This battery delivers what it promises. On top of that, it saved my camera: I accidentally left my camera bag open. When the camera spilled out, the sheer weight of the over-sized battery caused it to hit the ground first, taking the brunt of the impact. The corner of the battery now has a dent and the case is cracked (which I glued). Otherwise, not a scratch on the camera and the battery still works. I am grateful.

Rarely have I been so completely satisfied as I am with this battery.

I bought it for a Panasonic PV GS 320 camcorder.

Actually I bought 4 of these batteries since I am preparing for a very important trip where I will need to shoot several hours every day.

For the price of one OEM battery (actually less) I got 4 batteries.

After charging them and using them for a while I realized that these are so good that I actually bought too many.

They charge for about 5 hours and then I went through an entire day of shooting (on and off) filling one 60 minutes cassette end-to-end and at the end of the day only one bar was gone from the charge display of the camcorder.

Amazing value for your money.

Got this product for our new Panasonic GS320V, after reading reviews of several products, chose this one based upon the price and mili amp rating.

As someone else has noted, this is a thick battery and it tends to stick out of the camera.

The big draw back is that even after a full charge (the charger light goes off once the battery is charged) it holds up less than the original panasonic battery does - which is more than half the size of this.

Most of our recordings were done at Disney/Universal/SeaWorld shows. These shows typically last between 15 - 25 minutes. Also, a good indicator was the miniDV tape - which I recorded at SP mode - 60 minutes.

Almost all the time, I ended up using the viewfinder and not the LCD screen to save the battery life. I was not using any external light and the zoom was set to wide angle - most of the time. I did minimal close up shots. The reason I am explaining this is to show that I did very minimal stuff to prolong the use of the battery.

Anyway, now, this battery did NOT even last for 90 minutes at most!

The original OEM battery that came with the camera lasted between 150 minutes to about 180 minutes!

I would have expected that considering the size of this battery, this would at least last twice as long as the original one. But it only lasted about half or 3/4ths of the original one.

As someone has said, you get what you pay for!

For anyone who is into long shooting, I would strongly suggest buying original ones OR if you buying aftermarket ones, buy more than 2 or 3. Dont forget to buy additional chargers too!

If I used this in the morning and shot all day, I remember charging this that night. With the OEM one, I did NOT charge it again until a day and a half had passed of using it.

I did ask Amazon for a refund on this. I am yet to mail it back.

This is a long review... but if it helps even a single person to make the right choice, its well worth it. Thanks for reading this.

Quick and painless. I had it for 6 months and it works and last 2-3 times longer than the one that came with the Panasonic video camera. All that at a fraction of the OEM price. Buy it!

I thing is very good choice for the price. I recommend to everyone. Much longer life then standard battery for PV-GS500 and can use more then 4h. I have two of them.
I'm very happy with it.

First off, this is not a Digital Concepts battery, but rather a knock-off. The battery was charged using the charger for my SDR-H18 and never worked a single time! Buyer beware!

I have a GS-83, and it fits, it works, I can still use the viewfinder, and it is great having a spare battery.

The price for this is excellent if you compare with e-bay.

This battery ended up being the wrong one but the return process has been painless. Deals Direct has been very helpful and easy to deal with.

CGA-DU21 works as advertised, Charges pretty quicky using the Panasonic Charger that came along with PV-GS80 Camcorder.

PROS:
(+) Cheap when compared to Panasonic's original battery
(+) Greatly improves the Battery life when compared to included battery with the panasonic camcorders
(+) 2200mAH capacity extends battery life considerably.

CONS:
(-) Slightly big, Depending on the camcorder model, you may find the color not matching the camcorder's body color.

I have yet to encounter a situation wherein using this battery on a PV-GS80 have disappointed me to see my battery being drained out dead.

Some sellers (Deals Direct) sell it as a no-brand (literally) battery. Ordered one - DOA. They replaced it with another one - broken connector. Seems they sell the batteries that did not pass Chineese Quality Control. Thanks to Amazon I got my money back.

I use this battery in a Panasonic VDR-D210 camcorder. It works fine and costs about 1/6 the price of name brands. Much improved capacity over the included Panasonic battery. The viewfinder is still useable, since it extends out far enough to just barely clear the battery. One minor item is that the plastic housing is slightly different from the stock battery, making it a little more difficult to clip into and out of the camcorder and the charger. Close tolerance, but it fits.

A must have accessory for the Panasonic camera. Used this for 2 hours in New York and dind't even see it go past the first bar. Seems to have good stamina compared to the one that ships with the camera.

Ordered this battery that is advertised as a "Sakar" brand battery having excellent ratings (4.5 stars). Ordered from Amazon Marketplace seller "Deals Direct" for lowest price. "Deals Direct" turned out to be dishonest seller who substituted a no-name Chinese battery for the Sakar name brand that was advertised. The no-name battery looks similar, but does not fit well in my Panasonic camcorder battery charger and although will charge, does not make a good enough fit to contact my camcorder terminals and run the camcorder. This purchase has turned out to be a total waste of money for me. "Deals Direct" should be banned from Amazon marketplace.

