Its a really fun game! The battle mode could be better but over all, the game is a classic!!!

This game is so much fun for all my grandkids age 4 and up. They have so much fun playing it that they barely say hello!

Anyone who has played Mario Kart will either tell you that its stupid and pointless, or that its one of the best multi-player experiences available. I'm one of those people that think its an amazing multi-player gaming series, and Double Dash is no exception.

The graphics, while not the best on the Gamecube, are still pretty good in my opinion, and much better than they need to be for a game like this where the sole purpose is chaos and fun. Its also a huge step up from Mario Kart 64's graphics, but I'm sure we were all expecting that given the jump in console generations. The game also hold a very steady frame rate without any slowdown that I noticed.

The soundtrack is fun and upbeat. Its not amazing, heartfelt, intense, or moving, but it fits its role nicely and gets the job done. I don't know if I'd want much more from a soundtrack of a game like this.

As always with the Mario Kart series, game play is key. Double Dash brings back the winning formula of previous games in the series and throws in a twist, you now have a partner. In my opinion the partner doesn't really add that much but I guess its something that mixes it up a bit and makes it different from other games in the series. There's a whole bunch of new maps, some rival the best in the series so far, while others are kind of dismal by comparison. There's some new items now too, as well as special ones only certain characters can use. There's more characters and way more karts now as well. The multi-player is the highlight, you and your friends will have a blast. The only other thing I could ask for as a game-play improvement is online play.

Mario Kart won't give you the best simulation experience ever. Nor will it provide you with cutting edge graphics. But I can promise it will be the most fun you've had with a racing game, and even more so when friends are involved.

A great buy!!! Something my kids and I can all play together! The graphics are good, the new courses fun, and the double character play is great. And the fact that we can play it on our Nintendo Wii ensures it will be around for a LONG time!

This game is awesome... there are more stages plus you have two people on your car. There are new characters like Daisy,Toadette,and Baby Luigi, you even get to pick the car you drive. I highly recommend this game if your a Mario game fan.

Mario Kart double dash is a classic. We have played this for years with our kids, and it remains one of our all time favorites.

This game is exactly what I expected and more, my friends and I greatly enjoy playing it together, the levels are much better than they used to be, but still the great quality and fun of the old game.

My son played this game at a friends house - and loved it. I waited a couple of months to make sure he really wanted it, and sure enough, he plays this game at least a couple times a week!
Am VERY glad for this purchase! I HATE to buy games only to have them sit and collect dust!

I bought this for my grandchildren to play whenever they are visting and they love it. One is 8 and the other is 10. I play it often with them and it is challenging enough for everyone to have fun. IMHO buy it, you won't be disappointed.

There is no question this is the most fun game to play on gamecube (in fact, I bought gamecube specifically just to play this game)...highly recommend.

OK, I am not a kid, but you'd never know it when I am playing this game. I love it. My son and I play this and other Mario games often. You can play from one to four people. Cordless controllers are the best, but not necessary. You can not go wrong with this...at any age!!!

You are never too old to play Mario. It's one of the greatest games designed and played by the makers of Mario. It's still expensive as all Mario games but this one is worth it.

I cannot submit a review since the seller sent the wrong game. Although I returned wrong game in plenty of time for ordered game to be put under Christmas tree, it did not happen. Took quite a few emails to get refund and wasn't refunded the return postage as promised. This caused me to order books from overstock.com rather than Amazon.com for birthday present.

This game is a lot of fun for the whole family to play together. We love racing against each other. The game is user friendly and easy to play. I would not recommend it for the serious gamer, but for good clean family fun, this is the game for you!

In these days of high gasoline prices and environmental awareness we have no choice but to bow to Mario's supreme wisdom. His Karts require no fossil fuel and are guilt-free.

Great game! The double dash feature lets you have two players in one cart which eliminates the 5 minutes of you picking your favorite character. The courses are great and when you get gold medals in all the courses you unlock a secret course. The weapons you can use vary by which character you pick like some characters have bombs or eggs or fire. It's a great multiplayer game and you can play it for hours!

the game is great, my kids love it, but since is a multiplayer would be better more carachters, and of course more stages.

mario kart racing is a lot of fun. our children's dentist has this in his office waiting room and we just had to buy it for ourselves at home. Both of my boys, 12 and 5, like to race each other. My husband even gets in on the game. I haven't been able to squeeze in a session between the three of them.

It doesn't have that good ol' Mario Kart feel. It's very competitive, and fast paced. I'd say it's much harder than the two before it. But you feel like you're trying too hard to win a race (which is actually a challenge here), than just having fun. I feel as though they've modified the controls a bit, the carts tend to drift around more than before, and the subtraction of the jump ability, along with modifying the power turn (to make it harder), along with Ai improvements and the good old fashioned "cheating" AI characters , this game can be very frustrating at times.
However, for you Mario Kart fans looking for a new game, look no further. I wish it had not been quite so frustrating, but I definitely recommend it.

Well, I bought it for the kids for some good clean fun (No violence, except for crashes and some bumping). However, it would be nice to win some races over my son sometimes. He is too good.

I have always been a big fan of mario kart so what can i say other than it is a great fun game. Not only that, if you have enought controlers then its fun for four people. Great fun! What more is there to say?

It's one of the first games I bought, and the only one I've played with so much.

This has become my seven year old son's and my favorite game to play together, and all the kids in the neighborhood enjoy it, too. The races are cool and battle mode is even cooler. If I keep practicing, one of these days I might even win a race or a battle against him!

I love Mario Kart double dash a lot, even though it is now considered an "old" (3 years) game. Great for parties, as are all Mario Games, and very competitive.

The graphics in Mario are the best for any video game. It is so fun unlocking characters and courses. My favorite thing in the game is the grang prix. It is the best game ever!!!!!!!!!!!

Mario Kart Double Dash is a great editon to the Mario Kart series. What makes this game so unique is that there are two drivers per kart. The one in front is the driver and the one in the back uses the items. You can also choose any combo of characters you want. There are tons of great tracks, like one of the most famous ones, Star Road. There are also many items, like the green shell, the banana peel, and the fake item blocks. Multiplayer is also great with awesome battle arenas. Any fan of Mario Kart will definitly love this game.

Its a very good game! Nintendfo is the best company in games business in my opinion especially in making games for 4 people! this is one of them! its great! I reccomend!

This is a fun game!!! But let me tell you that previous versions of Mario Kart had more fun than this one. You have new characters, true. You have new cars, true. You have new items, true. And you can play in the same Kart wit a friend, true. So what's the problem? I'm not so sure, but I'm missing the old version very much!! The old one had 5 stars from me.

I bought this to play on my new Wii because I never did buy a gamecube, and man was I ever let down. I have a SNES system pretty much just for the original mariokart. It's great, it's something that challenges everyone and can be enjoyed by kids and adults. Double dash is so infantile it sickens me! The battlemode options are terrible! Who wants to play on top of a gamecube? That's the most uninspired thing I've ever seen! And other venues such as cookie land? I wanted to see sequels to the original, advances in the game but the same basic concept. This game is for kids much like the N64 version, look toward the gameboy DS for a better mariokart. A serious let down. If you liked the original at least rent it before you buy it just to see if I'm telling the truth here.

This is a fun game but if you have played the classic Mario Kart this one does not have as many of the classic stages and characters. The good thing about it is you can play head to head or by yourself. Each character has their own and unique powers and power-ups. We give it a thumbs up!
