The Dewalt company was superb when the charger "melted" the new battery. They promptly replaced both items without cost.

Performed just as advertised,excellent power output and long lasting in between charges,would definately purchase another for back up.

I bought a couple to replace older ones I had. This battery is expensive for what it is. I've had no problems with them.

the ordering process was good, the price was good, and the shipping was prompt. battery was like the one i have so i am happy..

Had the battery for about 10 months and probably had to charge it about 5 or 6 times. It held the charge pretty well and so far so good.

These XRP replacements are a bit heavier than the original batteries. But WOW, do they pack a punch. I have 12V, 14V & 18V units and in all cases these XRP's make the drivers function like never before when new. product is great. just as advertised. about 40% more life between charges and it does have a little more power than the older original battries. 50.00 bucks is about the cheapest you're going to find it. so just buy it.

As I use the lighter weight 12 volt DeWALT drill for electrical work, I've found XRP 12-Volt battery an awesome power pack for my drill & 12 volt work light. It truly does keep going and going. (Oops, wrong vendor)! Having three batteries for two devices obviously allows having one on charge to keep your work flow uninterrupted.

Highly recommended for those with 12 volt power tools.

It's been a couple of months since I've purchased these and they are holding up fine. Good power and long lasting. I use them in a commercial setting and typically I have to change them every year anyway. This latest version of the 12 volt battery looks like it has screws holding it shut so it may be easier to refirbish them at the end of their life.

The new Nickel Cadmium Batteries work better and last longer than the original Dewalt 12-Volt Batteries I received with my Drill/Screw Gun 12 years ago. Hopefully the charge will hold up longer over time too. Thank you Amazon for the great price too!

Got the Dewalt battery in a timely manner, I've had the battery about a month and so far I'm very pleased. The XRP batteries seem much more powerful and they hold their charges longer.

I purchased this battery as a replacement for one of the oriignalbattery packsthat came with my drill. I am very satisfied with the increased life between charges.

Better than original DW9071 XR and DW9072.
Was not happy with drill until I got these batterys.
Now the drill works like I thought it should have in the begining.

The battery matched the original; it fit my drill and charger. Price was much better than at the building supplies. Shipping was timely, I was very satisfied.

When I first purchased these batterys (2) I thought they were great. They had more power then the ones that came with the drill and recharged in half the time. I use them at work for drilling into drywall and some screwing of #8 1 1/2 inch screws. After about 9 months of use they no longer will hold a good charge. I have always run them down completely before recharging them and have not abused them. They now only last about one hour before needing a recharge and if not used they go dead in about two weeks.

This was a no-brainer, great price and fast shipping on a great product.

I was having a hard time finding these batteries. You had them at a great price.

This battery does not list for $94.00, as Amazon claims. Home Depot and others sell it for $60.

I have used this battery for over a month now. My drill is only 3 years old and the two batteries that came with it never had this much power and lenght of use between charges. I am very pleased.

Purchased my first to replace the originals provided with the 12v XRP 1/2 drill/driver. This battery is better constructed and delivers good power for a long time.The original batteries lasted about a year and a half. The jury is no longer out on this unit. I just purchased my second unit. If you use your tools everyday - buy it - you'll like it. For someone who does not use their tools everyday it may be more cost effective to buy the DW-1214's at $28.00 per. So far the 12v XRP drill/drivers have remained unchanged so your batteries will still have value when your drill wears out.

This is the first serviceable battery I have seen from Dewalt; it is screwed together rather than glued. The packaging states that the battery has a 2 year, free service guarantee, which implies that the internal batteries can be replaced within 2 years for only the cost of parts. The packaging states that there is a 3 year limited guarantee on this unit, however there is no documentation that explains what the "limited" guarantee covers.

These 12v batteries can fit in and operate my 14.2v xrp driver - a good thing to know in a pinch.

What kept me from giving the unit 5 stars is the price. They are still rather expensive.

The replacement takes longer to charge up but it also lasts longer and has more power than the original batteries that came with my Dewalt 12 volt driver/drill. I am totally pleased with it.
