The best photo paper i've ever used! - Review written on November 13, 2006
Rating: 5 out of 5
I scrapbook, so i like to print what i need to scrap at home, one page at a time. This way i do not have a million pictures laying around staring at me and overwhelming me. I've purchased Kodak paper which i felt was grainy, and printed dark. Its expensive too. I bought HP glossy paper which was a heavier wieght and it was AWFUL. The outlines on human bodies is black, and the ink dries raised in spots of high color, the paper feels awful, grainy nasty.
This paper by canon is just supreme. Its just as good or better than any photo you get at the store. Its high gloss, dries very fast, almost immediatly unlike most papers that you can not touch for atleast 10 minutes for fear of smearing. I print very high resolution prints, most of my prints are over 1mb each on my pc and i enhance everything and saturate photos to give optimum colors, and this paper handles that perfectly.
I'll never ever use another brand. One note also, I own a Canon printer, but recieved an epson printer with my Nikon D50, which i set up in my bedroom for late night scrapping. This cannon paper prints just as beautifully on the epson as it does on the canon. Lots of paper just do not allow printing off of other printers, but the canon is the bomb!

Before finding it on Amazon, I use to drive 40 miles each way to buy this at an overpriced, overcrowded electronics megastore than shall remain nameless for $12.99 per pack. THAT is how far above this paper stands above everything else that I have tried. The price is great here and if you get quality paper it will reduce the ink money and frustration you would spend trying to get a decent print out of a cheaper paper. Also, the paper is the perfect size, quality, and cost (about half as much per print than a tranditional print) to have fun with. BUY TWO SIDED TAPE and stick these little gems everywhere.
I generally cannot discern the difference between this and the pro paper, and after spending the last decade in the darkroom, I like to think I can generally tell something about quality photographic prints.
I have not had the yellow tint problem that has been mentioned in earlier reviews.
Nearly identical to Canon Photo Paper Pro! - Review written on May 19, 2004

I bought a i960 printer last week and it came with 5 samples of Photo Paper Pro. The printer was my first "photo printer" so I decided to give it a try and see how close the quality is from that of professional printing. After printing one sample, I have to agree w/ many reviewers here that the print quality of Canon printer along w/ the Canon paper is awesome!
I then bought 3 packs of Canon Photo Paper Plus (afterall it's $.10/page cheaper than the Pro). I printed the same photo with the Plus and I cannot tell the difference in terms of color and clarity! The only difference I saw was, if I look at the photos under the light in a certain angle, I see that the printed surface of the Plus is slightly rougher (less uniform) than that of the Pro. But you really have to look close to see the difference and honestly it doesn't impact the quality of the photo. So my conclusion is the Canon Photo Paper Plus is the way to go! (BTW, I previously bought some generic "glossy photo paper" on eBay and the quality was not accetable w/ ink smearing.)
A note for Canon S300 printer owners - Review written on February 12, 2004

Just a note for Canon S300 printer owners. Amazon incorrectly states that this paper is compatible with the S300. They should have said the S330. The S330 is capable of borderless prints, the S300 is not.
I was able to get my S300 to print (bordered) 4x6s after some experimentation. (Custom paper size = 4x6, layout = portrait ONLY).
The prints are beautiful.
Very few (if any) people will know the difference - Review written on January 30, 2004

I bought 5 packs of this paper and printed 100 photos for the front of our holiday card last year (December 2003).
The results were awesome, and most people cannot tell that it is not a print.
I printed from iPhoto on an iMac G4 using a Canon i850 photo printer.
You can always get better paper and a better printer and get even better results.. but for nearly every use I have found this paper (and other Canon papers like the 8.5x11) look terrific.
Buy a bunch, you will print more than you think, and it's no fun to run out.
Very Good Photo Paper - Review written on January 21, 2004

I purchased this paper to use with my Canon I900D printer. The results are very good. While this paper does indeed produce results comparable to 35mm prints the gloss, overall smoothness, and brighness of the paper are a little less than 35mm glossy prints. However the quality of the image produced on this paper with the I900D is excellent.
I have printed on both this paper and the Photo Pro paper and while the prints are similar, the gloss and smoothness of the Photo Pro paper is superior and about equal to 35mm prints. The Photo Pro paper is also somewhat brighter and whiter than the Photo Paper Plus.
Because the Photo Pro paper is substantially more expensive it is hard to justify the extra expense for it, however it does produce prints more similar to 35mm prints.
