Love it!! - Review written on March 10, 2008

Love this product. The only reason I really took this was because I was buying a Circulon set and there was an offer with the set which has this dutch oven free with the set. Who can pass such an offer? I still read the reviews before buying this and liked what I read. I used it yesterday for the first time after 5 months of buying.

And I LOVE IT!! I had a lunch housewarming party at my house and had invited about 15-16 people at my house. I used this dutch oven to cook the main dish which required me to saute 4 big chopped onions till tender and then saute the tomatoes till tender. I thought it would take a long time for that to happen as I had experienced with my other cookware. Not with this. With this, it took about 5-10 minutes till the onions were nice and tender evenly. Same with the tomatoes. I had the same quantity of onion sauteeing in another Circulon pan and it took another 5-8 minutes for that onion to get tender and it was nowhere near the same consistency. Also the onion did not burn or stick to the base of the pan. And everyone at the party was raving about my dish. Even my husband said that out of all the times that I cooked this dish, this was the best tasting (with the same recipe).

It was a pleasure cooking with this. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

I received this pot and was originally disappointed by it's weight. It is light and so I figured that it was probably going to not work very well. In fact it is lightweight but works as well as my heavier Calphalon pans. It is deep and holds quite a bit. I have used it for a variety of dishes and it has worked well on all.

Purchased 2. One received ok and one was damaged. Glass cover was shattered during shipping. Lucky I checked before sending it as gift. Word of caution. Inspect first before gifting.

This is a great piece of cookware! Plus, it was a huge deal from amazon.com. I paid only $25 and the next day it went back to its regular price. Sweet deal! Great for cooking pasta meat sauces and chili.

(have not used them yet)
I purchased three of these to replace my over 20 years old pots I use to cook large quantities of food for smaller meals later.
These replace the 4 pots I had that were over 20 years old. I like the size. They fit the burner perfectly. I can put all on the burners at once and not worry if I am getting too close to burning the other pots' handles.
Nice weight. I like the lids. You can see how the food is cooking.

Lightweight, good-looking and perfect for what I was looking for. Hadn't had a dutch oven in years and remember them as clumsy and heavy. This is a delight to use and is ideal for the soups and stews I bought it for.

The Product Dimensions say 11 x 6 x 11.8 inches. But it is 9 3/4" in diameter and 4" in height. So I was disappointed when it came smaller than 11".
Perfect Dutch Oven for Chili - Review written on December 06, 2007

I'm sure this pan is great for lots of other things, but I basically bought it to make chili, and it's perfect for that. I use about 2 lbs. of meat, a big can of tomato juice, a couple cans of beans, a bag of diced green peppers and a bag of diced onions, generally, plus spices of course. If you are making chili, or anything else for that matter, of roughly that size, this is a great pan. The non-stick works very well so clean up is very quick. I don't remember what I paid, but it was on sale at the time.

I also recently purchased the 4 quart covered Circulon pan for making Hamburger Helper and such, as this Dutch Oven was just too big for that.

I wanted a pot that was shorter than the stockpot I was using. I have a couple of Circulon pieces that I am very happy with. This pot is no exception. I use it for soups and stews. Browns meats and can go straight to the oven. I thought the bottom was a little lite. But this has not hindered it's performance. It is an easy clean up, truly non-stick and easy to maintain. This was a great deal at twenty bucks you can't go wrong. Here's another great deal and excellent addition-Circulon 80486 10.5-Inch/4-Quart Covered Tapered Sauteuse

I needed a dutch oven, since my Member's Mark hard anodized set did not include one, and I make a lot of one pot meals, that would greatly benefit from a nice sized dutch oven. I was inclined to buy the Calphalon dutch oven at a much higher price, but then I saw this one I thought I would give it a try, after all it is very affordable. I ordered it and it came in a timely fashion, and it was beautiful. It is a lot thinner than my Member's Mark set, but it doesn't have any hot spots, and it cleans easily. I am very happy with it, and would recommend it to anybody.

This pot is great for cooking pasta, stew, popcorn, soup, or anything which requires sautéeing, braising, or boiling. The buffet handles are oven-proof, and the elegant lid makes it a lovely addition to a buffet. I'm planning on acquiring a second one of these.

They have a button to report wrong information!

I knew this pot was not from the infinite line of pots with Circuon's name on it. I read all the reviews and all the contradictive information on the page. Anyways, when I received the pot I gave it away but it did look like a good pot, especially for the price. Has their grooved nonstick, aluminum cooking performance, is lightweight, and durable. I think the handles are heat conductive and not the stay cool metal. I also was looking for the infinite's nondrip rims. btw, when I took a look at my invoice a while after I bought it I was wtf! I thought it was 30 when I bought it but they had charged me near 35 for it. Well it is now 10 cheaper then what I thought. Wasted my time gambling on buying this and I'm too sick to complain but I wanted to tell others of what they are buying.

update from 04/20 review
wow I guess they did fix the product description and put up another picture. I also notice they have a button to report wrong information!

I bought this pot to use with a new induction stove, but it will not work as it is NOT Infinite Circulon. The regular Circulon ware is not magnetic.

I bought this circulon oven pan and a set of the anolon pans. There is no comparison between the 2 products. The anolon advance series has a much better quality, thick metal and does not stick. The circulon infinite is very thin and heats up too easily. Buy anolon advance. It is a bit more pricey but through amazon you can put it no your wish list and wait until the price drops! Cannot beat that!

I bought this as a gift and my friend has been raving about it from the first time she used the pot, which was the day she received it and almost everyday since.

She has some physical problems and said that the pot's handles were easy to hold and well designed for lifting and moving the pot especially when it was full. I was told it cooked evenly and was easy to clean.

I am jealous and wish I did not already have a dutch oven or else I would buy one for myself.

We have owned quite a few dutch ovens, and this circulon dutch oven is the absolute best, it's safe, no teflon in it, & it bakes delicious beef roasts, & I baked a lamb roast also, & it was delicious!!!
We want the whole set, & a little at a time, we will!!!
We will not cook or bake in anything but our circulon cookware,
Thank you

Circulon cookware is excellent. It heats quickly and evenly, cleans up easily, and seems to last forever. The key is not to overheat it (never over medium high) and to always hand wash. I cook a lot and am currently writing a cookbook, so I know what I like and what works for me. Circulon works great! This pot is also a wonderful size - not to large, not too small- a great starter piece if you want to try Circulon without making a big investment.

I recieved my dutch oven in a few short days and just love it. The size is perfect for a few ears of corn or a nice pot of soup. The high lid is a plus for cooking especially cabbage that loads high and cooks down. The heat is distributed evenly and this is great for me since my electic stove is getting tired and needs a help!!! I would recomend this great kettle to anyone who has to cook for a family or just for two as I do....and did I mention the clean up us is really easy? That is definately a great point for me.

I thought it was me but every time that I lift the cover on this oven, there is this strange rotting smell. It doesn't seem to matter what has been in there, either. No matter what food...same rotting smell.

In fact, whenever I lift the cover, my wife goes running from the room holding her nose, screaming about how disgusting it is.
