I was watching "Good Eats" on Food TV and Alton Brown was making some great looking cookies. He was using a cookie scoop that looked like this one. I was not sure if it would do all that it appeared to do but I ordered it anyway. Made a batch of cookies and used the scoop and it worked GREAT! I am very happy with it, I got the large scoop and it does make large cookies. I am now going to get both the small and medium scoops. Happy baking.

It definitely does the job it's advertised to - makes perfectly uniform cookie dough drops for 2-3 inch diameter cookies, and without the sticky mess. But you can also use this as an mini ice cream scoop or melon baller for decorative features on desserts.

The price is just right for this handy little (and sturdy) kitchen tool.

This is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets for little mouth sized melon and ice cream balls. It is sturdy, reliable, and easy to handle.

It works really well. I don't put it in the dishwasher though, so I can't attest to it's durability in that way.

This little kitchen helper is wonderful, when my old cookie scoop gave up the ghost, i chose one from the oxo range. Comes in several sizes, it is wonderfully comfortable, super strong and extremely well made. Thinking now of getting a larger size as well. It is worth getting it shipped all the way over to europe. Dishers are one of those things where it seems like the cheapest one in the store would get the job done. After breaking a few I've reconsidered. This is a great one so far. It's high enough quality to scoop even chilled dough. The sweep has enough clearance from the bowl that the whole thing is easy to get clean.

My one observation: a medium is a bit on the small side, if you are making cookies. I am going to keep my medium but order a large to go with it.

sturdy, dish washer safe ,makes perfect size cookies or for whoopie pies, creats a uniform size. wish i had purchased sooner, also has multi purpose, and stiil an ice cream scoop too!!!

Can be used for cookie dough, sorbet, ice cream, melon balls...has lasted a few years so far and is solidly built.

and use these for silver dollar pancakes ! They come out perfectly sized and round.

The little ones just love them. I give a puddle of syrup for dipping and it's so much easier for them to manage.

I resisted getting a cookie scoop forever. "A tablespoon was good enough for Mom and Grandma...it's good enough for me!" What a fool I was. In a nutshell, the OXO good grips cookie scoop:

-Is MUCH faster and easier than using a tablespoon.

I had been looking for the perfect size to make cookies at the holidays, and this one is it. I have the next size bigger as well and it is to large. Also, it is very sturdy and can take lots of use.

This is the very best way of scooping out muffin dough, or for large cookies. LOVE IT!

I love this cookie dough scoop. The cookies it makes are a good size and the dough comes out very easily. Feels well-made. I had another brand's scoop and it broke after a couple uses but this one has held up. Now I just need to get the other 2 sizes as well. :)

Good strong cookie dough scoop. Does not have a cheap plastic gear set like most of these, therefor has not broken like the rest of these.

I've been checking Wal-Mart for months on this item and finally got tired of waiting so I bought it on line. I swear, the next day, Wal-Mart started selling them. It never fails. But it is a great item. My cookies were all big and uniform. The dough came out like it was suppose to and it was very easy to use. I used the medium one...am thinking about getting the small one. I can't imagine what I'd use the big one for.

My plastic cookie scoop that my husband and I received as a wedding gift 7 years ago finally died. So I decided to upgrade to a higher quality scoop and hoped that this one would meet my expectations. So far, I am truly pleased with my purchase. I'll be ordering the smaller size next for smaller cookies. Great for meatballs too, if your guy likes large meatballs the way mine does. :) Well worth the money - I would definitely recommend this product.

This is a must have if you love to bake cookies...this makes it so easy and fast to get the cookies on the cookie sheet and it is easy clean up! I have 3 different sizes and love them all!

I purchase the OXO Good Grips "Small" cookie Scoop, and shortly tried it out with the oatmeal cookie dough the next week, very impressed with the quality of this utensil and very easy to use, and so much faster to get the cookies on the pan and into the oven much faster. The great thing is all the cookies were basically the same size and cook thereby evenly.
Really love this product and highly recommend it for anyone who does make cookies involving the "drop method".

Typical wonderful OXO quality and comfort. The band that does the release from the bowl is very sturdy, even compared to a high-end scoop. The band also has the capacity in "scoops" and 1-1/2 TBSP engraved in it for easy reference.

At first I was hesitant in ordering this as I didn't think it was a necessary kitchen tool. But now I'm so glad I got it. It saves me sooo much time making cookies. I ordered the medium size. When they are done baking, they are all the same size and shape. Also it's easy to clean, even if the dough dries up on the scoop.

My husband was dubious about me spending money to get a cookie scooper. After all, we have an (awful, in my opinion) ice cream scooper.

Well I was at Bed Bath & Beyond, and it was right there staring at me, I thought it was an ice cream scoop, and I was going to buy it for cookies, but it actually said cookie scoop!

So I bought it, and it's the perfect tool for cookies! I've done regular choc chips with it, and just yesterday I did a a very sticky oatmeal raisin honey cookie (from [...]) and again, a perfect cookie!

Before I bought this scoop I really did not know how to make the right sized cookies. I made gigantic cookies usually, and sometimes medium or small ones, but having this scoop saves you on calories because you get portion sized cookies, instead of bigger ones.

Works for all kinds of cookies. Great tool for the kitchen!

I'm very satisfied with my new "cookie scoop". That's what I use it for. It scoops up just the right amount of batter to make regular size muffins. It's easy to clean too.

This is a great cookie scoop for large (about 5in. in diameter) cookies. They are uniform in size and the scoop is easy to use. The rubber handles make it comfortable in the hand especially when making a lot of cookies. I highly recommend this product.

This does make a very large cookie if you use a full scoop. I now only use about 1/2 a scoop per cookie. I was not sure which size to buy when I got this, but am glad for this in the future when I will need a larger one. Plus, it is more cost effective to have the larger and just not fill it up all the way.

This is a great product, it makes cookies so much quicker!! You do end up with a bit of a difficult washing up job when the cookie dough gets stuck in the bowl, but it saves so much time I dont mind!

So far, so good. Made muffins today, worked great and filled the muffin tins perfectly.

I bake a lot of cookies and have always found a cookie scoop to be a handy tool. However, before I got this one, I only had two sizes. Small and giant. The big one is good for muffins but it makes enormous cookies. The small one is good for some cookies, especially when the recipe says "rounded teaspoon" but too small when the recipe says "rounded tablespoon." This one is a very handy size and so far appears quite sturdy. It survived the holiday baking season and beyond and still good as new. The rubber handles are also a nice touch.

This is the best gadget I've ever had! I just made snickerdoodles with it and it was a dream to use. It was simple and super easy. It worked like poetry in motion! The scoop makes a perfect uniform cookie, the dough doesn't stick, it scoops easily and slides right out. I couldn't be happier.
