i just have to say first off, that if anyone gave this album below 5 stars, shame on you. you must not be able to see talent and heart in music. well anyway....

this is my favorite band and my favorite cd, what more could you ask for in a band other than heartfelt vocals and slammin guitars. and they add a wonderful twist with the two acoustic songs, which on the acoustic ep, "ever so sweet" is my favorite song. if you like a band with power, potential, and the best label out there, you need to hear the early november.

my reviews of each song

1. EVER SO SWEET- a little different than on the acoustic ep but still unique. the best chorus ive ever heard, "you baked it in cakes for me" the acoustic flare is awesome for the early november, cause ace sounds awesome when acoustically led...4/5

2. SOMETHING THAT PRODUCES RESULTS- good hard song, also a good chorus and bangin guitar riffs to add int he mix. its not my favorite style for them to play. but still awesome... 5/5

3. THE MOUNTAIN RANGE IN MY LIVING ROOM- great song, starts out a little shaky but awesome drums and lyrics, "its never been harder to fall, theres nothing to grab and thats all i want to hold on to"... 5/5

4. SESAME SMESHAME- one of my favorites, the vocals give my guivers and the guitar does so too. a nice, different sound, sort of 80's. but a song to listen to many times over again. youll fall in love... 5/5

5. BABY BLUE- not my best choice for a song, it just gets boring after a short while. "i dont want you to love me anymore". but all in all, good lyrics and vocals... 4/5

6. THE COURSE OF HUMAN LIFE- an awesome song which shows the talent of all members... ace, jeff, joe, sergio. great job to all of em... 5/5

7. DINNER AT THE MONEY TABLE- another acoustic and another favorite. you get used to the annoying vocal in the verse but it makes for a unique touch. a good chorus. a very respectable song... 5/5

8. EXCHANGING TWO HUNDRED- what a song, the verse is shaky but its made up for by the chorus, "everything you wanted you got it" give props for this song. not to mention an aewsome bass line... 5/5

9. MY SLEEP PATTERN CHANGED- this song is just like the title, sleepy like a dream, and in a pattern. good everything. what more can i say, all these songs are great... 5/5

10. FLUXY- my least favorite ont he cd, but still a respectable song, especially when the dude form midtown joins in to sing some... 4/5

11. EVERYTHINGS TOO COLD... BUT YOURE SO HOT- holy crap this is an awesome song. if you have the patients to wait til the end, youll get a powerful and emotional surprise. thats why its so good. i wouldnt have chosen any other song to go at the end... 5/5

well there you have the best album ever created and you must buy every single cd they have, youll be very satisfied, it opened up a new way to look at music for me. its just a great cd to play over and over, and over again. go buy it, or youll be sorry for not knowin these guys.

i can't even start to say how amazing this band is. all of u that wrote reviews about his voice being whiny and how it's unoriginal....SHUT THE HELL UP! these guys are in a league of their own and are best at what they do. if you've seen these guys live maybe u would understand. the lyrics are symbolic and true, it just gives me chills when i listen to it. this cd is so relaxing and hopeful and can also make u think about things. if you're feeling stressed, having relationship problems, lost a loved one, or just having a crappy day, just pop this cd in and lie on your bed, and stare up at the ceiling. then fall asleep and wake up and you'll fell alot better. every song on the cd is amazing in its own right. the standouts are "something that produces results", "the mountain range in my living room", sesame shesame ", "baby blue", "money at the dinner table", exchanging two hundred", "fluxy", and "the rooms' to cold, but you're so hot". so basically on but 3 songs are standouts on this cd. this will go down as an emo classic and will be one of my favorite cds for a long time. recommended for fans of emo/indie music and for fans of armor for sleep, matchbook romance, brandnew, dashboard confessional, something corporate, etc. also, ace enders (frontman of early november) has a solo album coming out oct. 26 and the name of the band "i can make a mess like nobody's business". if your a fan of the early nov. make sure you check that out and while your at it check out thier debut ep "for all of this" and their acoustic ep. u can get all of these on drivethrurecords.com

Isn't it funny how all the good bands come out of New Jersey. Ok, maybe it isn't funny, but you have to admit that alot of good punk bands have developed in NJ. The band is great, they know how to make you fell like you've spent your money on something worth while. The songs are catchy and the beats are awsome. They are sure to be songs you'll be singing all day long. The best songs are "Mountain Range in my Living Room", "I want to hear you sad", "fluxy", and "something that produces results". The band just went on tour, and I cant wait till they come to the place I live.

