I got a T-Fal set when I first married. I've now been married twelve years. In that time, I've tried another Calphalon set which I paid many times more for. I now go back to my original T-Fal set. It cooks better and the non-stick finish has held up better. I guess you don't always get what you paid for. I'm going to buy another T-Fal set soon. It's much better than the Calphalon and much more affordable.
Thanks T-Fal for making such an affordable and usable cookware set.

Great Pans....Great Price - Review written on February 05, 2005

My husband and I bought some T-Fal pans when we first got married and we were suspicious of the quality because the price was so cheap. But it's been a year and the pans still work GREAT. They are SOOOOOO EASY TO CLEAN and NOTHING ever gets stuck. It's great.
And, about the metal utensils, of course you shouldn't use metal on non-stick pans. I use plastic utensils and it works fine. Of course, you can use metal, but just like any other non-stick pan, the non-stick coating will start to wear away over time.
Anyway, the point is....these are GREAT pans and they work WONDERFUL. Why pay three times as much for a fancy designer name when you can buy these for a REASONABLE PRICE. You won't be disappointed with these pans.
Bad Product - Review written on December 26, 2003

I am writing this review after buying a new cookset to replace this very one. The lids to the set fell apart and so are the pans. I've only had it a year and a half! I bought it because it was T-Fal and I thought that it would be a good product. Don't waste your money!

I HAVE HAD T-FAL FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS, AND THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IS PEOPLE NOT RETURNING IT. YES, SOMETIMES THE OUTSIDE COLOR DISCOLORS,BUT THAT USALLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU OVER HEAT IT.I HAVE ALSO USED METAL FORKS, SPOONS, AND KNIFES. AND AFTER SO LONG THE T-FAL SCRATCHES, BUT IS STILL USABLE. I WILL NOT USE ANY OTHER COOK WARE. I AM VERY TOUGH ON MY POTS AND PANS, AND T-FAL IS WORTH THE PRICE!!

I have had my T-FAL set for several years and the only problem I have had is my son! He has scratched 2 of my pieces. The large sauce pot and the large skillet. I still am able to use them, but I have to spray the skillet now. Even with the scratches though there has been no flaking. If you get T-FAL I think you will enjoy using it.

I have had the T-Fal set for years. While the teflon coating has held up well, the black enamel exterior coating turned to an ugly brown after normal washing. I don't know if T-Fal has addressed this problem yet. Just be prepared if you're into color coordination.
2 year lifespan - Review written on October 01, 2003

I've owned t-fal for many years and have found that the average set of pans, with regular use, last about 2-3 years. They are great non-stick pans and you can always buy a replacement frying pan at Target, but the downside is that I have not found replacement saucepans (which I use the most). They are worth the money you pay for them since they only last a few years. But if you're looking for something for a lifetime...try something else.
Teflon Problem - Review written on September 14, 2003

I got this for a christmas gift from my mother-in-law. We had this cookware set less than a year and the teflon just started to peel off, we used the plastic utensils that came with it and they melt. This is the worst cookware set I have ever had. I would not recommend this product to anyone, or if it is given as a gift take it back and swap for another one.
I love this stuff - Review written on June 04, 2003

I am so happy with this cookware. We have always had the cheap stuff and cooking is usually a pain. I have cooked more in the last week then in the last month. I love it and can't wait to get more. Not only does it work like a charm and on lower heat even, but we just moved into a place with very little cupboard or storage space and I am proud to have it out for all to see. I would recommend this cookware to anyone.
5 qt Dutch Oven is [no good] - Review written on March 21, 2003

I received this set of pots and pans a Christmas gift from my fiance's grandmother. The dutch oven has been used 2 times with plastic utensils but now the tephlon (spelling?) is bubbled. The finish on it hasn't flaked off yet but it has severe bubbles and cracks. The rest of the pots and pans are perfect but what is the problem with this one. I am quite disturbed by the fact that something would be ruined so quickly! ....

I have been using t-fal since its appearance in the US market. They are reasonable priced. They are excellent quality ( I have had them for a very long time). They are light, which makes, specially the frying pans, easy to handle. They are very easy to clean and I am looking now for baking sheets.
