These were wonderful pots and pans. Not very expensive, and so far the nonstick lining has not worn out.

Just be glad you didn't buy a Calphalon One Nonstick pan from Williams-Sonoma for full price $140 and then like an idiot, use spray on it which is the reason for the damage to the nonstick. I wish I would've known that before I used it on the nonstick, but it's true....the chemicals in the nonstick sprays damage the nonstick coating of the pan and it is no longer safe to use the pan because it is unhealthy after it's damaged, you have to throw it away and get another one. This Cuisinart nonstick is just as safe and functional as the super expensive pieces by all clad and calphalon, and if you educate yourself to take care of them properly, will last years and years if not for the rest of your life which is a good deal!

I thought that the price was worth taking a risk on, but I seriously wondered how they would survive (fabulously), whether they would be as nice in person as the photo (better) and whether I would like them (can't say enough about them). I mean, we're talking about $100. That's less than ONE piece in a ton of other sets. I use them daily and they are stellar.

I have only had this product for about a month now, so far everything is great so I gave it 5 stars. The non-stick is super easy to clean. I bought something to hang the pans up so not to scratch the interior as other reviewers noted over time from stacking, they scratch. I have cooked in the oven with the large pan and no problems with warping, easy clean up. So far, so good with these.

I purchased this set of Cuisinart cookware recently and have used then for the past three weeks. They are by far the best set of cookware I have owned to date. The pans are thick enough that they grab and retain heat very quickly and evenly. The non-stick coating is the slickest I have encountered, nothing sticks and cleanup is literally a swish with a soapy dishcloth. The metal handles are really designed well. The handle forks out as it nears the rivets on the pans leaving a open gap, this gap disipates the heat from the pan before it can climb up the metal handle.
This is a great set of cookware.

I've had this cookware for 3 years. Loved it until this last year when the frying pans stopped doing their job. I always washed them by hand w/ nothing harsher than a scrubbee sponge made for non-stick surfaces. Always use medium to low heat and remove them from the burner as soon as I turn the burner off. I store them in my cabinet w/ foam sheeting to protect them from getting scratched! Use utensils for non-stick, etc. Haven't been able to make an omelette in them for almost a year now, even w/ lightly oiling the pan!. Everything sticks and I'm lucky if a one-egg omelette turns out to be 1/2 scrambled egg by the time it gets to the plate. I purchased these because of the Cuisinart reputation and Lifetime Warranty figuring if they're warrantying it for a lifetime, Cuisinart has to have faith in the quality of their product. I'm going to put it to the test this week and see what happens, if they back it up and I'll report back here.
(BTW this is the first time I've ever felt called to write a product review.)

I researched lots of different pans before deciding to purchase this set and I have been very happy with them so far. They have a good weight and feel, they are well made and cook food superbly. Cleaning is also a breeze as the food comes off without having to scrub or soak. If you take good care of these then they will last a long time, but that does mean hand washing and not stacking the pots inside each other, a bit of a hastle, but worth it for such a good set.

Heavy enough for good heat distribution but not so heavy that it's an effort to lift them from a burner. Nice handles. Non-stick wipes clean easily but durability is not known.

I couldn't be happier with this experience. I ordered this set on a Wednesday with free super saver shipping and Friday it was on my doorstep. I ordered this as a gift for a friend. This is the exact set she wanted and I got it for $50 less than it cost at the store where she was registered. She is delighted to have this set and loves using it.
Quantanium contains Teflon - Review written on April 07, 2007

The interior of the pans is NOT anodized aluminum, but "Quantanium". It's an excellent non-stick surface, and so far my set works fine. However, if you're concerned about overheated Teflon and the chemicals being released into your food, you'll have to pay more to get a real anodized aluminum set.