This is a good album, don't get me wrong, but I was just bored by some of the songs. "The Room's Too Cold" can be a very repetitive album, but I bought it for $5 at the Starting Line, Allister, Home Grown, Early November, Senses Fail concert and it was definitely worth the $5, but I don't know if it would be worth the full price

first off id start by saying that im into marilyn manson, (...) type music to stevie nicks. and i listen to just about all of the emo bands too. ive had the early novembers, ' for all of this' and it had some decent songs on it and i liked the band but i never really listend to it. then i got the rooms to cold and listend to the whole thing straight through and it totally blew my mind because i didn't want to skip a song. and i never have any time ive ever listened to it. which is extremely rare for me. because im always skipping to a song i like. but with this cd i like them all. the cd is just plain great. each song is worth the price alone. and ace's voice is one of my favorites out of any type of band. it may be whiney to some ppl(if it is you shouldn't be listening to this type of music to begin with)...which i don't really see because being the wide range of music i listen to i didn't find it whiny. but regardless i love that voice.

"ever so sweet" one of the 1st songs i heard from the cd before i got it. accustic starts off slow. love the end 'WE'RE NOT SPECIAL!' 5/5

"Something that produces results" catchy begining lines. 'clever is a gentle word' stuck in my head for days.one of my favorites on the cd. 5/5

"the mountain range in my living room" didnt rele catch my attention till the chorus. 'it's never been harder to fall. theres nothing to grab and thats all i want to hold on to.' 4/5

"sesame, smeshame" good song. 'the actors who play our friends. they always win' 4/5

"baby blue" lol this song makes me happy. its the kinda song that makes you want to jump around in seizure like spasmz. i love the pause then the 'but its okay to come around' -rips off shirt- sorry you'd have to see ace dancing to it. 5/5

"the course of human life" ..good song..'we've come so far, a useless space' 4/5

"Diner at the money tabe" slower song. more accustic. still good. 'gotta tell you a reason why i should not belive in anything anymore. whats this for.' 4/5

"exchanging twohundred" starts off slow then picks up. good once it picks up. 4/5

"my sleep pattern changed" slow song but still good 'i hear you angel voice. it makes me feel so nice.' 4/5

"fluxy" features the lead singer from the starting line. this is also another good song. 'i don't care cause i care way to much' 4/5

"everythings to cold...but your so hott" lol i love this song. it is slow the entire song but i love the end when he starts screaming...i guess you'd call it screaming.'you know i always forget' good way to end the cd. love the chorus. 'she complains the rooms to cold' 5/5

overall great cd. hope they make another soon. if you like this type of music get the cd you won't regret it.
An "Ever So Sweet" Album - Review written on July 22, 2004

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. It's not one of my favorite CDs, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. But still, some of my favorite songs are on this CD. After I heard a few songs from their EP, I knew I had to get "The Room's Too Cold".

The first two songs, "Ever So Sweet" and "Something That Produces Results" are my favorites from the CD. The lead singer's voice reminds me of Taking Back Sunday or The Starting Line, and the lyrics of the songs really hit home. This is a good CD for anyone who likes emo, punk, or rock music.

well yes, the music behind early november is some of the best in the business, but like someone else said, the guys voice is a bit too whiny. i always skip something that produces results because it is terribly anoying, but songs like ever so sweet do them justice. if you get a chance to see them live, do so without hesitation though, they are one of the best damn performing bands i've ever seen

Ok. Ill be the first to admit, i wasnt a fan of Early November. I didn't totally like the EP, though tracks like 'For All Of This' and 'Everynight's Another Story' shined through. I wasnt too keen on their LP, and reluctant to buy it as i expected a follow up to the EP. Man i was wrong. By a long shot. This cd is amazing. The Early November has progressed like no other band has. The full length debut absolutly blew my mind. I never knew they were this good. This album, is like a human. It goes through every emotion possible.