Sorry I had to give a 4 star rating to the Sakar product, but I was not sent a genuine Sakar so I can not rate the product. I gave a rating so as not to detract from Sakar battery rating.

Fully charged battery overnight, installed it on my PV-GS320, and...NOTHING.

It does not work. Total waste of money.

I bought this battery for my PV-GS320 camcorder. I was little worried about the 7.4 volt specification of this battery compared to the 7.2 volt of the original panasonic battery came with the camcorder. But this one works well with my camcorder. A great value for $20 when comparing the price/performance with the original panasonic battery costing $75.

The battery is an excellent one. Good recharge time and long lasting under usual conditions. I'd buy it again if I needed to. The only down side is when using the eye-piece viewer (as opposed to the fold out flat screen), the battery protrudes out farther than the viewer, which makes getting your eye up against the viewer rather challenging.

Initial impressions are that the battery functions as described by other positive reviewers. Even though it is a bit larger than the OEM battery, I was still able to use the camera's view finder on my Panasonic PV-180. The price is right.

This battery does stick out more than the stock battery and does stop you from using the viewfinder but come on, who would use a stationary viewfinder instead of a moveable, color 2.7 inch lcd screen. This battery more than doubles the operating time of the stock battery and is well worth the small viewfinder sacrifice. I am glad I bought two and never run out of power!

I have purcahsed a few off brand batteries for cameras and camcorders in the past. I was hesitant as the last two I purchased did not work(not from this seller). I think Sony has something going that makes off brand batteries incompatible with their products.This one, for a Panasonic, works very well so far, was just what I needed.

I've recived my battery and Its capacity is 2700 mAh, better than the selles offers, great detail, I'm charging the battery.
The body of the battery is big and don't let uses the viewfinder of the camera, but this isn't a problem for me, because I always use the screen.

I used this battery in cool conditions and It does not work well because low temperatures dicrases the battery perfomance, near South pole.

At first, i was a little nervous. Some reviews mention that the manufacturing is inferior to the Panasonic batteries. Fine, it doesn't have the rounded corners and it's plain black. Big deal, it's much cheaper and it does what it's supposed to do. I bought it hoping it'd provide enough power to last through a trip to Macchu Picchu, it did. Very dependable. It provided hours of footage. We switched the camera on and off a thousand times, and it still kept going.

I purchased this battery and used it with my Panasonic SDR-H18 Camcorder and had no problems with it or its performance. I would recommend it as an additonal battery to a camcorder system.

This battery works flawlessly in my Panasonic sdr-h18 camcorder and fully charges on the camcorders charger in about 3-4 hours. Excellent quality and bonus points to amazon for free shippment that arrived 3 days earlier than expected. I am very pleased with both.

I recommend to everybody.Looks like heavy and big but you can use more than 3.5 hours.Same time heavy side helps you to stabilize the camera so your hand won't vibrate.

I bought this one for my Panasonic GS180 and it really works great! Really long battery times, haven't recharged it yet so I can't tell you about how long it lasted but so far 2,5 hours and it is on about half.

The only complain I have is that it is kind of huge so on my camcorder I can't use the viewfinder anymore as it is sticking out to much. But well, I knew that before and I am not a viewfinder user anyway.

I own a Panasonic GS500 (NTSC), I ordered a couple of these batteries from Digital Concepts and they work exactly as advertised. Running time is great, they work just fine with the original charger and are quite worth the $$

Much longer life than the standard battery on my PV-GS250. Build quality isn't as good as the Panasonic brand, but it works and that is the most important part.

Works well with my DV-GS400. This battery lasts about 50% longer than the original battery that shipped with the camcorder. Always good to have a backup in your camera bag.

What I assumed I was buying was a longer life battery, as advertised. What I got was a large battery lasts no longer than the smaller, standard battery that came with my camcorder. I totally discharged and recharged the it several times, but the results were the same. From that standpoint, it's not worth the purchase.I'd prefer standard life performance in a less bulky package.

You buy it because you need it, not because it compliments the color of the camera... It wouldn't matter if it was purple with green polka-dots - The dark grey on a lighter grey camera is irrelevant to me.

I got it, charged it overnight and put it on the camera where I took over 100 still photos and video taped some 45 minutes of continuous footage - all on the same charge.

The battery works great, exactly as advertised. The color is a little different from the body color of the panasonic GV150, but functionality is flawless.

I use it was my Panasonic PVGS 150. It works perfectly, charges fairly quickly and lasts as expected. The constrction is not as solid & Look is not as good as the panasonic battery,if it matters.I bought it for 23.74 at amazon.
