This review is incomplete (thus only 4 stars) as I haven't used the bag for it's intended use yet. But, I have no doubts it will perform as anticipated. Being a lrge person, I have difficulty sleeping in a standard size bag. This bag has plenty of room to sprawl out in and I have no doubts that it will keep me plenty warm when camping.

It's not for backpacking; way too big and heavy for any trekking. But for car camping (bike camping in my case) it fit's the bill perfectly. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice large bag. Even being large (6'3" 250ish), I probably could share the bag and still be comfortable.

This is a great bag! I took it camping with my son's Boy Scout troop. There were three of us in it. My son 12, son 5 and me. While none of us are big people we were fine.

In other reviews many people mentioned that the bag was impossible to get into the cover for the bag, I did it! Most likely it was because I was trying to get it into a secondary cover for a single person sleeping bag that we took, just in case needed. So when I got this bag halfway into a one person sleeping bag case and realized the error, after many expletives, I was easily able to place this large bag into it's correct cover with some humor.

Hope this helps!

I ordered this bag in time for a trip to the wilderness in Eastern Washington, it was ordered in plenty of time, it never came, after I returned, it was delivered ,three days late.
Sent it back unopened....

This is the best sleeping bag I have ever used. It still zips apart for easy washing. Just don't try rolling it up and putting it in its carry bag. It is very hard. Just stuff it in.

Well made, warm, and full of features. I'm 6'1" and this bag has plenty of lenth, about 6" to spare. It has drawstrings that sinch up the top of the bag around your head. Loops for hanging the bag for drying/airing out. Comes with a "compression" sack. This bag is really heavy so it's not for hiking. All-in-all I'm impressed by the quality of this bag for its realatively low cost. My wife and I have really enjoyed using it. Oh, it has this nice flannel lining that my wife finds to be especially snuggly.

My husband and I bought this sleeping bag to use on a camping trip to Yellowstone. I was worried about being cold because I always am when we go camping. It was in the 30's at night but I slept great. Very comfortable. It is a little bigger than what we need, but otherwise great.

This sleeping bag is awesome! My husband and I used to zip 2 sleeping bags together, but it never really worked. This does! We can tuck our pillows into the top, zip up each side independently, and stay warm and cozy all night. Our dog can even snuggle up in between us, on the top of the bag! Plenty of room!

The flannel lining is so comfortable.

This isn't a hiking bag. It weighs 16.7lbs, and measures 27 inches high by 15 wide when it's packed into it's stuff sack. But what a stuff sack this is! Support straps run up all 4 sides, which can be tightened and released easily, and double as a carrying straps.

We used our brand new Mammoth 0 Degree Double Sleeping Bag a few weeks back on a 3 day car camping trip in North Georgia's Cloudland Canyon
and loved it! Very roomy, very good to the naked body and provided necessary warmth on very cool evenings. I rated it 4 as the double sided zippers were a bit hard to zip up each night and each morning found the bag unzipped to half length down upon waking. Now perhaps it was an unknown sleeping person unzipping the bag to allow some cool air in during the night but never remembered doing so! We are fairly restless sleepers with many position changes to sleep on back, each side, flip etc as the back needed relief from our poor brand new queen size Beauty Rest 18" air mattress, that need pumping up each day. (another review!) The main thing is it was roomy as promised, that we enjoyed the provided warmth it provided and we wanted. I would recommend buying this bag! No regrets! Camping in GA.

The bag is very comfortable and roomy for two. My wife is 5'7' and I am 6'3',love the extra length. We had two alike bags that zipped together before. The downside, the bag is verrry difficult to get in the case, and a little slippery on the air bed.

This bag has been great! Although it is a little bulky in size, it's very warm and comfortable. I would recomend this bag to any couple that does light camping.

The Teton Sports Mammoth 0-Degree sleeping bag is a great over-size bag for the money. The quality of construction is great, and when I used it in 35 degree F temperatures with another person it is very comfortable (in the desert, not sure how well it will perform in a humid environment). The bag also comes in a very well built sack with adjusting straps.
The picture on Amazon of it with three people in it however is a little misleading, in that picture it truly appears massive, but I would say two adults fit well in it, but adding any more bodies than that may get crowded. Also, I am 6'-4" feet tall and I would say this bag will be long enough for someone as tall as 6'-7".
worth the price - Review written on February 15, 2007

I hesitated buying this sleeping bag due to the price, but my boyfriend insisted on it. We went camping with it this past weekend, and the temperature was around 50 or mid-40's (we were on a beach in southern California), so we didn't exactly test it in extreme temperatures. It was so warm and cozy and definitely kept us warmer than our cheap sleeping bags would have. Actually it was so warm we had to open the sides a little to let air in! Having slept uncomfortably cold nights in a cheap sleeping bag before, this sleeping bag is worth the price for the good night's sleep alone. On our second night camping, it rained pretty hard and we realized our tent was leaking. We patched it with some tape and trash bags, but the inside of the tent was fairly wet. The outer material of the sleeping bag appears to be waterproof, so we were still pretty warm the whole night even though it got a little wet (we brought a spare sleeping bag to pad under the Teton - it was soaked). Now we just need a good tent to go with our awesome sleeping bag!

I do a lot of camping in very cold weather and I'm not exactly a tiny person. Neither is my husband. We both fit in this tent very comfortably being the size we are and in 22 degree weather we were VERY warm in this sleeping bag. It was well worth what we paid for it and then some. Before we got this sleeping bag, we didn't sleep well camping because it would be so cold we would shake all night, but this time other people came out of their tents saying they didn't get a good nights sleep because it was too cold. And we got good sleep!

So, this sleeping bag is wide enough for bigger folk (200+) and warm enough for REALLY cold weather.

Another cool feature it has is this piece that you can pull over your face and head if you want to, and it has this slight indention to where you can still breath, or tunnel as I call it. So your nose and mouth doesn't freeze.

This is a great sleeping bag if you don't mind the size and weight of it when it's packed up.

My husband and I fit comfortably in it with room to toss and turn. My son had room to slide in too for story time or morning cuddles.

I haven't tested it in really cold weather, so I can't attest to that point, but overall it was really soft and comfy and we love it!
