The best hand-held hack saw that I have ever used. There are some jobs that I can do in less time than it takes to pull out the cordless reciprocating saw.

The DeWalt High Tension Hack Saw Frame is an excellent saw with some BIG improvements over my old one. This hacksaw was designed with the USER in mind. I like the quick blade changing mechanism. No more wondering where my extra blades are. Now, with the convenient hacksaw blade storage, I'll know right where my DEWALT Hack Saw Blades are. The tension knob makes it easy to fine tune the blade tension for each cutting project. You get nice clean cuts at both 45 and 90 degree angles. The removable hand guard is a great safety feature especially when the hacksaw is in my DEWALT Heavy Duty Ballistic Nylon Tool Bag. No chance of getting cut while reaching for it. The grips are great to use and very comfortable for my hands. Simply by holding it in your hands you can tell it's a keeper. Works like a champ. Frankly, I like everything about it. ~ The Boss

This is a very durable hack saw. It holds the blade securely without twisting. I also like the blade storage in the handle. The hand guard is a great safety feature as well. Great hack saw.

I picked this saw up at my local Farm & Fleet store for about $17. After taking it home and performing about a dozen test cuts in wood, metal, and plastic I felt it was a pretty good saw. Now that I have used it for over a year for various home improvement jobs I am here to say that this is a great saw. The blade changing/tensioning mechanism is fast and simple and it is easy to use. The frame is strong, the grips are very comfortable, and the DeWalt blade that came with the saw is good and sharp. I had no problem cutting any of the materials I threw at this thing. I also feel that the hand guard is a good idea (it protects your hand at that point of "breakthrough" in the end of a cut).

I highly recommend this item to anyone with a need for a quality hacksaw.
