This is my favorite magazine EVER! - Review written on April 23, 2007

The first time I read Entrepreneur Magazine, I was delighted. I thought, "These are my people! They think like I do, they are creative like I am, and they are determined to succeed like I am."
I read so many stories about people who walked away from their regular jobs and lives to pursue their passion. I related to their stories because I had done the same. I resigned from my advertising sales job to publish my book, The Art of the Business Lunch: Building Relationships Between 12 And 2. I didn't know what the future would hold - but after many years, I am a successful, professional speaker and author. My book is now published in EIGHT languages worldwide.
I love to read about the latest techno-gadgets and use Entrepreneur's great reviews when deciding on new equipment for my home office. I get inspired and impassioned for my work when I read about the people behind the small start-ups that have become tremendous - and I read every word to learn tips so that I can grow my business as well.
If you want to quit the rat race, subscribe now! You will be hooked and want to become an Entrepreneur.
The Many Challenges of Business Ownership - Review written on October 01, 2005

Entrepreneur magazine is one of my favorite business publications and it's the type of magazine I can count on for up- to- date information on business startups and for possible resolutions of common problems to the small business owner. A monthly publication, this magazine is designed to appeal to those who are presently owners of a small enterprise or who aspire to open their own business in the near future.
What I enjoy most about this magazine are its personal articles- stories about ordinary people like you and me who have successfully started a new business venture. These people share their success stories with the reader, offering insight on what strategies helped them reach their present level of success and what challenges they still face. The people featured in the articles are more down to earth types who own smaller companies, making the magazine more realistic and something I and others can better relate to. Many other business magazines spend too much time interviewing billionaire CEO's and others who, while they may have some interesting stories to share, live lifestyles and have problems that only someone of their stature can relate.
On the practical side, Entrepreneur contains many timely articles about common issues/problems/challenges that arise when you own your own company. Money, marketing, management, and other key topics are covered in each issue, with a regular department for these critical aspects of business ownership. In these sections, you can learn about tax law changes, legal issues with benefits, and other related topics.
Entrepreneur organizes each issue quite nicely, with colored tabs on the pages that indicate which section (money, technology, marketing, etc.) they pertain to. This makes it that much easier to sift through, to find the information you need. And there is a section titled "Sources" that helps to index the different services and companies mentioned in each issue.
Overall, this is a useful, practical magazine that can come in very handy for present business owners and for those who have an interest in proprietorship. It keeps business owners up to date with the latest changes in laws and it offers some creative solutions to the everyday problems that small businesses encounter each day.
Lots of ads, but good tips too - Review written on July 16, 2005

It's true that Entrepreneur mag is loaded with ads--but those ads can be interesting in themselves. I always find it fascinating to see what ads pop and what ads are junk--and it's easy to see the difference. This is an opportunity to develop your own advertising strategy!
As for the content, there is certainly room for improvement. I personally enjoy the entrepreneur profiles, though I wish they were longer. I would like to see more meat here.
Having been in business for several years now, I find the most value in this magazine comes from the front section where they list interesting tips, new products, and survey results. Not a month goes by that I don't bookmark a page so I can follow up on a new product or check out a website mentioned in a short piece.
For that alone, the low subscription price is worth the investment.
There is a lot of information on franchising, which is great for those interested in this business model. Though this is not my personal cup of tea, I still find it interesting to read the lists of franchises and notice the trends in popularity. Who knew there were so many pet service franchises available!
Sure, it could use more real-world advice, but I still consider this one of the best general magazines available for entrepreneurs. Not every topic can appeal to every reader since we all run different kinds of businesses and seek different information. If you're looking for something more specific to your industry, a trade magazine would make more sense. But I still recommend you keep your Entrepreneur mag too so you can keep an eye on the climate of the small biz world.
Unless you want a stack of useless info... - Review written on December 28, 2003

It's funny because I didn't realize how useless this magazine is for me until i read some of the other reviews here. I'm about half-way through an already paid for 2-year subscription to this magazine. I always make sure to keep my copy of each issue because somehow it feels like it holds some important information that will propel me forward as an entrepreneur. I have their website listed in my Favorites. Cause I'm a big time businessman who gets a magazine called "Entrepreneur" for entrepreneurs like myself. Yeah right! The truth of the matter is the magazines are perfectly stacked and in mint condition because as soon as I've flipped through it once, subconsciously I realize there's nothing of value there. A lot of ads with get-rich quick schemes. A list of 500 franchises. Blah blah blah.
Business 2.0, Wired, Inc., Fast Company, Investor's Business Daily, The Wall Street Journal. These are the business magazines and newspapers that give today's entrpreneur a thorough guide to "the jungle".
Entrepreneur? Just a fancy-sounding title. And soon to be a stack in the recycle bin.
And as far as motivation goes, I get more by flipping through an issue of Robb Report than I have ever gotten by reading any one article in Entrepreneur.
Entertainment value only. - Review written on November 16, 2002

I recommend this magazine for beginners looking to to re-light that entrepreneurial spirit. This magazine is not for people who are already a little knowledgeable in business and entrepreneurship.
Although in the last few years they've tried to revamp themselves to be more than a "get rich quick" rag, Entrepreneur is not a spectacular, fresh, or innovative magazine to be pedestaled or held in high regard. Any one with the littlest ounce of business acumen will quickly find Entrepreneur Magazine to be rehashed business topics and fluffy entertainment.
I'm a business magazine junkie. As I read the magazines, I tear out any useful information I may want to read again later. I rarely find anything I don't know about in Entrepreneur, and I usually read the magazine in twenty to fourty minutes. Usually, I feel I wasted my time.
If you're looking for a magazine of entrepreneurial entertainment and personal stories, get Entrepreneur.
If you're looking for a magazine full of hours of spectacular information and knowledge, get yourself a subscription to Business 2.0 (in my opinion, the best in this genre).
The best thing about business and trade magazines is that they may be tax deductible as a business expense. (Of course, check with your tax advisor first.)
From Entertainment to Education, this Magazine Beats All - Review written on February 28, 2002

If you have any business interest or any entrepreneurial flame, this magazine is for you. Each month Entrepreneur comes out with incredible content that will keep you reading for hours.
Unlike most magazines in which you may read a couple articles, Entrepreneur has succeeded in making virtually 90% of each issue worthwhile.
As a small business owner, a student, and an Entrepreneur by heart, I give this magazine 5 stars, hands down.
