My Invicta Model 2876 watch, a gift my girlfriend bought for my birthday was EXTREMELY disappointing. The problems, which existed since I received the watch:
1. It lost between 5 minutes and 30 minutes every 24 hours. I had to reset it each morning.
2. The date hand never moved. It was stuck where it was when I opened its box.
3. The "quick-set" button "A" that was supposed to change the date did not function in any way. It was stuck in a pushed-in position when I received the watch in its packaging. I managed to unstick it, but then it didn't make the date hand move, nor did it function in any other way.
I had to pay Invicta $20 to have it fixed.
The card the company sent me to confirm that it had been received left instructions on how to check the status of repairs online that were totally inconsistent with the site itself. I had to figure that out on my own.
The watch took more than 6 weeks for Invicta to fix.
Invicta shipped the watch back to me, and UPS delivered it while I was out of town to someone I don't know in my apartment building. This person, presumably, is still in possession of the watch and has stolen it from me. Granted this isn't Invicta's fault per se, except in so far as they sold my girlfriend a piece of garbage that we had to return in the first place.
So I'm out $20, my girlfriend's out hundreds, and we've got nothing to show for it. We would have had more fun burning dollar bills.
Invicta is a garbage company that has garbage service and sells garbage products. The whole experience has not just turned me off as far as Invicta goes, but has turned me off on the WHOLE IDEA OF OWNING A WATCH in the first place, which I had decided to return to after years of relying on my cell phone to tell time. That's what I'll keep doing.
Good but not Flawless - Review written on July 26, 2007

I am very satisfied with this watch, other than the fact that it sort of appears to be purple in dim light, dates are almost impossible to read, and the clip looks cheap and fragile. However, I believe you can't get anything in higher quality within the same price range. The watch is unexpectedly thick, while that hasn't been a problem for me since I like heavy watches, as opposed to those made of aluminum (aluminum just feels cheap). The case that comes with it looks kind of fruity, but there's nothing wrong with that I guess. At first I thought this watch was like a cheaper version of Citizen, but I don't think they differ in quality by that much, though a similar type of Citizen's model would cost much more. All in all, two thumbs up.
Invicta 2876 Men's Chronograph Silvertone Blue Face - Review written on January 18, 2007

I am usually not one for wearing chronographs - I like my watches simple
and elegant, or simple and playfully colorful, and (oh, I almost forgot...
very, very affordable!). Well, this timepiece just about fills the bill.
It is quite handsome, not overbearing in its display, has an elegance that
matches - and often surpasses that of higher-end chronographs, and is
definately priced right! I especially like the bracelet, which has a mesh-like feel without the mesh. The look is modern-classic, with a wonderful purplish-blue dial and Roman numerals. This watch says "Look at me when you have me on: I'm worth it!" And, you know?...it is!!!
Nice but very thick - Review written on December 26, 2006

Note: Many of today's better watches are thick, but here are my thoughts on this watch.
The watch is beautiful, but looking at the side of it, the watch is VERY thick. I have a self-winding Seko dive watch, and of all my watchs, the self-winding watch is the only one thicker than this watch -- but not much thicker. In my opinion, it is stange that this watch is as thick as a self-winding dive watch. I have always considered the Seko dive watch to be too thick for normal day-to-day wearing, so I guess this watch could be considered too thick for normal use except by those with extra-large wrists. The picture does not show this of course; it really needs a side angle.
Believe me ... it is probably thicker than you expect or want. Look at the specs. The band is a nice 20mm wide, but the case thickness is 11mm. The thickness of the case is over half of the width of the band !!
