Surprisingly, LEGO and Star Wars go Great Together! - Review written on January 01, 2008
Rating: 4 out of 5
At first glance, LEGO Star Wars may seem like a chilidish game, but it's really enjoyable for all ages. Those who like Star Wars will love this game, and even those who don't probably will. I've only seen two of the movies and only know a little bit about the films, but I am still in love with it!!! Even if I don't know what the heck I'm doing I still have a blast doing it!!! Breaking LEGO stuff is a ton of fun.
One thing that kept this game from five stars was its simplicity. This game is probably the easiest game I've ever played! If you have the time, you can probably beat Episode 1 in an hour, and Star Wars freaks in 45 minutes (without all collectibles). However, to truly "beat" the episodes, you need to fill up each chapter's True Jedi Bar by collecting coins. Don't worry, if you cqan't collect tham all on your first time, you can do Free Play Mode to finish it. Beat each Episode to get Episode 4. The game also gets very repetitive.
An excellent feature that this game has is the drop-in/drop-out co-op mode. Since all the chapters have multiple characters, instead of swapping between characters, you and your friend can play as different characters to beat the chapter together. It really is a unique feature.
LEGO Star Wars is an extremely fun game that anyone can enjoy. I hope they make more LEGO movie games!!!!!!!!!!!
A great game! - Review written on May 28, 2007

This game is tons of fun. Funny clips, nice graphics, great gameplay, and more. Referring to what Dressi K N D said about this game, I, too, love using the Force to make battle droids go flying backwards and break. Whenever a friend of mine says I have to do something I don't want to do, I pretend to use the Force on her to make her fly backwards (but not break).
I almost gave this game a 4 1/2 or so because I like the second one better, but I didn't. This game is still a winner. I don't care if it's geared towards younger audiences. I'm 25, and I still love it.
(If you would like to, read my review of the second one.)

I'm not much of a video game person. And when I do play games, I don't really play the games consistently, except *Silent Hill* and *Resident Evil*. Well, my partner got this *Lego Star Wars* game and I was hooked!
This game was a lot of fun! I found myself playing this game way past my usual bedtime. I'd laugh here and there. Overall, it's a game that it not really complicated at all. A bit of thinking and detective work is required but that's the fun part.
The only complaint is that I felt the game was too short. The game pretty much follows the movie trilogy. I was surprised how fast Episode 1 ended. The next thing I knew, Episode 2 was over as well. Then, I dreaded for Episode 3 to end.
However, I found out that you go back and use Freeplay to finish up the 3 episodes in order to play the 4th episode. Freeplay is even better. Freeplay gives you a selection of characters that you can alternate for better results in the three episodes. This is because only specific characters can execute specific tasks.
Just one little problem...it can be a little redundant with Freeplay. To play the 4th episode, you gotta get "Jedi master" status in each chapters in the 3 episodes. To achieve that status is to rake up the coins. You can only earn up so much per chapters. Sometimes, you may have to do it again just to build up your money, especially if you also want to purchase anything at the "store".
Once you've achieve Jedi mastery and collected all the parts needed for a "kit", Episode 4 is unlocked.
Nonetheless, it was a fun game! This game is bound to entertain anyone. Hey, it's Lego! So, nothing in this game can be deemed too graphic. Lego is too "cute" for that. So, check it out and play! I can't wait to play the next one, *Lego Star Wars: The Original Triology*!
