This 500 chip set it ideal for home games of up to 10 players.

The chip weight is great and quality is good. Some chips have a small nub remaining from the manufacturing process, but if they bother you, they're easy to remove. The edge striping is a nice feature not found in similar discounted sets, but the white chips with blue stripes are easy to mix up with the blue chips with white stripes when they are stacked.

The playing cards that come with the set are not of very high quality and get creased quite easily. I bought new cards after only one night of playing with them.

The overall weight of the set is shocking, which is why shipping charges for comparable sets is typically more than the cost of the set itself. Amazon super saver shipping was the key factor in my decision to get this set over similar sets from other discount poker Web sites.

Best bang for your buck - for less than $40 free ship @ 500 good quality clay chips + nice case: it's ALL IN or fold em' Chips look pretty good, nice weighted feel. Comes complete set as described and pictured.

I bought a different poker chip set at a discount store 2 years ago for about $45 and it was horrible, fake light weight chips made of plastic and was incomplete.

This is a very nice set of chips for the price. I got it on gold box for $29.95 and free shipping, and it arrived in 3 days. One of the nice things about this set is that you get more low-denomination chips ($1 and $5) than higher denominations, unlike other 500-chip sets that give you equal amounts of 5 colors. With this set you can have a T100 tournament with 10 players no problem (15 whites, 11 reds, 3 blue). There are not enough high-denomination chips to have a T1000 tournament, unless you want to reassign colors. Another nice thing about this set is the case, which has 3 latches compared to just 1 or 2 on similar chip sets.

The worst part about this set is the cards that are included, they are crap, which is why I'm giving this product a 4-star rating instead of 5. But that's not a reason not to buy this chip set, just do yourself a favor and order some good bicycle cards to go with it.

Okay where do I start. I was a little daunted when I read reviews on the Poker Case arriving damaged or dilapidated. Even with Super Saver Shipping, the product arrived in 4 days, (Including non buisness days). I opened the case and it was amazing. The case was unsullied, there was no damage to it whatsoever. The case was so great looking, it looked like it was packed to the top with $100 bills. The cards and chips were quite exceptional for the price. Chips were 11.5 grams and felt like real clay.
I was so impressed with this set of chips. It was the exemplar of poker sets, the model to be imitated by other companies. It was too good to be true...Oh Wait! It is. One day after i recieved this item, i picked it up and the handle snaped off.
I might submit it for a replacement, but I am going to attempt to repair it first.

For 40 bucks and free shipping who can complain. I would have paid the shipping for this set!!! 500 chips with great sound and feel. Very nice looking dealer button too! No one can even complain about the small size of the big and small blind and cards with this price and quality chips you are getting. If you do then go ahead and spend way more for poker chips! The case is even strong. No lock but again there poker chips!

like some of the other posts, i too received a defective case. the problem i think is the case comes in a tightly fitted box from the manufacturer, but is shipped in an Amazon box which is much larger in size. there were a couple of airpads to help cushion the inner box from moving around, but this is HEAVY so i am sure it slammed around inside the outer box which in turn broke the inside of the case. anyway, i emailed the manufacturer, received a response in 24 hrs, and they shipped a brand new case directly to me at no cost. the replacement was perfect. i am happy now. the quality on this set is not great, but for occasional use with friends you will be VERY happy.

great set for the price. case is nice. chips are good. some tabs are visible from the manufacturing mold and the chips do not have quite the feel of top of the line chips. but to get better chips, it will cost 3 - 4x what this set costs. delivery was fast.

I wanted to get real clay chips but most sellers do not ship to APO address or shipping cost was very expensive. So, I decided to get this from Amazon w/ free shipping. Overall rating was great so I thought it would be the right choice. I don't really understand how this item was rated as 4 ½ stars. Poor quality chips and decks, dusty. It is very light and made of chip plastic. Some people might say "what do you expect for $36?" but I just want to let you know this is not the one you need if you are looking for casino quality poker chips.

