Excellent knives, I bought 2 sets, they resist very well ti being washed in the dishwasher, I am thinking of buying another set. I would recommend it to anyone.

It may be Henckels, but they are cheap and they rust. Save up for a couple of higher end Henckels that will last. And don't put them in the dishwasher!

A relatively inexpensive steak knife set that can be cleaned in the electric dishwasher. Knives are sufficiently sharp for easy cutting of steaks, chops, raw fruits, and hard cheeses. I have had the knives for a month and am very pleased with the purchase. The product was promptly shipped to me and meets all my expectations.

The knives came very quick and had no problems other than the other half of the order was cancelled and no bothered to tell me.

The knives are ok. No better or worse. Fine for the average slice of meat, but somewhat flimsy which makes it difficult to cut a raw potato in half.

My dad always bought Henckel knives as he loved to cook. My Mother recently gave me the set of knives he treasured since he has passed on, and she no longer cooks as she had a stroke and now lives with me. I wanted to add to my dad's great collection with these steak knives, and I must say I was not disappointed! These knives are incredibly sharp, and their handles are easy on the hands. They are small enough, they are not bulky, and they have a precision cut. I simply love these knives and they are a welcome addition to my dad's treasured collection. As long as my dad has had these knives, they remain "like new" and sharp as ever. They are easy to sharpen when they dull ever so slightly! If you take care of these knives, they will last you for the rest of your life, and could be passed on and on. These are just exceptional knives and I am very happy with my purchase.

No they aren't the same quality as those steak knives that cost $24 each, but for the price they are wonderful. I didn't want to spend a fortune on steak knives because my family abuses them. That's right, we open the mail, slice through cardboard and cut through those impossible nylon bindings. The we wash them and set the table with them too! So when I saw these I snapped them up, hoping they would last a year or two. They're wonderful! Perfectly fine for table wear and do a nice job. They are worth every bit of their price.

Perfect for every-day use, and come out of the dishwasher with no spots or stains. Nice weight, comfortable handles. Set of 8 is a great value.

I have a set of $350 steak knives so I know what the reviewers are speaking of when they say these aren't real Henckels. That being said, THEY ARE ONLY $30. It is quite bold to pay $30 for a set of knives and then give a one star review saying that they are cheap. What did you expect?!? You bought $30 knives but reviewed as if you spent over $100. That's just seems dishonest.

You won't go wrong buying these knives. You can use them for everyday and toss them in the dishwasher and in a pinch you can disobey the cardinal rule and use one of them to open an Amazon Box because hey, they were only $30!!

I worked for years in a company in New York City that imported the highest quality knives. Among them were these. Working there inspired me to spend a fortune on amazing quality high carbon knives. However, I love these for my everyday. They are sharp (even after 5 years) and cut through everything. As a stay at home mom I cut up everything to small bites. These are sinfully easy to use, wash and safe too. I do not want to handle those razor sharp knives I own all the time especially when sleep deprived with small children. I filet cutlets, slice onions thinly with ease and harder veggies as well. Let's not forget these are especially great cutting steak!!

These knives are really good, very sharp and sturdy. They've been washed plenty of times in the dishwasher and have not lost their finish or sharpness. One minus is the size of the handles, a little too small to feel like a real steak knife. Other than that they are a pretty good set.

I got mine for like 15 bucks at the store..so this isnt a great deal. As for the performance, these knives are horrible. Very fine serrations cause the meat fiber to gum up the blade. Even if you arent "cutting" something as gummy as meat fiber, you still feel like you are ripping through the food rather then cutting it. Overall, Id say stay away. Im getting rid of mine

I just used my new steak knives for the first time today and found them to be well-sized for my grip and to cut through the dinner meat easily. Good job!

We avoid items that cannot be thrown in the dishwasher -- these hold up well and stay sharp. Our old knives started breaking at the handle, not a problem here. Great quality for the price.