Quantanium is not safe over 500 degrees F. It does contain PTFE, the same chemical in Teflon, which is potentially carcinogenic. Fumes from cooking are harmful to animals. And lastly, the non-stick layer is very thin, and will eventually come of. I bought my set thinking I was getting hard-anodized aluminum for a steal, but it seems you DO have to ante up for Calphalon or a more expensive brand to get the real stuff.

I'm a Calphalon fan, but for the price, Cuisinart is the way to go. I've had this set for a good portion of time now will absolutely no complaints. They heat evenly, I haven't had anything stick to the pan, and they're all around reliable. Not to mention the price is phenomenal. As an aspiring chef, they make a wonderful addition to my kitchen.

It's been a good set so far. I love the fact that I don't need oil or cooking spray to make over-easy eggs or omlets. The non-stick coating is great and the pans can go straight from the stove top to the oven. I plan to make a lasagna in the large saute pan...that should be interesting. :)

I have been using for about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. You can practically clean them with just running water. All except the small metal rivets found inside the pan. (very common on these types of sets) I even hide them from my roommate in my locked bedroom!!!

I was very happy with this set when I first purchased it 2 years ago. They are easy to clean and cook evenly. After a year of heavy use small patches of the nonstick coating started coming off. These pots and pans have never been in the dishwasher, used over high heat, or had metal utensils used on them. This is a set that won't last very long if you use it everyday.

I purchased this cookware set about 1 year ago. My husband and I are both big cookers, eating in at least 6 days per week. I tried one of the stainless skillets first and was very disappointed at how everything we cooked stuck and left stains. Ended up purchasing this set and have been very pleased. Nothing sticks, very easy and quick to wash up. Coulding be happier. The set is very sturdy and I anticipate this being the last set of cookware I will need to purchase.

*Update*
I have now had the set for almost 1 year. The cookware still looks almost new. Food does not stick, there are no scratches in the non-stick surface for food and bacteria to cling to. The anodized finish on the outside remains a dark matte finish. I highly recommend this set of cookware!

After 9 months of owning this set and cooking with most of them almost every day, I can give an honest opinion of how they worked out for me.

Pros:
Excellent heat conduction. Stays hot, cooks evenly, and transfer from oven to stovetop and back is very convenient. Good, tough pots and pans at a great value. I like the large skillet and pots, especially.

Cons:
The nonstick coating is not really there anymore for the two frying pans. Though these have never been in the dishwasher or been scrubbed with anything heavier than a sponge, the nonstick coating has slowly burned off in patches, and now, though it hasn't peeled or flaked, there are spots where the food will stick and nonstick spray or oil must be used. Unless I use some kind of spray, pancakes, for instance, must be made in the large 2-handled skillet.

This is a pity because I was very careful not to overheat the pans--they have really been babied. I will probably buy Cuisinart again, but these two pans will need to be replaced within a few months. They are not really useful anymore for anything except veggie burger patties.

This is my first set of really nice cookware and I am thoroughly pleased with the quality. It is a beautiful set of cookware and I look forward to cooking now because the pans cook so evenly and are so easy to clean. I was a little concerned that the handles would get hot, but that has not been an issue. I would recommend this cookware to anyone who wants a nice set of pots and pans at a reasonable price.

My husband bought this set for me for Christmas. It's only been a week, but we have no complaints. Food cooks beautifully and cleanup is a breeze. Like the other reviews said, you don't need to cook on high heat. Also, if you want the set to last a long time, don't use metal utensils. They also look nice hanging on the pot rack by my stove.

If you are looking for a nice cookware set at a great price, get this one...you won't be disappointed.

