This was my Christmas gift last year. I am the only one who drinks coffee at my house, and usually just 2 cups a day. I love flavored coffees. I used to use a small 4 cup with cone shaped filters and I was so tired of having coffee grounds in my coffee every morning, so Santa bought this one. I love it. Simple to use, works fast and I can switch out flavors easily. I buy my coffee thru Amazon subscription so I don't have to worry about trying to find the cups at the stores.

I have noticed that it seems louder than it was when I first got it, but that doesn't bother me. It's only for a minute. The only thing I don't like is that the water container seems small. I wish it was bigger so I didn't have to refill as often.

They sell a K-cup that you can reuse over and over again with your own coffee rather than buying their cups. I have it, I wasn't impressed with it. It's hard to get the grounds out of it when you want to brew another cup. It seems like you have to clean it after every single use. I buy the cups and save myself some aggravation.

The Keurig is OVER RATED! - Review written on November 09, 2008

I was at Bed, Bath & Beyond researching these coffee machines to replace my Starbucks Barista one cup/mug coffee maker (that thing makes a mess!). Anyway, there was someone demonstrating the Keurig. She showed me how it worked and made me a cup of coffee. I chose one of those non-popular brands (pumpkin spice), took a sip and wanted to throw it up. It tasted like cheap, truck-stop coffee!

Next to her display area was the Tassimo by Bosch (the newer model). I've already done my homework on this machine and knew that it was the better of the two. Tassimo makes great coffee and more popular brands unlike what Keurig has to offer. I also think that the K pods are clunky with way too much plastic for our landfills. Tassimo made more sense to me. I also like the fact that the Tassimo has a built-in water filter system that tells you when you're low in water. Keurig doesn't have that. All they have is over 130 unpopular coffee brands. Bosch did a great job with their Research & Development (R&D) to re-create this machine. The Braun version of this machine had a lot of problems but Bosch corrected them with this new machine. So, go out and get yourself a Tassimo and don't get the Keurig.

If you are in a small office, have different tastes then the rest of your family, or just making one cup at a time then this is the best machine for you. The variety of coffee's, tea's, and hot chocolates made for this machine are top notch. I enjoy being able to have multiple cups a day of different flavors. What can I say this is the perfect coffee maker!!

I just got the B60 a couple days ago. So far I love it. I got it at BJ's for $129. with 88 K-Cups, not a bad deal. I like that you can program it to turn on in the morning, so after my shower it's all ready to brew my cup of coffee. My only complaint is that now I'm drinking more coffee than I used to ;-)

Every morning I look forward to a good cup of coffee. Since I bought the reconditioned Keurig B60 I get a great cup of coffee but one which is served by a neurotic old friend.. I often wonder if this morning the brewing temperature will change from 192 to 112 degrees or if the digital time will be true or five hours earlier or if I choose a small cup my old friend serves me an overflowing large cup. If I exchange this coffee maker for one that has no flaws I will not be happy because I would miss all those digital quirks in the mornings.

I really like this machine. I have a habit of making a cup of coffee and leaving everything until a few days later. Unfortunately, this creates a nasty mess for me to clean up and in some cases nice variety of mold and fungus - YUCK! Keurig has created the perfect solution for lazy people like me who hate cleaning up coffee grounds, filters and washing the pot! My only complaint - and it is very minor, is this thing is a tad noisy when it heats the water.

After trying the Keurig B60 coffee maker at a friends and raving about it, my dear husband surprised me with one just like it for Valentine's Day. It has been 8-months and I am "in love" with with K-Cup machine.

I use to waste more coffee, and I never got the right consistency with my drip coffee makers. After spending loads of money on expensive coffees, and several coffee makers, I finally got one I LOVE.

*Coffee is hot hot hot (which my drip maker could not match)
*The variety is excellent
*It's so easy and quick
*Perfect coffee maker for me as I am the only one that drinks coffee at home.

