Though only a handful of Playstation2 games require two or more players, is always best to keep an extra set of controllers at home.
They are long lasting, and can withstand some minor abuse such as falls on the floor, or the anger of a young frustrated player who tossed it away after loosing a round.
SONY made these in other colors, and I'm glad they went beyond the basic black, and included this ocean blue and the gray, and a few others. This one has some transparency so you can see a little bit inside.SONY's design is made for the human hands and is very comfortable after hours of gameplay, unlike Nintendo's design on their Gamecube controllers, this one feels natural in your hands.

This color is very appealing as it not too dark or too clear. If blue is your favorite color, like mine, get one!

A rock-solid no-frills controller from Sony with only the basic features. The plastic is of good quality and feels durable.

I've had mines for almost a year now. With only moderate usage, my controller is still at peak performance.

If you need an extra controller but don't care for any extra features, then you can't go wrong with this one.

I don't know what's the deal with PS2 controllers, the one that came with my old fat model lasted me for a few years and it served me well.

But the one that came with my slim model lasted less than a year of use before the left stick got really stiff and squeeky and the directional pad became very loose and moves around.

The brand new one I bought earlier this year has already started to get very unresponsive in the pad and the X button both of which I now have to press hard to get them to register.

Both of these newer controllers have a crappy start button that only works half the time. I think that Sony started using poor cheap parts in its controllers recently or something.

Hi, I bought a sony playstation 2 controller because my other 4 wore out! They last about a year, longer if your'e not as hard on them as I am,(lack of feeling in my hands,therefore I don't realize I'm way to hard)so if this games console is for you,and you need an extra or a replacement,Amazon.com is for you!!

Controller works as it should. No problems. Bought this one to replace an aftermarket controller that was working on and off intermittently. This is the second one of these I own, and I have had no problems with them.

Overall, everything was great! Works like a dream. Got here fast. I would definately buy from this seller again.

There is nothing fancy about the this controller but the color. But it is a good solid basic controller for those who dont want to spend the money to get a wireless or any of the other fancy controllers that are out there.

It works fine. Just the analog light is unstable, but analog still functions. You can get these at retail stores starting at 7.99.

I shopped for a second remote and this was the best price I could get one for and it works great and is worth the money :)

It's nice to have the brand from Sony, the original manufacturer. I once bought a controller from a vendor who showed pictures of a Sony controller for PS2, but received a PS2 controller made by Yobo Gameware. I looked later and saw on the vendor's page in small print that the controller they sell is made by Yobo. I had bought two of them and both of them lasted less than 6 months, and they only lasted 6 months because I had to keep taking them apart and fixing them, especially when it came to how often the left directional buttons would break. In this case, the original is the best. The original Sony one I had with the PS2 lasted over 2 years. The casing was broken because I had dropped it, but it still worked!

For some reason my husband seems to blow through these controllers...not sure why, but they only last him 4-6 months before they break. I do like how they vibrate when you are playing though.

No other controller on the market, for any console, or computer, is better than this. It has a comfortable design, all the keys you need, and easy to get used to, and allows for complex moves in many games too, a controller great for pro's and noobs alike. Artwork really.

This color is really neat and very pretty. I really wanted a nice looking controler and this one was perfect.

Not much to say about this controller...it's blue so it looks cool, but I bought mine used and the left analog stick is "sticky" as in it gets stuck very slightly in one direction. Put a little silicone lubricant in there, which helped but didn't completely fix it. My original controller that came with my PS2 isn't doing that so I don't really understand why this one is.

Sony makes the best controller for the PS2. Don't waste your money on the cheapies!

I am very dissapointed with this purchase. I ordered 2 of the controllers and 1 of them didn't work. I tried to contact the company about this, but unfortunately they never got back with me.

Kids! They would lose their heads if they weren't attached. Well controllers walk, and this one worked like new. Peace is restored!

Works very well. I bought it for my boyfriend because I think I broke his other 3 year old controller, but I'm the one using it. Works better than the black one he got with the PS2 in my opinion.

When I first purchased the PS2 dual shock controller from Amazon, I was under the impression that I was purchasing a Sony product--similar to the image that was being advertised on the website. However, to my amazement, the package that I received was a bootlegged version; I felt like I was duped. Unfortunately, weeks later in my follow-up feedback, it was finally brought to my attention that the item was not an original Sony product. In the end, I wished that the seller could have been more forthcoming about the product, otherwise I might not have purchased it in the first place. I guess that's what happens when you pay $7.50 for it; it was just too good to be true.

Overall the controller is still compatible with the PS2 system and the item was shipped, brand new, in a timely fashion. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the genuine version then this is the way to go, otherwise do not even bother.

I would buy from this company again cause of the product. My son love his new Colored Sony Playstation 2 Controller. Thank you cause now he leave me alone lol.

This controller works the best with the PS2 system. It handles well and has quick response. It works much better than knockoffs.

Fantastic. Always wanted a gren one. Only downfall was cord bein bent too long in package so it gets irritable with movement.

I Bought this controller from Amazon because it's cheaper than buying it at the store and it's delievered to your door. What more can you ask for? LOL!

Just like the last 3 Sony controllers I bought, this one sucks. As soon as I plugged it in, and turned on the game, the person I was trying to control starting moving backwards at a pretty fast clip. When I got it to stop moving backwards, he starting moving to the right just as fast. It was impossible to control him. I have since purchased a controller from Alienware, and it works perfect. Sony sucks. They have lost all interest in quality control. They are going on their name alone. I have 2 sons who have exactly the same problem with thier Sony controllers. I was going to send it back, but I just figured it would be a hassle, so I threw it away. Forget Sony if you want anything with high quality. I am not someone who abuses the game counsels or any thing that has to do with them. I am 61 years old and have been playing video games for a looooooong time. And my sons are 32 years old and 41 years old. They are not abusive little kids.

We recently purchased a 2 Dualshock Controller for sony Playstation and my son tells me it is working excellently.

Very good but the L and R button lock after some time of use. U need to press sometimes to unlock.

Well, the first time i bought something in amazon was this control, i needed it, mine was broken, so i tried it and it's really good. It works perfectly, and for me that's all because i live in venezuela so i have no way to send it back if it doesnt work. It's good, i like the black color, and use it to play on my PS one while i wait for my PS2 to be delivered.
