Really nice gift for yourself or your wine drinking frinds. We bought 12 of them 2 years ago and they last about that long with fairly heavy use. Buy a few for spares and last minute gifts.

Have had this product for a couple of months and use on a regular basis - very easy and efficient to use. Even works on the plastic corks. Just a little noisy. Would definitely recommend.

I don't drink wine very often, but now I find myself opening wine just because I love how easy it is. I purchased two others at the same time as Christmas gifts. It is a little big, but it sits in the corner of my counter, so it doesn't take up too much valuable counter space.

This product only lasted a couple of months after I received it for Christmas. We have the model 4208. I wasn't very impressed with it when it did work, and at some point it stopped removing corks and started making sad whirring sounds (yes, I did recharge it).

This wine opener is extremely easy to use. It looks ok to set out on the counter all the time, so it's convenient and much harder to lose than regular wine openers! Sometimes doesn't work on plastic corks, but that doesn't detract from the usefulness. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I were having such a time opening wine due to arthritis. I saw this and decided to give it a try. It is EXCELLENT! We have not had one bottle that didn't open perfectly and with ease. I was so thrilled, that I bought one for my son. Now he is a real gadget lover person so I thought he might enjoy it too. He is always appreciative when having received a gift but isn't a person who gets effusive. This opener broke that mode. He was thrilled and said that he gets almost giddy when he opens a new bottle of wine. He couldn't rave enough of how well it works, how easy it works and what fun it is to have. This is a fantastic product at this price! I work for a winery and have seen them all. My staff fights over the one I bought. This is the best opener for multi-bottle openings, and looks great on a counter (looks kinda like a large electric toothbrush). It will open at least 30 bottles on one charge, and is extremely easy to use. Then it sits on the charger waiting for the next party. I highly recommend this product - a great gift for your wine loving friends and family.

I was invited to a dinner party and the cook had this new electric wine opener. It was the hit of the dinner. A new toy. This wine opener is very easy to use. Just insert the bottle, press one end of the toggle button and wait for the pop. then, pull out the bottle and press the other end of the button. Out comes the cork. It stays charged for a long time with infrequent use. It takes overnight to charge it after it is fully discharged. We don't leave it plugged in.

Product works great.
It is important to make sure the opener is vertical to the bottle. My wife held it at a slight angle to the bottle and permenantly bent the corkscrew. It still works well, but not a good as before...

The Oster wine bottle opener has provided excellent service. It's never presented a problem. A good buy.

This is by far the best wine opener I have ever used. Simple to use and even easier to retrieve the cork. And I have found that it does hold a charge for a long time. I don't keep it plugged in all the time, instead we just keep it in our pantry and take it out whenever we need to open a bottle. Has worked fine every time. I only plug it in occasionally to maintain the charge.

No problems with this one, and it looks good too. It does tend to lose it's charge rather quickly if left off the charger (completely dead after a full charge and two days off the base station).

Beats the heck out of struggling with those conventional cork screws. Works on the synthetic corks too.

I have arthritis in my hands and this is the easiest way for me to open aWine bottle of wine. Compared to other openers, this one is soo easy, just place on top of the bottle and presto, the cork is out. It's so easy a caveman can do it! It works on corks and plastic stoppers. No excess pressure necessary. Keep it on the charging stand and it is ready when you are!

This won't be a long review as quite frankly it doesn't need one - this is super easy to use and is such a timesaver. I would recommend this to everyone and bought one for my friend as I was so impressed I just had to pass it on! If only everything in life was this easy!

The Oster Electric Wine Opener does a superb job at making open wine bottles a breeze. I have not found a wine bottle that fits in the opening it will not open. I highly recommend this item.

My Italian grandparents love their wine. After noticing that my grandpa was having trouble with the "Genie" wine opener, I was in search of an alternative. I found this product and bought it based on the great reviews. They LOVE it. It is so easy to use. They live in a 55+ community and show off the toy to all of their friends and neighbors. Well, this is the BEST wine opener I have ever owned. With the simple touch of a button the cork is removed perfectly, every time. I have had the opener for one month and it is still working on its initial charge.

I love the auto matic wine opener. It opens about 30 bottles without re-charging. And it is fun to use.

I really had high hopes for the Oster. We open a bottle of wine a day - sometimes more if we're having friends over. As a wine reviewer, I have numerous wine corkscrews and devices in my home to do this with. I have always searched for something easy and quick.

This is a tall device - maybe a foot long - that you need to keep charged up. When you are ready to use it, you lower that cylinder over the wine cork and push a button. It draws the cork up and out of the bottle, fully removing it from the cork. Then you push the opposite button for the cork to eject from the device.

It works well enough for a few runs - but then it quickly loses its traction. I have had this for a year now and keep hoping that it will start working again. It doesn't. The worm will go maybe halfway into a cork and then jam. It will stop turning. It works better with natural cork, and pretty much not at all for anything else.

Also, because the worm goes all the way through the cork, it drills a hole straight through. First, this causes cork bits to eject out into the wine. Second, it means if you are planning on recorking the wine and storing it for later drinking, the wine will leak out unless you store it end-up.

If you have dry or crumbling corks you're going to be in trouble. The usual two-prong remover is always going to work better in those solutions.

I could see if you only drank "real cork" wine and only used this once a week or so that it might last you a while. If you were writing a review after a month of once-a-week usage you might think it was great. Unfortunately, if you are a more avid wine drinker, there are just too many situations where the device fails, and the worm wears down very quickly.

Plus, the fact that you have to leave this plugged in all the time makes it an energy leach. In a world where we are all trying to cut down on the power we draw from the electrical system, and keep our cell phones and such unplugged when we can, to leave a corkscrew plugged in all the time seems very wasteful.

I definitely recommend a Rabbit instead. It works VERY easily, draws the cork out in one easy pull, and requires no electricity at all.

I've had one of these for a few years and I love it. If youv'e ever had trouble opening a bottle of wine, you won't anymore. I just bought another one as a wedding gift. These make great gifts, because they are really nice and not very expensive.

Worked great for 2 weeks. Plastic corks got stuck and would not eject. Item ended up burning out after 3 weeks and needed to be discarded. Would not recommend at all.

I got this for a friend who suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome. I liked it so much, I also have one! It takes a few seconds to open a wine bottle and release the cork. On one charge, you can open up to forty bottles without recharging. I recently brought it on a week long trip. For the price of a manual bottle opener, you can get this one!

This opener works great.....spirals down, removes cork into body of opener and then with another push of the button, removes cork from opener....if you drink wine, this is for you...also would make a fabulous gift...

I did not purchase this item from Amazon, however I used the item for about a month maybe 4 times a week. After a month it did not work and I threw it out. Went back to my old kitchenaid screw with handles to remove cork. Great idea but like a lot of things in this world not substanial enough

Works great no problems what so ever. Very hand to have around. Takes the effort out of opening a bottle.
