After using a synthetic sleeping bag for almost a year, I went back to the basics and bought this Coleman Colossal 20 degree sleeping bag and I'm very glad I did. The synthetic bag never kept me warm enough when the temperatures dipped but with the Coleman, I slept comfortably each night. Great size, cotton cover kept the bag from slipping off the cot, a real problem with the synthetic bag; the lining is extremely soft and comfortable, overall, a real winner.
Review of Coleman 20 degree Super King Sleeping Bag - Review written on June 02, 2008

For me this is an excellent sleeping bag. The soft top edge is very comfortable on my neck and face. We live just off the ocean in California and the filling components weight in this bag is great for this environment. I am a large man and this bag's size fits me fine. I would not be hesitant to recommend this bag.

This sleeping bag was all it claimed to be and more. Excelent pricing! We saved over 25% off the price of our local retailer and no gas was used to get it. That alone is a huge savings. Free shipping was a great selling point. We will use Amazon.com agian many times after this purchase. Thanks!

Very comfortable sleeping bag. Very warm as well. Great price. I bought two to zip together. It is very difficult to line them up and zip together perfectly. Further, one of the zippers came unstitched. Not worth shipping back to amazon for replacement, but frustrating nonetheless. They should use their old fashioned hardcore metal zippers I remember from my youth.
Amazing sleeping bag! - Review written on February 27, 2008

My husband and I bought two of these for a trip to Tidioute, PA for labor day weekend. We were advised that it does get cold at night there. They were right. It got in the 30's at the cabin that weekend. We were very warm and snuggly in these bags! We absolutely loved the flannel lining! And the padding was very thick for a sleeping bag. The size was perfect to pull over our head! They are somewhat bulky, so I wouldn't take it backpacking. Otherwise, These are awesome! They seem very well made. The zipper is very sturdy. I don't think we will be needing anymore sleeping bags for a long time.
very warm - Review written on February 13, 2008

This was my first sleeping bag so in that sense it was special, but I have used it in cold wheather (~32F) and it worked great. I was almost sweating inside.
I also used it on the carpet if I sleep on the floor....it is enough padding for me.
Decent for outside - Review written on February 07, 2008
Rating: 3 out of 5
I just got the sleeping bag today, and it was very warm and cozy. I especially liked the inside design and the soft feeling. However, it was hard to roll it up nicely, and as one reviewer commented, it smelled a little funny when I got into it (but washing will probably solve this problem). The other thing I found a little bit inconvenient was that it was heavier than I thought. Maybe it's because it's cotton material and is for the 20 degree. However, I wasn't going to use this for outdoor, but was thinking of using it for sleeping in my friend's dorm room over the weekend or at a community center when I go on a retreat from church. So I think I'll just go with the 30-degree or 40-degree one and return this sleeping bag I purchased. However, I think it'll be great for the outdoor use!!

This sleeping bag will keep you nice and toasty all though the night. When unzipped it lays nicely over a king size bed to keep you and yours nice and warm.

Bought 3 of these for me and my 2 sons, all of us over 6'2. Nice and roomy, can pull up all the way to my face and even over my face a bit (I'm 6'3). Material inside is nice and soft, perfect to rub your toes on in the morning as you wake up. Zippers work well, easy to open the bag a bit in the morning to cool down a bit as the temperature warms up.

I purchased this sleeping bag for my husband. He loves it. It's roomier than many sleeping bags, and it washes well using the large load setting of the washing machine.
Nice sleeping bag - Review written on December 21, 2007

This bag is really nice. My 10 year old used it and said he was "toasty"
Good value for the money. Would like to have had straps around it instead of cords. It's a little hard to keep in roll.

This sleeping bag--I ordered it for myself. My Doctor recommended I try sleeping in a sleeping bag---right on top of my bed---to lessen the affects of my arthritis in the winter and morning stiffness. The ''cocoon effect" keeping body heat close to you all night---WELL IT WORKS! I have felt a significant change in my pain level. Some of you may want to try this.
As far as camping-sorry thats not what I got it for.
It came quickly--well boxed--perfect condition--large--lots of room--flannel lining is great.....
GREAT bag for claustrophobic - Review written on November 23, 2007

This bag is so warm..so soft. You don't feel all squeezed in and you can slide all the way in if you are 5'4" like me :-) All cotton, all soft and a nice soft color. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is I have to warn you: WASH AND DRY this bag before you use it. Much like sheets and comforters the fabric is treated with something smelly. You won't believe the difference once it comes out of the dryer. The bag is made in China so who knows what the smelly stuff is.

Zips together, comfy and WARM - Review written on September 22, 2007

Loved that it zips together and that the plaid inside does not scream at you like the old style red and green plaid. would recommend it and buy it again.
only con- it is big and bulky and does not fold down very small. could carry it around in a pillow case and it would fill it, to give you an idea of size.
Nice bag but not great - Review written on August 21, 2007

The bag isn't as thick as you may think from looking at the image. Make sure you're sleeping on the beach or have a pad below it.
The way the bag folds up is odd-there's a partial pouch sown into the end of the bag, it doesnt end up fitting the whole bag once you unpack it for the first time, I would much rather the traditional straps at the end of the bag.

This is a cozy sleeping bag. It may be a little bulky, but it's worth it in comfort!

I purchased this sleeping bag for my fiance as a birthday gift ,hes a big guy and so he loves it ,its nice and roomy and is nice and fluffy, pretty big to pack in a backpack though so you backpackers may want to get something that rolls up smaller but for all you big folks out ther looking for a nice big comfy bag this ones for you.

I needed extra bedding for relatives and friends, some of whom would be sleeping on the floor. I didn't need a wilderness style sleeping bag; didn't need the lightweight, weather resistant qualities. I needed softness and warmth for comfort, which the cotton lining provided, and I liked the oversize quality for even more comfort.
This sleeping bag could be great for some kinds of camping as well as indoor use, it just wouldn't be a backpacker's choice because of its weight. It could also be zipped together with a second bag for a lovely double sleeper.
Second time around - Review written on March 08, 2007

This is the second time we have purchased this sleeping bag. We wore out the last one and now the dogs sleep with it. Comfy, warm, and best of all it doesn't slide around. Coleman is always making excellent products and this is no exception . This is a above 20 degree sleeping bag that uses soft but tough cotton as the material, and a good zipper that actually works. As a bonus it makes a good mattress on hot nights. It is big enough that my 240 pound frame will fit comfy inside. Well worth the bucks!!!!

I've owned several sleeping bags and none have been as comfortable as this one. I've never been a fan of those synthetic fabrics. This bag is plenty warm, very comfortable and doesn't slip and slide like synthetics.
Super Warm and Comfy! - Review written on November 09, 2006

We used this sleeping bag camping and it was much warmer than our older one that we use like a comforter. For a 40 degree evening it was absolutely perfect. My husband liked it for its warmth and so did I but I also enjoyed how soft the inside is. We are planning on buying another one to replace our older sleeping bag and then zipping them together for added comfort.
