If you want to laugh all night with your family and friends, you have to get this game. You do things that you never thought you would do or see other people do. What a blast!

This game is right up my 6yr old son's alley. There are all kinds of gross facts that he is actually retaining. Your child would not have to be into science to get this. It is like no other game we have played before. And he has asked to play it several times in the last 3 days...that is a miracle that it is not in the game closet with the others!

One of my kids (7 y.o. twin boys) liked this game better than the other, but both find it fairly entertaining. It took them awhile to get used to the idea that you wouldn't be expected to know the answers to some of the questions. A lot of the questions are the kind of thing you would have to guess at, no matter how much science you know.

I was looking for a fun way to talk about science-y subjects and this game definitely fit the bill. It definitely has some "potty humor" so it's not for everyone. However, my kids are greatly entertained by such humor (akin to "Capt Underpants", their favorite books) so it's great for us.

This game is a great gift idea. I purchased it for my two nephews (ages 9 and 6) who have enjoyed playing it several times since then. Maybe its because they are boys and as we all know, boys love to talk about "gross stuff" but my sister-in-law has even commented about how they've applied what they've learned from the game into everyday conversations. They now think that science is cool. Imagine that! I highly recommend this game.

This game is great and well, gross. It's a great game for family game night. Your kids will learn about science in a fun way and they don't stop laughing. Example, How many ounces of air is in a fart? You get the idea.

While I was reluctant to purchase a game glorifying grossness--I'm glad I did. Not only is the game very high-quality and well made, the facts that children (and adults) are learning along the way are a fantastic science primer. Off the top of my head, I can think of one such fact--that cows and sheep burp methane gas which is harmful to the environment. I highly recommend this game--my children are 11 and 8, the questions are such that there is an advanced, medium and beginner level on each card. That way, you can have various ages playing together with each being challenged but not discouraged.

This games is a fun experience but played with boys the "goo" becomes quite a distraction!!! Some of the facts are "gross" but never too bazzar but definitely enlighten you. The younger children get a little bored but if you can keep the goo from poeples hands the game moves along well.

I gave this game to two of my nephews for Christmas. Evidently the game is more about defication than learning about science. I'm so disgusted that I was lead astray by the other reviews, which were probably posted by "professional reviewers" that were paid for their "positive reviews". I will be returning the games, hopefully for a full refund. The box exterior is also misleading....I couldn't wait to play this game with my nephews...now Aunt Michelle's presents are going to be subject to parental review! THANKS AMAZON!

What a fun game! I bought this for my 6 1/2 year old and we are having a blast with it. It is very educational and the slime makes it reallly fun. The slime is very easy to use and not messy. We just put it right back in its container when we are done. My son can't read all of the words on the cards to me when we play so he just spells to me what he can't read that so that can ask me the questions.

I have purchased over 4 as gifts during the holidays and birthday present. It's a fun way to have children involved or take interest in Science. I would and have recommended this as a gift to others. It will be on my holiday list once again this year
Makes Learning Fun, and Only Slightly Gross - Review written on March 05, 2006

My son received this game for his sixth birthday, and loved it. It's very much on a kid's level, although adults can learn a lot, too (who knew you couldn't hum while pinching your nose? OK, I've never been adventurous, but it demonstrates a biological point in a way that kids will understand and remember). The slime isn't really gross, and the grossouts aren't disgusting. It's all good fun, and your kids, and you, will learn a lot. It's excellent.
Addendum: I should add something I have discovered about the slime--don't let it get on your carpet, as it is very hard to remove. The game is still great, but be careful with the slime. Not gross, but the potential for messiness is there.

We've enjoyed this game. It's great for laughs! Our only complaint is that the goo which came with the game didn't really stretch.

My then 8-year-old daughter received Totally Gross from her "gross" uncle (he tries to outdo himself each year). This was a VERY successful gift. We've enjoyed playing it with her, as has her grandfather, and her uncle. And we learned science facts in the process! The experiments to win are fun, and even the "slime" to mark your place is a hit. She's 10 now, and she still loves to play Totally Gross!

Although some of the questions/answers in this game are not educational, overall, I found this item to be great fun for the whole family. The questions have a range of difficulty, so when we play it with our 7 year old, he can answer some, and we adults don't get bored because we find others interesting. Some items are inappropriate, but we just omit those and ask another question or do another task that appears on the same card.
I would recommend this game to all parents who frequently play with their children, and are looking for something unique and fun for them, as well as the children.

We bought the "Totally Gross" game for our son for a Christmas gift. When we looked at the game, we thought we were getting an educational game about science.

What we didn't know was that we got a game about rude behaviors.

After looking at the all cards, I was in shock. The number of body functions that are talke about is inappropraite. Also telling kids to stick fingers into their ears and into their mouths can be a health hazard. Telling the kids on the cards not to put their finger into their ear "too far" and to make sure they have "clean hands" before sticking their fingers into their mouths was a nice gesture BUT kids will be kids and do they really know when too far is enough or does it take a trip to the ER for a puncture ear drum!

I thought, surely there can't be that many cards with such offensive material so I started removing the offensive ones. I stopped at about 15 and decided the game is very inappropriate.

I'm not sure how this game has ANYTHING to do with the "major science disciplines", as quote on the box! I do not recommend this game to anyone unless you want your son running around telling everyone he needs to go "drain the lizard" when he needs to pee.

My two boys (ages 9 and 7) cannot stop giggling when playing this game. They love the gross questions, the silly "dares," and the neat experiments. Meanwhile, they are learning interesting facts the whole time with brief explanations to boot. I enjoy playing with them as well! Defineitely a good game. We received as present, and I plan to give as a gift as well!

Real life bodily functions (almost all of them) and other gross stuff are brought to light in an educational game. Compete with friends, "gross" them out, complete a science experiment and win the game! Though you may not agree that the subject matters are acceptable in polite society, this game is a blast to play. 5 stars for a fun time, educational about snot, vomit, toe jam, ear crud and stuff like that and 5 stars for durability !!

My oldest son, age 10, along with his best friend, 10, started playing this game. Within minutes, they were in hysterics, doing the things the game told them to do and learning all the way. My 8 year old son joined in and he too had a blast. The questions challenged them to think about things differently, to try out new things, and of course, to use science as part of their everyday life. The directions were easy to understand, the board itself a visual delight, the goop an added bonus (as far as they were concerned) and the resulting laughter was worth every penny spent on this game. I recommend it highly--so does my son who wants to purchase it as a birthday present for his other friends!
