This was a last minute purchase and I had some doubts, but since I needed the mattress I purchased it. Imagine my surprize at how easy it was to inflate and since I slept on it, I can truly say it was comfortable and only required one additional inflation after the initial one over the course of a weeks's use. I would highly recommend this bed.
Great Bed, Holds Up to ACTIVE 4 yr old! - Review written on October 14, 2008

Rating: 4 out of 5

After reading the negative reviews, I was worried about this purchase but I took a deep breath, crossed my fingers and ordered anyway. I'm glad I did.
It's been about a month since this arrived and I've used this bed almost every single night, usually deflate in the morning and reinflate at night. Even after repeatedly telling my 4 yr old son not to hop or jump on it, he still does and it's still in great shape.
After filling it up for the first time, the bed itself expanded some during the night and I had to refill it with more air but it keeps air really well and thus far there are no leaks.
I will fill it up a few hours before bedtime and then once again with a little air right before bed time just to make sure it's firm since my son is constantly rolling or jumping on it.
I love that it's so versatile, it's a definate 4 stars, I'd give it five if I didn't have to refill it at all and if it came with it's own air pump which it DOESN'T. But for the price, you can't beat it!

The air-bed was easy to use and put away. It did require a pump, which I had, but did not indicate anything on box or information.

This was cheaper than the Aerobed for a reason. It didn't come with a pump, so I had to purchase one for $25.

For the price, this really can't be beat. It's really comfortable, especially in the "double stack" configuration. It's easy to unfold and separate them also. "4-in-1" is a little misleading, as it's counting the twins as two, but even still, 3 distinct configurations for this price is a great deal. I haven't had leaking problems, though I do not use it frequently for for extended periods. It inflates very fast with the Coleman Rechargeable Quick Pump, which I also highly recommend. Overall, it's perfect for what I needed, which is just an occasional bed for visitors or visiting others.

I bought this for a yankee swap at work and everyone was fighting for it, coleman is usually always a reliable brand!! you do need to buy a pump for it though as it does not come with one.
Affordable and Comfortable Guest Bed - Review written on September 14, 2008

This portable airbed is easy to store and set up! I tested it each night for a week as a guest and found it's a comfortable width, length, and firmness. I used the single size with double height but I also like the option to make it into a king size if needed. I bought the air pump along with the bed to make inflating and deflating so easy. I highly recommend this bed as a good value for the money!

We love them.

extremely fast delivery! I ordered it on Saturday night and received it on Monday! I was surprised with the quality. I didn't expect too much from this inexpensive air bed, but it's still great so far. the only thing i don't like about this bed is that it's too short. If you are over 5ft 5", you probably want a longer bed.

We've used this airbed 3 times so far..
We camp in a tent and this really makes in comfortable. Each camping trip was a week in length and we did NOT have to refill this mattress once.
All four of us slept very well on this air bed.

Purchased two of these for some guests we had visiting. Being able to use them as a double height twin is realy comfortable. You cant beat the ability to configure as a king or two twins. Buy two and you can sleep four people with plenty of comfort and support.

Purchased this air mattress for camping with my son's Scout troop. Spent a week on it in a rocky camp this summer and it was a life saver. Some of the best sleeping I have done in camp! The double mattress does a good job of isolating you away from whatever is on the ground below you, and provided good support (ie. no back or hip pain as I have had with other mattresses. It lost a little air over a week, but not much. The valve system for filling and retaining air is very good on this product.

The mattress rolled up into it's own carrying sling and that worked pretty good as well. Definitely not any you would want to pack in anywhere, but great for car camping or as a guest bed.

The only minor issue is that the two mattresses stacked on top of each other would slide a little bit if you got off and on a few times, but was not a usability issue. Highly recommended if you want a good night of sleep while camping. Also recommend the coleman recharable quick pump to go with it. It filled these mattresses in short order.

In my mind, Coleman is the mark of quality. So I bought this because I loved the idea of the different configuration possibilities, but one half deflated considerably over just one night. So I took it back to the store I bought it from and exchanged it for another one of the same, hoping it was a fluke that one half was perfect and the other was flat. The replacement did exactly the same thing. I traded it for a third, hoping it would be the charm. One half is great, while the other has a slow leak that requires refills every other day. I've bought cheaper-brand air mattresses with better lasting results.

The air mattress is fine. It's a garden variety that you can get anywhere. The problem was with the shipping. The package tracking showed that the item wasn't being shipped until the 14. unfortunately we needed it for the 14th so we attempted to cancel the order and just bought the same item from Target (for the same price). The day the order was canceled it arrived. Now, there is no way a huge corporation like Amazon doesn't know exactly when their items are shipping. They try to scare customers with the later date hoping they will pay extra for shipping. The item may arrive the same day using the free or lower shipping rate, but they don't want us to know that.
Now I am stuck with this item and I will be forced to pay shipping to return it all because Amazon refuses to show accurate ship dates.
Just shop your local Target. You'll know exactly what you are getting and when.

Though I haven't used this bed personally, my kids (10 and 12) have several times, and for days at a time. They've used it as two single beds, and stacked as one high bed. No leaks or complaints, great product.