5 STARS AND MORE; well worth the $$

The B50 does a great job, and the k-cups from Amazon have served well. If I had it to do over I would consider the B50 - less expensive, no chrome, and just missing a cup size I don't use. I haven't used the reusable filter - but it is there if needed.

It has been great to wake up at 4:30 AM with an idea, and instantly have coffee at my computer with no fuss. No interruptions to the thought process.

This makes a wonderful cup of coffee....we purchased the k-cup insert that allows us to use our own ground coffee...to be able to have a fresh.. hot... cup of coffee in under 30 seconds is wonderful...without the need to make an entire pot. We now own two...one for the house in Michigan and one for the house in Florida....we like it that much...I would... and... have... most certainly recommened this Keurig B60 to anyone thinking about making the purchase..you wont be disappointed..also the price on Amazon is much lower than I found in the stores.
Consistently good coffee: Produces loads of trash - Review written on September 29, 2008

It make consistently good coffee, and hot water on tap for making tea. It's very easy to use, and it requires virtually no maintenance. We have one of these in our office, and it's been a solid performer and hassle free. However, one consideration is that every cup of coffee made produces trash - the coffee pod packaging, and for that I deducted 2 stars.

I'd consider having one in my home, save for the trash issue.

I first used this machine at my mother's house while visiting her. It was so easy and convenient, and I loved the coffee. My kids loved using it for hot chocolate. We purchased one for ourselves when we returned home, and have enjoyed it every day. It is so easy (I can't use that word enough to describe this brewer!) to use. If I want a cup of coffee in the middle of the day, I pop in a K-cup and have my coffee in just a few minutes with no clean up. We also use it for tea, and the kids are still loving it for hot chocolate.

Noise...it does make a bit of a louder noise for a few seconds, but not very loud, and over quickly. It is a machine...I would expect some humming noises to go along with it.

Flavor...my husband and I are very satisfied with the taste and strength of the coffee. I also love the hazelnut flavored coffees. My kids love the hot chocolate.

Convenience...whenever we have company we offer them coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and can serve everyone what they want...so many choices without a lot of work.

Amount...I do not understand all of the issues that people mention with the amount of beverage that comes out. You have three sizes to choose from. The middle setting is enough to fill a mug about 3/4, leaving plenty of room for milk and sugar. The large setting fills a regular size coffee mug almost to the top, just enough room left to have it not spill over while carrying. We do not use the small setting, but I guess that might work well for some specialty drinks?

Over all, we love it, use it regularly, have no issues, and recommend it to all of our friends and family.

I'm a Swede who loves his coffee. Unfortunately, my wife of 36 yrs doesn't. The Keurig really works well for me. I can have a delicious cup of coffee anytime I want. No more long brewing times. No more wasted coffee. No more bitter coffee. It is fast (less than 30 seconds per cup) and doesn't make a mess. Guests can have bold or decaff, while I enjoy my Caribou. There are many top brands of coffee to choose from. The pump noise takes some getting used to, but I'm sold. I have one at home and one in our Montana 5th wheel. I highly recommend the Keurig B60.

The Keurig B60 is perfect for my husband and me. We don't drink coffee every day, and when we do, one cup each is enough for us. We are very happy with our Keurig. Others have mentioned noise from the machine. We don't find it noisy at all. We are enjoying trying the many varieties of coffees and teas available. That's another plus - we can each have whatever coffee flavor we want!

The Keurig B60 is a great product. There is a vast selection of various coffees, teas and hot chocolate available. It is probably a little more expensive to use the K-cups than bulk coffee, but once you have experienced the ease and convenience, you will no why. The only down side would be the noisy pump. I am already used to that.