Great steak knives for the price! I've owned them about a month and have been very pleased! Trust me, I'm hard to please! Yes, you can buy better, I'm sure, but for everyday use, they are great!

I have several Henckels Eversharp steak knives that are several years old and they continue to cut well and have survived many dishwasher cycles. I just added six more that I recently purchased from Amazon and expect similar performance from these. I also own a set of Henckels Four Star knives that are over 20 years old. They do not go into the dishwasher but need regular sharpening/honing. The steak knives are not in the same league as the Four Star line but they are very convenient (just toss in the dishwasher), relatively inexpensive, perform well and are fairly durable.

My recommendation is to go with these knives if you are looking for a set of steak knives to be used on a daily basis.

GERMAN QUALITY NOT! The handle is too small. I am no rocket scientist so they will work. You get what you pay for. These are not a special deal by no means.

I bought a set of four of these from Target for $19.99. I LOVE them. Now that I found them here at Amazon for a better price I am ordering this set of eight so I will then have a set of twelve. I am throwing out all of my other steak knives, these are the best!!!!

these are good quality knives - very sharp saw blades and they cut through the toughest steak! we've had another set for years and this set was for a friend.

We haven't used our steak knives very much yet (how often can you afford to eat fillet mignon at $16.99/lb.?), but they are sharp, nice looking, have a good feel and are exactly what we were looking for.

We use them everyday. They stay sharp and work great. I wish the handles were a little larger, but my wife like the size.

This is a very nice knife set. The handles fit well in the hand. The edges stay nicely sharp. Only wish it came with a useful case; maybe a wooden storage block. Best part is: the price on these was REALLY good.

Just received and put these knives into use one week ago...very pleased. I was concerned about the feel/weight of these knives when I placed the order; they fit the hand just fine...the weight is comfortable...an excellent cut--great value. These knives have my recommendation.

These knives don't have an edge. They have serrations. They are more suited to cutting rope than a steak.

My husband was unable to find the crystal figurine he wanted to give me for Valentine's Day, so he asked me what I wanted. I said eight steak knives. He gave me this set, and I am so pleased. We had a dinner party over the weekend. We served Omaha steaks, and the knives cut with ease. Sure, you could spend more if you had a mind to do so, but why? These are great!

Excellent set of knives. I have had the entire set of the knives for years and wanted more steak knives to add to my set. They wil probably last forever.

When I bought these, I was expecting big-ole BLACK ANGUS type knives. You know, the big steak knives you get at steak houses? These are not those knives. In fact, my butter knives are bigger than these puppies. However, they work.

My new Henckel steak knives are so wonderfully sharp and I nearly sliced my cutting board in two!

Being a Henckels knife owner previously I knew the quality of their product but like all high-end knives I also knew the range in quality can be from high end to mediocre. I was surprised when I received a relatively inexpensive steak knife set with such high end quality. Although light, the knives perform exceedingly well, allowing even the toughest hunk of sirloin to be carved through easily. Well worth the price.

These knives met all my expectations. I did not want to break the bank for a set of everyday knives. I did not want knives I had to sharpen. These are not the big steak knives, which I find clumsy. They do fine in the dishwasher (I'm not sure what the manufacturer advises -- but they have already been through about 50 washings with no sign of degradation). And they are sharp -- do not test their sharpness when you get them by touching your finger to them -- you may cut it like I did.

Great set of knives, real sharp, good feel and reasonably priced. Henckels can't be beat in the knife business.

I was excited to see this knife set, after we purchased the J.A. Henckels Couteau Series 10-piece Forged Knife Set (from Costco), and there were no steak knives in the set. When they came, I was very disappointed. the knives are flimsy - they don't cut meat, they shred it. The knives themselves are so lightweight, they feel very unsecure when you hold them.

It's time to remember, you get what you pay for - don't be fooled into thinking this is a good deal - put out the extra money and get a real set.