After looking at overpriced and unwielding solutions like the AeroBed, I stumbled upon the Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed. It was exactly what I neeed (a flexible, inexpensive bed for a short term guest). The bed is well made, didn't leak after days of use and is very comfortable. In the stacked mode, it high enough off the floor to allow a sleeper to sit and rise comfortable. The seals allow you to inflate it with a manual or powered pump (not included) quickly and securely. The split design is very flexible allowing many configurations so you don't need multiple beds for various situations. I'm completely happy with this product and highly recommend it. Add a manual or powered pump and you'll still come out ahead of one of those fancy, overpriced models.

We initially bought the Coleman 4-in-1 quickbed for a trip where we were staying in a sublet, so that we would not have to use the pull-out bed that was provided. We thought that we would get 5-7 days of sleeping on it and probably stow it away for guests. However, this bed has seen use every night for at least two months, and it has only been reinflated ONE TIME! Great product for the money and durability.
Great air mattress - Review written on June 25, 2008

Rating: 4 out of 5

The air mattress is very comfortable and easy to fill. You can close the valve without removing the air pump so you don't loose any air pressure and it keeps the mattress nice and firm. When stacked it is very comfortable for a single person. The only drawback is the zipper that keeps the two mattresses together as a king size mattress. It does keeps them stuck together, but they do space apart somewhat. As is spaces apart you are drawn to that part of the mattress. I had to literally move my kids out of the crevase several times a night. However, the mattress was comfortable and easy to take down and roll up in it's carrying bag.

We purchased this for some car camping we plan to do this summer. The mattress seems well made and sturdy. The two halves can be independently filled and separated completely. So one person can move around without sending the other one flying.
We will see how well it holds up in the field but I am optimistic. I also purchased the rechargeable Coleman air pump which is noisy as hell but makes filling and deflating the airbed a minute job.

Don't bother with a more expensive air mattress! This one is a great buy and lasts just as long, maybe even longer. We use this one several times a week and it holds up great. You can also use it as two separate mattresses so you're getting 2 for the price of 1. Unlike some of the others, you don't need to plug in the air pump since it uses 4 D batteries.

I have a two and three year old and we are always trying to figure out sleeping arrangements when traveling. I purchased this and used it for an extended trip to see friends and family. It worked perfectly! I bought light weight sleeping bags and they slept great on the beds. I love that I have so many options with it and can use it for family visiting us in the future. I looked at tons of blow up beds for toddlers and this was so much cheaper. Other than missing a character design like Dora or Thomas, this was certainly a great deal for me!

The 4-in-1 Quickbed had served us well in the home and out camping.

Now, let's start it out by saying they're not for backpackers. However, if you go by car to the campsite, like us, these are an excellent balance between comfort and portability.

Product has proven durable. With the Coleman rechargable quick pump, they're quickly inflated and deflated, making ease of use very high.

Having them at home provides for easy set up for that occasional drop-in guest (or two).

I bought this b/c we have a small apartment and need a bed for guests. My father slept on this and one of the nights I saw him on our couch instead. So I guess that is a sign it wasn't the most comfortable! He didn't complain saying it was horrible so it was "ok" for a few nights but not ideal. I like the idea of it being a twin or a queen so I think that's a plus and it seems sturdy & not leaky, so it really seems to be a comfort issue.

When my old airbed (not a Coleman bed) finally crapped out, I found this Coleman 4-in-1 bed. It was reasonably priced for its flexibility, from king-size to a raised twin, etc. I found myself sleeping on this bed in the raised-twin position for nearly a year. It was durable, comfortable and soft with its dura-suede feel. Each month, I had to reinflate the mattresses once or twice (preferring an extra firm feel); however, the mattresses never really deflated that much for me. The time it took to inflate (or deflate) both mattresses took ~5 minutes or so. The only negative thing I have to add is: the pump is NOT included with the bed. You have to purchase it separately, and it's battery-operated only, no AC adapter.

10 customers found this review helpful, 1 did not.

The company advertises that this 4-in 1 air mattress set can be doubled over to make a bottom and top mattress, adding to the comfort of the sleep. This would be great, however doing so causes the mattresses to unstably rock back and forth.

They also offer a 'leak free' guarantee. That's also false, and if you have extended uses of the bed, plan to inflate it once every other day, if not more.

The quality matches slightly better than what you can find at Family Dollar for half the price. Only slightly. Don't buy it.

I bought this item for my daughter to use for a sleep over. Loved the ease of set up, inflated in a couple of minutes. Loved how two can be connected to make one king size bed or they can be separate for two twins. My daughter (10 and light weight) loved it so much, she continued sleeping on it, with the twins on top of one another, for a couple more nights. Last night, the top one had deflated. I didn't worry, it had been inflated for nearly a wk. I re-inflated it. An hour later, it was flat. Re-inflated, again. Flat, again, in an hour. Now, I am off to email Coleman to see what they will do. I really like the concept and had planned on bringing one on our next vacation, but $40 was a little much for less than a wk of using it.
