I got these for free when purchasing my pot set...but, i don't think any knife set is worth this kind of money. Nice packaging, and could make for a very nice partial wedding gift though, being as i haven't even touched them yet.

I absolutely love this set of knives. The wooden case it arrives in is very nice and professional looking. The best part is the actual sharpness of both knives and the wonderful grip handle on them both. You never feel as if the knife is slipping and they cut so well. I had always heard let the knife do all the work, don't press so hard and it is very true with these knives. I recommend these knives for any home cook or professional.

These knives are amazing. Made me realize how mediocre the set I already had actually is. I highly recommend this.

This is the second set of Rachael Ray knives that I have purchased. I am giving my first one to a friend who also likes to cook.
Sharp and comfortable to use. One does not need anything more.

I finally found the perfect deal! They were a FREE gift along with my R Ray pan set! Can't be free! However, when I got them, I realized just how great they are, and I would not have been upset if I'd had to pay for them! The wooden box is SO nice & sturdy, you won't be throwing it away. Initially I thought I'd only be really using the larger knife, but I find myself grabbing the small knife instead of a paring knife many times. The silicone handles make for very safe use! You won't worry about it slipping out of your hands. . I absolutely love it! I highly recommend it to anyone who cooks. Her products shows you y Rachel is one of the Top Chefs . Excellent knife set, you'll love it.

I had been planning on ordering this knife set for a very long time! If you have a child who is learning to cook, you could each use a knife and feel safe it won't slide out of their hand (provided they're old enough to be using a knife at all!). Excellent knife set, you'll love it.
I LOVE these knifes - Review written on April 05, 2008

I don't really care what the bad reviewers say.......I love these knives! My MIL bought one and said how great it was. Soft easy grip handles and can cut artichokes like butter. I also needed two knifes - one for veggies, the other for cutting meats. You don't have to waste time rewashing the knife. I also love the case. My kids liked to get my knifes from the block on the counter. I tossed the kitchen block and block knifes in the trash. This case can be put in the drawer and the kids wont know the wiser. Not even my 6 year old knows what is in it. Great place to store your knifes without getting damaged too! You know where they are! The only thing I would say is that I do not put them in the dishwasher - I hand wash and dry them. A great investment and well worth the money!

This are good knives, but I also purchased the set of 8 and like the set of 8 much BETTER!!! These are good, just not as good as the 8 piece. I suggest getting the 8 piece. It is a more practical and economical decision.

My wife no longer struggles with her old, dull knifes that couldn't hold an edge and that food stuck to the sides of the knife. Now she feels like Rachel Ray and cutting/slicing is no longer a chore.

I received this set for Christmas from my fiance, and I use them on a daily basis. Love them! I don't find them hard to clean or cheaply made. I always make sure to wash and dry my knives IMMEDIATELY after I'm done using them. The blades are nice and sharp, and I keep them that way by sharpening them often. I like the way the handle feels in my hand as I chop away. They might not be the most professional, but Rachael's target audience isn't mostly professional cooks or chefs. She's targeting those who like to cook at home but not necessarily for a living. So, in my kitchen, they work terrific.

This knife set came free with my cookware set. I think they are wonderful. I'm so happy I got them. There is nothing bad I can say about them! They cut into everything without a problem so far. I can't wait to use them everytime I cook! What a great deal! It can't be beat.

I didn't buy these knives because RACHEL uses them, I bought them because they are the best knives I ever used, and I went through all the biggies, Henckels, Wusthof, Al Mar. Proper care is essential when using ANY high quality ustensil, and when these knives are sharpened regularly, and cleaned properly, they will perform beautifully. You will LOVE them, I do!

The set is a bit better than regular knives sold at Walmart, but not by much... She wants you to think they are precision made in Germany... but no, China... Poor finish and grinding...Fit of rubber on grip seems cheap and will not keep out residue after cutting... You will have to wipe and oil to keep finish from having spots after cleaning ... Smile all you want to the bank, but these are not professional knives in any sense. Shame on me if I buy anything else you endorse.... You need to return to the candy counter where you began...
