There are a very few stuff I do not like about the bag, however since the bag saved my life, I really can't complain.
How it saved my life, I'm 21 yea old idiot who decided to make a sharp turn at 50-60 mph. Since at the time I was a new motorcyclist I wiped out high side and it through me 5-10 feet. Luckily I landed on my back and was wearing this bag pack (full of clothes I left at my friend's house over the years, no laptop). Then I slid another 10 feet until I hit a curb. I swear if I was wearing something cheep like Jan Sport, I'm sure I would not be here today. After the accident I was kind of shocked, my backpack was still in usable condition. Only the zipper jammed, and the shock absorber started to lose some thread.
What I like about the bag, it's very roomy it has a lot of compartments. If I wanted to kill my back I can literally carry all text books for 2-3 of my class plus a laptop. It has a shock absorber which I think it's pretty cool (I don't know if it physically works, I think it's just more a mental thing). There is a lot of patting between you and the backpack.
What I really don't like, someone said earlier here, I really don't like that fact it has no padding for the laptop on the top. If you drop your bag and lands on the top you will damage your laptop. For me I only have body damage for the laptop, everything else works. So if the manufactures reads this I wish you guys added more padding on the bottom of the laptop and the top.
Would I buy it again? If I needed a back pak just for everyday use, I would buy it in a heartbeat. However since my laptop is the main reason I bought this bag pack, I'm would look for something that had more padding on the top and bottom.
But as for like impact areas,
Top 2/5
Side 4/5
Front 5/5
Back 5/5
Bottom 3/5
Satisfied with my investment? Yes

My employer purchased this bag for me to use to transport my laptop back and forth to work. The first thing I noticed is that the bag can hold a lot of stuff. There is a padded compartment for laptops with screens up to 15.4", and it works great with my 14" IBM Thinkpad T43 and my personal 15" MacBook Pro. There are small zippered pockets on the inside of the two main compartments, a medium sized zippered pocket on each side on the outside, and a water bottle holder on each side. There is also a compartment on top with an MP3 holder and a hole for the headphone wire, allowing you to listen to music while the MP3 player is in the bag.
I am able to transport my laptop, power cable, mouse, multiple books, some magazines, my iPod and headphones, some notebooks, pens, and paper with room to spare. You could easily carry a laptop, some college textbooks, and notepads in this bag.
The bag is very comfortable with nicely padded shoulder straps and a nicely padded back. The part that rests against your back is made of multiple pieces of foam which are separated by gaps. The gaps allow air to flow across your back, helping to keep you cool. While it doesn't help too much while walking, it is very nice when I am riding my motorcycle.
My only complaint about the bag is the horizontal strap. Most larger backpacks have the strap down low so it rests across your waist and helps distribute the weight better. On this bag, the strap is up high, almost at shoulder level. It can be adjusted up and down a little bit, but not far enough to go below your chest. Usually it ends up almost around your neck. I have tried adjusting the shoulder straps so that the horizontal strap is as low as possible, but I can never get it to be comfortable. Instead, using the horizontal strap always results in the weight being distributed in a less comfortable manner, so I never use it.
This is the best computer backpack I have ever owned, even with the minor complaint.

This backpack is awesome. It just feels solid and Ive had it for over a year, still feels strong. Plenty of pockets and locations for small items, any size calculator, documents, your mp3 player or ipod, pencils & other supplies as well as books. The handles and straps feel comfortable and sturdy as well, dont have to worry about hanging your backpack up somewhere or just be walkin and somethin snaps sending your laptop to the ground. Fits a 15 inch widescreen pretty well compared to other models, in a padded compartment held about an inch or 2 above the bottom of the backpack. Only thing I would complain about is its bulkiness. It really shows when you got a few books in there or you're in a lecture hall, almost needs a seat of its own. Even empty its still bulkier than I'd like, but oh well, worth the tradeoff.
