The Best Blank On The Market - Review written on July 30, 2007

I love these blanks, they are as close to perfection as you will get. I use to purchase them from a business that has gone out of business and worried that my copying woes were back. But I've found hope here on Amazon because they have just what I need. Even named brands will fail to finalize many times and I copy on the run many times. I can honestly say that I can count the failure of the TDKCD-R80TWN Music CDR on one hand. If you don't won't issues with your copying, buy this CD.

The CDs were great, but the case was damaged in shipping. It didn't effect the sound quality so I didn't try to return. Good overall.

I've used these for recording cds. No coasters after several hundred burns. Not sure if the CD is optimized for music or not, but the top side of the CD is white and easy to write on with Sharpies.

I have about 200 live concerts that I burned onto TDK discs about 3 years ago. None of them are playable now. Going forward, I will only use Mitsui Gold cds.

starting years ago when it was cassette tape and the first Tascam 4-track cassette machine. TDK SA-Xs always had a little more high end clarity than the rest of them. Haven't had any problem with these CDs and don't anticipate any.

These are what they are - they perform to specs. Given the cost of shipping, it would have been far more practical to pick them up locally, but that's not a reflection on the product itself.

This media has always worked for me and these discs hold up after years of extensive use. TDK was always one of my favorite cassette tapes and now they even are better with their CD-R's. Most people I know use these and have been extremely happy with their performance, reliability and sound.
No more OPC ERROR - Review written on November 18, 2006

When the package arrived and I took the CD's out,I didn't see any record speed on the cd's or the package,so I was concerned.I have a Philips CDR775 dual tray recorder/player and haven't been able to make any recordings lately.I kept getting "OPC ERRORS".I put the first of these discs in the tray and expected to see another OPC ERROR,but the player accepted it right away! I've made three recordings in a row with no problem.I'm convinced that my player is fine.I just haven't found any newer discs it'll accept, not even the new white label TDK 32x CD-R's.
Even better than Verbatim Audio... - Review written on September 28, 2006

I used the Plextor CD Burner and Verbatim Audio CDR in China; then I got the high quality CDs; but here I think the TDKs are more convenient, reliable and the CDs are more enjoyable. Remember, you are burning CD Audio not common data, so I suggest 8X burning, you would then enjoy both the speed and sound quality!

I am very pleased with the quality of the CDs. I love burning my own music, and the previous brand I used would always get rejected by my Beemer's music system towards the end of the CD. Not the TDK's though. Totally worth the few more dollars!
These CDs Work - Review written on July 27, 2006

I have had problems burning music CDs for playback in my car. I used "good" brands like Sony. When I saw these described as Music CDs, I decided to give them a try. I've had much better luck. The price is the same, and they work as data CDs too.
The most reliable CD-R - Review written on July 04, 2006

I am a DJ, doing a lot of recording from Vinyl, burning my own CD-Rs etc. I also happen to have some relatively old CD players (like the Pioneer CDJ-700). These TDKs are the best CD-Rs I have found for both recording and playback. I have never had a single one go bad during recording. And they are THE ONLY ones that never skip or jump even on my older CD players (the other ones were the blue Verbatims that apparently disappeared a few years ago). I feel 100% confident when I DJ using these CD-Rs! When it comes to looks, their all-white surface is perfect for affixing labels (like another reviewer pointed out). Unfortunately I will agree with that same reviewer that they are getting harder & harder to find. I just hope they don't discontinue them!
Another reliable TDK product - Review written on July 04, 2006

I have settled on using TDK CDR's with my stand-alone audio recorder (Sony) and they have not given me any problems. My oldest are now only four years old but I have not yet noticed any "bronzing" of discs. I also prefer this product because TDK have not covered the disc surface with their logo. I think Memorex do that and I find it a little irritating. TDK use the smallest, subtle printing leaving me plenty of room to write my music program. Remember to always use a felt tip pen!
TDK Music CD-R's...where are you going? - Review written on December 28, 2005

I totally agree with David's review. These Music CD-R's are the best. Out of all the recording I do, I've only had a few defective discs. I use these CD-R's with the computer and my TDK Recorder, which is hooked up to my stereo system, making transfer from vinyl, cassette and audio from video and DVD really easy. Other brands do not always work properly with the TDK Recorder, and sometimes do not work properly when recording via the computer's CD Writer.

Some of the benefits I like with the TDK Music CD-R's: The under side of the disc is silver, not blue. The top side of the discs (the white ones) are perfect for affixing CD Labels.

The problem is, TDK Music CD-R's are becomming harder and harder to find at your local stores, and even online. Visiting the TDK website, they only carry the Music CD-R's in 10 packs. Why?! TDK is a well known brand name here in the States. Why can't this product be easily found?

I always purchase in bulk (usually by 100 pack spindles). I urge anyone, that is searching for TDK Music CD-R's to buy up in bulk. Before you know it, they won't be found anywhere.

I own a high-end CD burner and these TDK discs are the only ones by a major manufacturer that I have never had trouble with. Can't say the same for Maxell or (especially) Memorex.
