

I bought this product so that I wouldn't have to keep my computer on just to charge my Zen. What is nice about this is that it works for my wife's Zen player (different from mine) as well. It works as advertised. Other than being a little pricey, I would recommend this product.

This is a great product, and haven't had any problems with this, wished that it came with the mp3 player though!

The adaptor I received was only good for use in China. However, Amazon was very good about allowing a return and refund. I was told they were restocking so maybe the new inventory will match the description, but my order did not.

It works, but I now know I could have bought a similar power adapter at a cheaper price, a lot cheaper.

when i first purchased my zen player i was disappointed by the amount of time it took to charge. after purchasing the charger i was quite impressed with it. however, i am still unhappy that i was required to buy it in the first place and at what i felt was a very high price for a little transformer.

Product was well wrapped, delivered in original packaging, delivered on time. A great product for mobility, I would definitely recommend this merchant, it's worth the investment.

A must have for the Zen V+. Works very well and much faster than the usb charger. SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED WITH THE ZEN V+. You should not have to buy this separate.

Sure makes charging my Zen player easier. Don't have to leave it connected to the computer, and seems to charge faster.

The item does exactly what you would expect it to do. I have only had the plug for a month, but it appears to be rather durable and doesn't feel cheaply made.

This adaptor was perfect and it charged my Zen so quickly, and I really need that since I use it all the time. I am very happy with the item!!! It has easy instructions, maybe 4 steps max. So glad to have found such a great deal.

Trying to charge an mp3 player on a computer which does not have a hi speed usb port takes hours. With this charger I could charge the player in approximately 30-45 minutes. Understandably, there are many various chargers available, but the one fact that convinced me to purchase this charger was it works with Creative players. I really did not want to chance it with another manufacturer which may not have worked. Of course the beauty of a charger is it allows the player to be charged without the use of a computer.....

I'm in the same boat as Iris (below). My adaptor came with a Chinese plug. I exchanged it, and the second one also came with a Chinese plug.

Charges really quickly; much easier to use than charging through the computer. No instructions, though. I found through trial and error that I need to have the player off and LOCKED before charging. Otherwise, plugging it in only turns on the player and actually uses the battery, but does not charge it. Oy.

The Creative Zen Power adapter makes recharging and use very convenient. No need to hook up to a CPU and I can play my Zen for a 12 hour shift without the battery dying. The Zen is fully charged at the end of the shift for the drive back home and the drive into work the next day! Couldn't live without it!

This item is very good at charging the unit in little time and you can also use it to power the unit while you are listening to music through either your stereo or watching a movie on tv. You get about 2 hours of battery life without having this adapter plugged in so I recommend this if you want to watch any type of movies or videos for extended periods of time. Overall a very useful product.

Nice product, nothing to write home about. The adapter is somewhat pricey. nevertheless, it allows you to charge without the computer and in half the time.

Works as advertised. Charges my Creative Zen in less than an hour. Much faster than using the USB cord and computer.

I tried three times to get this item and struck out. The Warehouse had only adapters with Chinese electronic plugs. After the third time, I gave up. There is a disconnect between the nice customer service people in India and the warehouse in the U.S. so the customer service people could not help me get the correct item with a US plug.