Got the case within a week of ordering the set from pokergoods. The chips were good except the case was messed up on the right corner. I emailed Poker Goods customer service and they sent me a reply the same night saying they would send me a new case free of charge.

I got this item off amazon with free shipping. Was afraid about some of the comments about scratched and broken case. However, mine was just one tiny dent probably from UPS which is unnoticeable. The only reason why this deserve a 4/5 is because the inside of the case is a little ripped but that is not a problem for me. Overall, okay quality chips for the price and not missing any pieces. I think this is a GREAT buy and if i need another poker set as a gift or something, i would definitely buy this one again.

i got it on time, but the case is broken. it is ok for me, coz i did not expect much for only 35 bucks.

I couldn't be more pleased...I ordered this for my husband's 50th birthday party where we had a Texas Hold 'em tournament. The chips were of decent quality and the shipping took no time - even from Wisconsin to California.

I was concerned by some reviews that mentioned that they didn't get enough colors, but I received the right ones... and, btw, the case is very nice and tasteful, and considering the price, it was a great buy!

The set I received matched the picture but not the description. The two differences were:

(1) The case is not lockable. That is OK with me; I don't plan to lock it and didn't want the hassle of keeping track of the keys. Also, the case has three latches instead of the two on a lot of other sets. The extra latch provides additional protection against accidental opening.

(2) The chip color distribution is:
150 white
150 red
100 blue
50 green
50 black

I prefer this color distribution because I am accustomed to the following values for each color:
white - 1
red - 5
blue - 10
green - 25
black - 100
and it's usually a good idea to have more chips for the smaller denominations than for the larger ones. However, since the chips do not have denominations on them, they can be used for any denominations desired.

These are not true casino-grade chips (and they cost a lot less than casino-grade chips). But they're great for home games. I bought them on sale for less than $35 (less than $.07/chip) which is a really good price. You'd have a hard time finding lightweight plastic chips for that price and these are much the better 39mm 11.5g chips. The price was even better because Amazon had a temporary deal making this eligible for FREE Super Saver shipping so I didn't have to pay shipping charges.

Many of the chips had very slight casting burrs. These were not easily visible and only barely noticeable to the touch -- I had to look for them. I don't consider this a defect at this price and they may wear off during use, but I wanted to mention it to be thorough. Also, two of the chips had defects in the colors but 2 out of 500 is pretty good quality control for this price.

As described, the set included 2 decks of cards and 3 buttons (dealer, small blind, and big blind). The case also included a space for dice (the dice weren't mentioned in the listing and weren't included in the set). I only mention that in case you want to add poker dice (also available from Amazon): there's room in the case for them.

Other reviews complain about shipping damage. My set arrived quickly (less than a week with FREE Super Saver shipping) and in perfect condition.

When I first got this set, there was a large crack on the side of the aluminum case. Luckily since it was a manufacturer's defect, I was able to replace the set for free. Amazon paid for the shipping and immediately sent me a new one, which was much better. In the second set, the case was fine, and the chips stacked well and were a good weight. My only problem with the set is that when you look up close, you can see defects in the coloring/painting of the chips.

Overall for the price, the set is worth it.

The item, which is supposed to be a gift, arrived with major dents all over the case and broken pieces of the case on the inside. Now I am stuck giving my boyfriend this janky cheap looking gift for Valentine's day. I don't have the time nor do I feel I should have to expend the energy to pack this back up (spend $ on another gift in the meantime) and return it. If you read some other reviews, someone else mentions this same problem. Don't place your hopes on this one, it's not worth the purchase from this vendor. Sorry.

Poker chips were solid in weight & feel. My only gripe was the aluminum case was dented during shipping. Other than that defect, a good product for the price.

I bought this set for my father for Christmas, and I was a little worried that it would not have the big blind and little blind chips, but it did and it is PERFECT! I think it's very high quality, it has heavy chips and a heavy case, and exactly what I/he wanted! I was so pleased with my purchase! I got it from Fogdog, I received it in less than a week.
