These rechargeable batteries don't last very long. After just a few snaps of the camera, even fresh from the recharger, these batteries are too weak to work.

I found the charger to have positives and negatives others wrote about it. However, even though I might have to recharge sooner, I just love the fast turn around time that it takes to put me back into action. Also, I like the (4)led feature, which to me, is great because they indicate the condition of each battery so you know when they are all at the same level of charge and ready to be removed.

I generally like this product and have had good luck with it. But I have a question--I've lost the instructions. On the status lights while charging, I assume that red means charging and off means charged. What does blinking mean? I hope it means a trickle charge, and not a battery gone bad :-)

I start using these rechargables few weeks ago,as an active musician I use a lot of equipment that need batteries,so far I use rechargeables for practice in my studio but for a gig it doesn`t look a good idea ,so I decided to use regular type of alkalines when I play for gigs, these batteries are not reliable. They don't hold a charge - Review written on July 16, 2007

I bought this and 8 extra of these AA batteries. I take a lot of photographs and didn't want to have my flash run out.

Three times I have tried to use these batteries and all three times one or more of them were dead. The time between charging and use ranged from a few weeks to a few months. So they don't hold a charge.

I have never tried just using them right after charging. Usually I come home after trying to use them, recharge them all and put them back in the camera bag until next time. No more of this, I missed some important pictures a few days ago.

I will stick to regular alkaline batteries and maybe if I decide to ever try them again, I will charge before I go out and see if they work then.

I've had this charger for about 3 years now, I bought it long ago from Wal-Mart back before the only chargers they sold were cheap slow and unreliable (my sister has the one they sell there now).

What most people don't consider when buying a charger is how you have to plug it in; with most of them you have to go and find an open plug and just use that until they are done... not this one. With the long cord they give you with the Duracell Charger, I have it plugged in under my desk, while the charger itself sits nice and neat on top like it belongs there. It just makes it a thousand more times convenient. I just pop the dead batteries in and go.

The auto shut off factor is also VERY nice, I'll wander off and forget I had them in the charger but I don't have to worry because it's got me covered. Then there are those times I want my batteries when I'm running off to go somewhere and I want batteries for my camera or mp3 player, and that sucker charges them FAST. The only time I've ever seen it take 30 min was when the battery was completely and totally dead, otherwise, it only takes 5-10 minutes tops.

I guess the only negative comment I have about this product is that it is a bit bulky for traveling. Though all around, I highly recommend it.

This system charges fast: 30 minutes. The batteries do not last as long as I would have hoped (could be because they are 2050mAh instead of the usual 2500 mAh).

Ive had this charger for a year now. Ive been slowly converting over to all rechargeable batteries in my house (i have kids, lots of toys). Anyway, this thing is great, chargers AA and AAA batteries quickly. The charger is built well with no real moving parts, save the cooling fan. I just bought a bigger energizer charger for my D, C and 9V and I hate it. Im taking it back.

Duracell has been so wonderfull for the last 5 months .
I use it quite frequently and itz amazing.
It hardly takes 30 min for an entire recharge and that too at a gr8 price.
Only probz with this iz, it makes a revolving sound on recharge which is quite acceptable with its performance.
LEDs function as per the manual and i cud easily master using it without any help.
If u r lookng for a wonderful charger in economic price plz go ahead and pick this

I love this charger and use mine all the time! To switch from AA to AAA you just turn a little switch on the side. The Duracell batteries it comes with are excellent! I use my batteries in my digital camera and they last a long time! I've been using them for over a year now with no problems at all and I take a lot of pictures! It charges extremely fast, probably the fastest charger I've come accross. This product is diffenetly worth the money and has payed for itself a hundred times over in the money it has saved me on batteries.

Good product to have if you have game boy, PSP, and games that required AA or AAA batteries. Nice feature is that after it charges the battery, a fan will continue to run to cool the battery if you forget to unplug the charger.

This is a very good product. The batteries seem to be fully charged and last a lot longer than regular batteries plus I have a spare set always charged. I use them for my digital camera. The fan on the charger is quiet but I recommend that while it is plugged in and charging that the unit be placed on a hard surface to facilitate good air flow.