1. 'Ever So Sweet' - As far as i can remeber, i dont remeber any record starting off acousticly (expect if its an acoustic record). A very good song indded. The Novembers acompained by an orchestra.
2.'Something That Produces Results' - one of my favorite tracks. I first heard it on the Drive-Thru complilation, which i totally loved. The verse is amazing.
3. 'Mountain Range In My Living Room' - is another great track. The bridge is very dark, but when you listen to what the people are saying, its kind of funny.
4. 'Sesame, Smeshame' - This song has one of the catchiest chorus every. One of my favorite lyrics on the album is during the verse, when Ace Enders sings 'the actors who play our friends'.
5. 'Baby Blue' - Another awesome track. With lyrics like 'A beautiful baby blue sky that's looking up at you. Now watch it fade away'. Do i need to say more?
6. 'The Course Of Human Life' - I really like this song. Its chorus is amazing. Definetly another awesome track.
7. 'Dinner at the Money Table' - Another slow acoustic track. Quite good, and has amazing lyrics.
8. 'Exchanging Two Hundred' - One of my favorites on the album. The verse is outstanding. Definetly one of the best tracks.
9. 'My Sleep Pattern Changed' - I sort of expected better. But i still like it. Lyrics are a bit repetative. Ace shows off his voice to the world.
10. 'Fluxy' - Ah yes. The song that every Startline Line fan has heard and loved. Featuring their amazing lead signer Kenny Vasoli. This is one of my favorites. Ace Enders and Kenny Vasoli take turns doing the verse, then back each other up during the chorus. Amazing, by two of the best bands and signers around.
11. 'Everything's Too Cold.. But You're So Hot' - How do you end such a good record? Easy, end it with a song just as good as the album. Definetly on of my favorites. 7 minutes of pure emotion. I love how in the middle of the song their a pause, and as your about to turn off the player, the music starts amazing. Amazing track.

I love this album, and i really think they are one of the underrated bands out there. This albums proves the Novembers are here to stay. Very good technically and very mature considering their age.

For the true emo connoisseur this compact disc is an essential buy. The lead singer, Arthur Enders, has the perfect emo voice, and you can hear his forte performance on the opening track of the album. His lyrics are also very poetic in nature, nothing superficial or emotionally vapid. This compact disc will have you up and dancing in no time.

If you've never heard of The Early November you're definetly missing out. Their cd "For All of This" was very, very good. But for some reason I'm more drawn to this cd. I'm a sucker for heartfelt songs and breath-taking lyrics, and this is what "Rooms Too Cold" has to offer to everyone. If you're going to get one of their albums, check this one out first. The cd starts off with "Ever so Sweet" which drew me into the band completely, and ends with "Everything's too cold...but you're so hot." From start to finish you'll be completely captivated into the lyrics, placing yourself in the position of being a hopeless romantic, heartbroken, or crying to yourself because you know EXACTLY what theyre talking about in each song. Definetly the cd for somebody who knows what love is really all about. So take my word for it, and go out and buy this cd.

Early November's EP, For all of this, was an instant classic for me. Every song is good, catchy, and have great lyrics and stucture. After hearing "Room's Too Cold", their debut LP, I was extremely disappointed. With the exception of track 4, and sometimes 2 and 3 (depending on what mood I am in) the songs on this record aren't even worth listening to all the way through. Dont get me wrong, this cd isnt horrible (not to be confused with Courtney Love's record), but it isnt good. It is trapped somewhere in the middle in an area I like to call "bland." If you really want to know what Early November is capable of, pick up their EP, "For all of this" and forget that they even have an LP.

Just saw these guys live, and they were just shy of horrible. Figured I would give their album a chance, however. Unfortunately this is not one of those bands that is terrible live and good recorded. They sound a bit like a really really bad Midtown. Their songs are uninspiring at best.

I love this cd its in the front of my cd case along with promise ring and cursive. Rooms too cold is filled with emotion. My favorite song off the cd is "exchanging two hundred" but thats just me the songs flow together very well from soft to powerful and back again. I tend to like the softer songs on the cd such as track 4 and 8 however the more powerful ones, such as track 2, are what really brings the cd together and makes it great.

This cd is great. Now, I can't say it's brilliant, but it's great. Although simple, the songs on this album are very emotional and well writen. I feel sometimes on this CD that it's a band behind a voice. This can be a good thing, seeing as how the best songs are the two acoustic songs. All around, this CD is definetly one of my favourites and I love listening to it....................P.S. Ken is awsome in fluxy, so is the whole song.

Don't get me wrong. The CD is still good. It's damn good, but personally, I think that it could've been better. I like The Early November, and although most of the songs are good, I think some of it's a bit mediocre for them. Comparitively, it's really good, but I've built up such high expectations that some of it just falls a bit short. The more I listen to this album though, the more it grows on me. It's a very high quality emo/punk album, and if you like those genres, I highly suggest getting it. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

this is an insanely good album and i would recommend it to any who likes emo. Something that produces results, the mountain range in my living room, and exchanging two hundred are the best songs on the album. I cannot decide if it is better then their debut album because that too is excellent. all i have to say is if you enjoy emo get this album