This is the best single serve coffee maker I've ever used. It is very easy and the best part is that there is no mess to clean up. Just throw out the coffee K-cup. The K-cups are a little on the expensive side at about $[...] for a box of 18 and you can find them just about anywhere. Target, bed bath and beyond, linens n things, sears, macys and even some supermarkets. I also order them online from [...] where you get the most variety and free shipping if you spend $[...]. They also have a hot chocolate for the machine that is yummy. The coffee to me isn't as great as if you go out for a cup at Dunkin Donuts but it comes close. The water holder lasts for 8-10 cups. I would say it takes less than 1 minute to heat up and make a cup of coffee. Another cool feature is that you don't have to use a k-cup, you can use it for just hot water, which most single serve coffee makers don't allow you to do. I use it just for hot water all the time, to make tea or for cooking. The temperature is very hot so you never have to worry about a cold cup of coffee.

Before acquiring a Keurig, drinking a cup of coffee at home basically just wasn't a good use of time. The hassle of grinding beans, brewing a pot (and dumping out all the wasted extra coffee!), cleaning up, etc etc made at-home coffee pretty unappealing. The Keurig, however, is absurdly easy to use and requires no cleanup if you're using "official" k-cups (rather than filling the [optional] k-cup perma-insert with your own coffee/tea). Most people would agree that few things in life are better than a fresh cup of coffee. With the Keurig machine (and the *huge* range of k-cups available now from excellent coffee companies), you can always have a fresh cup brewed for you in about 10 seconds. Nirvana on your counter.

Short and sweet: this is the absolute best way to brew coffee one cup at a time, hands down. The variety of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available for the Keurig is mind-boggling. Something for everybody. But on the off chance nothing suits your taste, you can purchase (about $15) a reusable filter to make your own brew.
Keurig B60 Coffee Brewer - Review written on August 15, 2008

1 customer found this review helpful.

We love this coffee brewer! Took a little while to figure out cup sizes and brew strength, but once we crossed that bridge we brew like old pros. The convenience of one-cup brewing is great. Now, instead of tossing out old, burnt coffee and brewing a fresh pot, or discarding leftovers, we only brew what we drink...and it's always fresh!

We have used large mugs for coffee for many years. This system uses a more standard size cup for reference, so our initial cups of coffee were less than what we were accustomed to. However, we pressed on to find a balance we could live with.

We also like our coffee strong, so we had to find the best fit for our tastes. To that end, we use Green Mountain Dark Magic and Green Mountain French Roast set on the large cup size. These two blends deliver a great cup of coffee in either regular or decaf.

We heartily recommend this product. If you like good coffee with lots of variety, the Keurig system is for you.

Great coffee machine!!! I hated my 10 cup coffee maker because we always wasted half of the pot. In the morning I can get a cup of coffee without having to wait! The noise is not as bad as others make it out to be and the coffee is way strong enough (unless you like to drink gasoline). If you are debating this purchase go out and buy one... you won't regret it :)

This machine is perfect if you don't mind the expense and don't require strong coffee. It has been working flawlessly for me for several months now. I have used many of the K cups, but have more recently been using the reusable filter to save on money. Using K cups you will spend around $400 per year on coffee if you drink two cups/day. Because the water passes through the coffee very quickly, it is impossible to get it very strong the way some people like. Still, I buy the strongest coffee available, to make what some consider a weak/moderate coffee (fine for my tastes). Had I done my research before buying this, I may have opted for a french press instead (which I didn't even know about at the time).

I am a coffee nut. I see all these glowing reviews and wonder, have you ever had good coffee? This thing makes one expensive and small, weak cup of not very good coffee. And what about the little time bomb it leaves behind to decompose for the next 1,000 years in a land fill? Cuisinart makes a nice small one cup brewer which actually makes decent coffee at 1/2 the price. Buy local, buy good coffee and find out how good fresh coffee can be. This is a bogus toy for lazy people.

this is a great machine - easy to use; no mess; easy to fill the water reservoir. The one disadvantage with the K cups is you can't control brew strength. I was disappointed in the weak coffee it seemed to brew (even on the smallest cup setting) until a friend told me to make sure to buy "extra bold" K cups to ensure the kind of coffee I'm used to drinking. That seemed to do the trick.