After all the speculation my choice was between Emerilware and Cuisinart. I chose cuisinart because it is $50 less and also had glass lid whereas Emeril has steel. I purchased this set from bed bath beyond for $149.99 and I used their 20% coupon and I'll be getting 12" stainless steel pan after mail in rebate. I would have purchased it from Amazon as they are also giving a great deal but I was apprehensive and wanted some easy returns if I had to.
Its been a week and I'm having so much fun with cooking. Its taking much lesser time and food doesn't stick to the pans at all. Well, I've read reviews food gets stuck etc. I suspect its because they cook it at high as I did once. Cooking at medium or med high is sufficient as it gets heated quite fast. Riveted steel handle is quite sturdy and remains cool. I'm not giving 5 stars beacause the lid gets hot and I will have to use oven mitt in future. but as of now my cooking hasn't exceeded 20-30 min at once and the lid is just warm for tht period and hence manageable.
I love this cookware esp its a huge leap from mirro non-stick cookware and I'm gald I made this purchase and it looks great too.

I have had the similar 7 piece set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion. They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot. The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6. Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface. That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion.

My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness. The fry pans are the weakest items of the set. After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts. They also have a feel of quality, unlike the Cuisinart pans.

For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized 10 piece set (retails for $200); and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are currently using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.

I have tried a lot of cookwares: from Tools of Trade to Faberware to Calphalon. Recently I bought this Cuisinart 12 piece set.

The result of the comparison: Cuisinart is the best! I often burn food. With all the previously used cookware, I threw the burned food together with the pot or pan in the trash can--Do not want to see "ya" again! The Calphalon pot changed the color of the bottom after burning.
Today, I burned again. The food was burned, totally blackened, the Cuisinart pot not only miraculously survived the "brutality", it remains inside and outside INTACT-- Still like new, even though the whole house smells burning.

The beautiful thing! Why didn't I find this product earlier?!

My boyfriend is an expert level cook, while I am just an amateur. He picked out this set of cookware for me, and both us are thrilled with it. It is so easy to clean, it's ridiculous. The handles don't get hot at all, the food quality is coming out really great, and the set looks really pretty and expensive. No one can believe I got this for the price I did.

I bought the 10 piece Cuisinart set about a month ago and ever since I've been expecting it to fall to pieces, burst, turn to dust, explode, vanish in thin air, etc. etc... anything that would give me a reason for the low price of 140$ which is 400$ in stores. The truth is, it's too good to be true. But it is! This is the best cookware set I have ever seen by far. Nothing will ever be able to stick to these lovely pots and pans, no matter what you do, so be ready to say goodbye to all the non-stick sprays, oil, butter and soaking and scratching. They don't even need harsh soaps for a moderate cleaning up. It is true that they can burn food, but the instructions say that these are not meant to be used at high stove-top heats anyway, use a low to mid heat and everything will turn up wonderful. They are really good for slow cooking and can also go in the oven up to 675 degrees, which is required for some food I like to make. The glass lids are useful when making rice or seeing the color of vegetables but they can spill if nor handled properly due to the design, which could certainly improve since they are, unlike the pots, not very easy to clean. My handles have never got too hot unlike my previous Faberware set. I adore the small skillet which is just the right size for a 2 egg french omlete, in general, the sizes are logical and all come in handy. It does say they are metal utensil safe, which is not exactly true since it's OK with a fork or spoon, but any hand held electronic gadget can scratch the interior a little. Also, although the dark gray outer finish is beautiful, it seems that the colour will be wearing of in time.

To sum it up, if you're willing to give some extra attention to this good-looking set (drying after hand washing, preferably hanging and keeping the lids clean) this is a deal you must not miss. BTW, It arrived very quickly and was packed great by Amazon. You won't be able to use any piece in this set at high stove top heats, so get a cheap large skillet for that kind of job, give away your old set and buy this one like I did. I doubt anyone will ever regret it. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could due to the not-so-good lid design facor. Still, I love my cookware set, will probably be using it for at least 10 years to come and recommend it fully to anybody.

I bought this set to replace my first set of cookware. These pots cook really fast so you have to be careful not to use too much heat. The only thing I don't like is that the lit handles get hot too and if you are boiling something with the lid on water usually spills. Other than that I can't complain. These pots are sooooooo easy to clean. Nothing sticks to them.
