I have only owned two juicers in my lifetime, so take that into consideration while reading this review. If you are looking for power and convenience this is the juicer for you. It can juice anything, and the quality of the juice that flows out is gorgeous. A good way to differentiate between good quality and bad quality juicers, so some people have told me, is to juice spinach. If it can juice it without producing a slimy substance, with little foam, it passes the high quality standard. With this juicer I can juice a whole bundle of spinach in a couple seconds with no problems at all, and it is completely liquid.
The best part about the juice, though, is that it literally takes about three minutes to clean. Very convenient.

I was skeptical. I thought that it would require a lot of prep work and a lot of Cleanup. I actually came to Amazon and bought this product on the word of the people who gave their comments. I'm so happy that I did. I have seen quality products before, but this product is the best. It cleans up really easily, the prep work is slight, and it produces the best juice that you could ever wish for. This juicer does a very good job of separating the juice from the solids. I've had my juicer for about a month so far and I have juiced carrots, apples, oranges, kuiwei, grapes, strawberries, pears, etc, etc... This thing is great. The only thing that is not exactly right is that it says that it juices whole apples. IT can if the apple is small enough, but usually, I have to slice it. However, it's a great product.
BEST entry level unit - Review written on April 07, 2007

This is an excellent unit.
Things to keep in mind:
1) Use a bag to line the waste container before you juice.
2) Clean up juicer first, especially the filter using the included brush, before you drink the juice.
3) Let the juicer take the veggies and other 'product' at its own pace. When I forced the product through the unit, the pulp was still moist. When I let the juicer take its time, and pushed lightly on the plunger, it took more juice from everything.
4) Use a standard citrus juicer for oranges, lemons, and grapefruits.
5) Consider using alternative means of 'juicing' bananas.
This motor is amazing, the plastic construction is amazing, the price is just right.
Breville: cheap/good - Review written on March 26, 2007

I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of support for this juicer. I'm not a hard core juice aficionado like some of the folks posting about the moistness of their pulp. All I know is that since purchasing it several months back, I've used it every weekend to juice carrots, beets, apples, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, oranges, and grapefruit - all to good effect. I don't find it particularly noisy, effective in extracting some mad delicious juice, and easy to break down and clean. The wet stuff, like citrus, does make for some wet pulp but for the harder stuff - like carrots - it practically spits out dust. I used to work in a health food restaurant for years, and we had an old Champion juicer. I loved it, and loved the fact that it made gnarly peanut butter which the Breville won't do, but for the price, the Breville rocks it up and all for under a C-note. The Champion, last I saw, was like $350. And, it's way harder to clean up IMHO. Breville bottom line: cheap, efficient, easy to clean. If you are trying to add juice to your life for better health, this is the way to go. In just three months, I've lost weight, added lean muscle mass, regrown my receding hair line, developed x-ray vision and can lift objects under fifteen pounds just by thinking about it...