I will start off by saying that the Keurig B60 makes excellent coffee. My advice to those in the market for a Keurig Brewer is to by THIS model (or the next step up) and buy it though Amazon or a regular "bricks and morter" retailer, not through Keurig's website. While Keurig machines are priced somewhat like Apple Computers (one price wherever you purchase it; $150 for the B60), I noticed that the retail prices can fluctuate here on good ol' Amazon, and better deals can be found! I orginally ordered mine through Keurig's website which proved to be a big mistake. My first mistake was I cheaped out and bought the lower end B40 model for $100. When it arrived, I couldn't wait to start using it. I was shocked to hear how much noise and vibration there was! It vibrated to the point that the empty cup danced across the plate and I had to hold it with my hand. The pump made so much noise that it would wake up any family member out of a dead sleep. I immediately called Keurig Customer Service. They told me to place a mouse pad under the brewer to dampen the noise, which was being caused by my granite countertop. I did that with no improvement. I called again and asked to return the unit, by upgrading to the B60 (the machine I was more familiar with and should have gotten in the first place). They gladly agreed and sent out the new machine right away. They said they would email me a return postage label within a few days. I received the B60, once again very excited about using the new toy. It's a beautiful addition to the kitchen, and has many useful features not found on the B40: On/Off timer setting (similiar to a timer on a regular coffee maker, where it turns on the heating element at a designated time, so you can immediately make your first cup instead of waiting for it to warm up. Subsuquently it will turn itself off the same way, so you are not "running" the machine all day). Excellent feature. It also has an additional cup size that the B40 doesn't have. Unfortunately, after two days the B60 started malfunctioning! It started dispensing water haphazardly, first not at all, then it would dispense too much. You never knew what exactly was going to happen with each cup. It ended up malfuntioning more than it worked. After another call to Keurig, they had me "reprogram" the machine by running plain water through the machine in a 2 small cup, 1 medium cup, 1 large cup cyle. This little excersize in futility didn't seem to fix the problem. I called again after several days and requested another return. It took a few more calls to their Customer Service to get the return authoriztion and shipping label, and they actually got somewhat argumentative with me! The Keurig machines were stacking up! Ultimately both machines got returned but it took another two calls to get my refund! They do not like to part with their money! I re-purchased a new B60 elsewhere (not directly from Keurig) at a much better price and have been thoroughly pleased with the coffee and performance of the brewer! I have a family member who insists on Dunkin' Donuts Coffee, whereas I prefer Timothy's. I have purchased several "My K-Cups" which work quite well, but that kind of blows the convenience factor, as I have to prepare several of them ahead (cleaning and refilling) and continually pop the black k-cup insert in and out. Ultimately it's a great, fun to use, machine, but I suggest buying from a retailer that offers reasonable return policy or customer service in case you get a problem machine. Also Amazon has the BEST prices on K-Cups by subscription, bar none, than any other source that I can find.

I had been researching Keurig for months before I finally decided to order the B60. I had not so great results with previous pod type coffee makers and found they made a very weak luke warm coffee. During the week, I am the only one drinking coffee so I hate making a pot to have it sit there and get 'burnt'. Plus, sometimes I want a cup of coffee in the late afternoon but again, I don't want to make an entire pot for one cup.
I received my pot and at first it was really loud and leaked some water. I contacted Keurig who said I had a defective machine (to the person who mentioned that theirs leaks, it shouldn't leak and you should exchange it) so I exchanged it. Now I have no problems with the machine. Yes, the pump is alittle loud, but not to the point that others have described it. Plus, I had a pod type coffee machine a few years ago that was MUCH louder than this.
I have been using the middle cup setting (8oz?) and haven't had any issues of week coffee... but I have been using a stronger dark roast coffee.
All in all I love the machine so far. Thanks!

I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband is. He only has a cup at a time, so small-capacity makers were what he wanted. He went through all kinds of coffee makers before he asked me for this one. After 4 or 5 makers in a year and a half, I was pretty dubious, but he in fact is still using it almost a year later. I call that a huge success. It's definitely cheaper than him visiting the coffee shop every day, so that makes me happy.