A Must Have Accessory for your Digital Camera - Review written on November 02, 2006

Though my digital camera came with a couple of rechargeable batteries and a recharging unit, it never really seemed to work very well. The batteries never really seemed to take a charge - they would stay "charging" forever. When I finally broke down and insisted on using them, I'd get a couple of pix and they'd be dead. I was resigned to going to ordinary lead cell batteries until a friend recommended the Duracell 30 Minute Charger.

What a difference. The charging time is fact and the batteries stay good for hundreds of shots. Though the four batteries that come with it are usually sufficient, I recommended buying a couple of additional batteries to always have a few spares. Now that my kids have discovered my recharger, they've started putting them into their MP3 players, video games, etc. So far, they've worked well, recharge swiftly, and I saving money.

Highly recommended for anyone who buys batteries (and who doesn't?)

This is a great item, which recharges batteries in a hurry. The more you use batteries, the more money you can save using this device. In our case, we will undoubtedly save more than $100 a year on batteries. And just think of all those batteries that don't have to be dumped or recycled. A great idea.

Great quick charger, but only quick charges Duracell Rechargeable Batteries and my digital camera came with Cannon Batteries. Would be a perfect product if it charged other branded NiMH Rechargeable Batteries.

Pros: 30 mins charge time, rechargeable, charges all type of NiMH batteries
Cons: Older model, newer batteries are now 2500maH, this one is 2050. ( Thats a 25% increase )

First I am dissapointed amazon.com or who ever put the discription up almost tried to hide the fact these are 2050mah rated batteries. The new Durcell charges available at stores are 2500mah and the charger is 15min. I just wish amazon had the new brand. ( I was unaware of this when I ordered )

Also, I cut myself trying to open the package. I even used scissors. (Thats pathetic)

All in All, they work, if I received these batteries a year ago, i would have given it a 4 or 4.5 star.

Mixed reviews: Very fast, but construction a little flimsy - Review written on April 17, 2006

This product performs to expectations. I like that it can be used with AA and AAA batteries; and the speed with which it recharges the batteries is excellent.

The construction is very lightweight. On the one hand, this is an advantage if you need to take it on the road. On the other hand, it is so lightweight that if feels a little flimsy. It probably couldn't handle being dropped multiple times.

And while it's great that the product can be expanded to fit batteries of different sizes, the mechanism used to switch between the two sizes is a very basic mechanical sliding device that could probably get worn quickly. The construction of the slider doesn't seem like it would be adequate for customers who would need to recharge AA and AAA batteries on a frequent and consistent basis.

But overall, it's a good product for the price (since it also includes 4 NiMH batteries).

So far, the charger has worked as claimed even with the 2500 ah rechargable batteries. I have since found the 15 minute Duracell charger at Walmart for just one dollar more than I paid for this one, but it may turn out to be a dud like Rayovac's 15 minute charger. I say "a dud" because I called Rayovac and they said they are no longer making this charger and batteries for it. The Rayovac worked as claimed but if you cannot buy batteries for it,what good is it?

This 30 min charger is great for recharging 4 AA batteries in a short period of time and it also charges AAA too. I have found that the batteries don't carry a full charge quite as long as regular battries. I was under the impression that NiMH battries tend to have a bit longer lasting charge than the old type of rechargeables. These battries don't die quickly but just register weak much longer than regular battries. Maybe thats the pay off???

I've only had this charger and the batteries a month and half but so far I'm very happy with them. The charger took a little longer than 30 min to charge, but that might be because I charged 4 AA batteries rather than 2 batteries (It can also charge AAA batteries). I use these batteries for my wireless keyboard and my mouse and there's no sign that I need to charge them again any time soon.

The batteries are rated at 2050 mAh though, which is ok, but nothing spectacular. Of course, it should be noted that fast chargers are not as good as trickle chargers (>12 hr charge) at maintaining the battery (repeated charging results in an inevitable decrease in max charge).
