I'd used rotary-style shavers for 25 years. Now after 4 months of trying braun foil-style, I am still not used to it. The spots that have been the easiest with rotary, need lots of back and forth shaving and at the end I still see unshaved patches.

The description of these saver refills was not clear.
I wound up ordering two boxes because by the time I got to check out there was no description that told me there were 3 refills in each box you ordered. It was also unclear, even after nearly two hours of searching the web, that these refills were the right refills for my shaver. I wound up with 2 boxes that contain 3 refills in each box, not what I wanted.

Now for the good news; These refills work for several of Braun's shavers and were exactly right for my shaver. My Dad has an older version of this shaver and they work in his shaver so one box worked as a great gift.

Braun should make it clearer which shavers, by model number, work with these refills in all descriptions of these refills on the box and on the web. This was unclear on Braun's web site in all the descriptions of their shavers and was unclear in every description I read on the web.

YOU GET 3 REFILLS IN EACH BOX YOU ORDER. This needs to be clear in the description.

It is a good deal if you subscribe these refilled to come to your house once every 6 months or so. The shipping is free and price is cheaper. If you have the shaver that needs it, I suggest you get these refills, it will leave your shaver lemony clean! My husband likes it a lot.

No need to say this is the product I wanted. Buying was quick and easy. I received the refills in approx. 1 week. Would definately do business with this company again.

Any time I stop to gripe about the cost of these Braun Syncro refills, I think back to my Mach 3 Turbo straight edge days. I would take a 3 pack of these over expensive blade replacements and shaving cream any day. I find these generally last a little over a month with daily cleaning Monday - Friday. A $65-70 a year estimate is fair, which boils down to about $5.50 a month.

While I am frequently able to find these refills at CVS & Target, there have been a number of times when they were out/unavailable. Also I have sometimes been limited to the 2 pack. The prices on Amazon are competitive and I tend to order them when I'm down to my last one so I'm ready when the cleaning stand's red light goes on.

The alcohol solution has a light lemon scent and an oily consistency. I would always be careful where you keep the stand in the event of a leak. I have had no problems with it, but I could see a spill being a big mess. Also, I have a relatively sensitive neck when it comes to shaving and the solution has not added any noticeable irritation.

Since I bought a Braun shaver with self cleaning system I have gained more time. Simply insert refill and you will never have to struggle with washing and lubricating your shaver again. These refills will do it for you and after cleaning is over your shaver is: sharp, clean, smells like a fresh lemon :-) and ready to do its job!!!

This is a great product. Having the auto-ship option from Amazon means that my husband never runs out. This is one less thing I have to remember. The self cleaning shaver is the best idea since sliced bread. People don't take care of things like they used to and this is one thing that takes care of itself.

This shaver/refill works really good. Easy to clean/maintain, just a little pricey. We've had this razor for several years and it's still working great.

I've had this Braun for about 18 months and am very pleased with it. The cleaning system keeps the heads clean, and makes keeping them clean a breeze. The refills are easy to use, and the cost for 3 of them, which lasts me about 9 months, are reasonably priced. And, they do have a pleasant smell to them. So, shoving the razor around on my face isn't quite as much of a chore with the nice smell.

This is the replacement cleaning cartridge for Braun's line of automatic cleaning stand for their electric razors. This cartridge will fit even the early model Syncros, all the way to the latest Pulsonics.

I have not tried any of the newer Braun models, as my 7-year-old Syncro is still going strong. However, be assured that they all use the same cleaning cartridge, even though the newer models have an improved cleaning stand.

The cleaning system works great. It cleans, dries, and lubricates the razor. However, bear in mind that the cleaner is alcohol-based. Meaning it will eventually evaporate. It starts to evaporate as soon as you open the seal. Each cartridge will last approximately one month. So your cost to keep your razor clean and lubricated, automatically, works out to about five dollars every month. That's not so bad, considering that shaving with a blade will cost you money in hot water use, shaving cream, and replacement blades. I would say that perhaps the electric razor might come out cheaper. You can be like me and simply clean your razor manually. That's even more cost-effective. But still, it is nice to be able to simply use your razor, place it in the cleaning stand, and then have it ready for you the next day, with no effort on your part.

If you have a Braun cleaning system and you want to use it, this is your only option. So it really doesn't make a difference whether I recommend it or not (I do). As should be the case, you've chosen your system based on the quality of shave it gives you.

The Braun Syncro shaver works great and the cleaning system seems to work, it's not just a gimmick. The solution lasts longer than stated. Refills were easy to order, decent price, and quick ship.

This product was difficult to find in stores but it is the only one that keeps my shaver really clean. Since I started using the auto shipping I'll never run out.

If you want your shaver to give you a close shave, you have to keep it clean. So by keeping the cleaning system full and ready to go, you can keep it clean. You get three refills, so you don't have to reorder anytime soon.

I have had this shaving system for over a year. It has worked perfectly and has stayed clean due to these little refills. They are quick and easy to replace, you just have to be careful not to spill when opening the new one. The only drawback I have is that they only last about a month or so.

I have been using Braun shavers pretty much since I started shaving. I tried Norelco a few times (my old man is a big fan) but for me the foil shaver is the way to go. I now have one of Braun's later models that uses the Clean & Renew base and I could not be happier with it. Pop the shaver in for about an hour (I'm not sure how long the actual cycle is, I just set it and go) and the razor comes out like new. It smells great and shaves better too. I purchased these cartridge refills from Amazon because they offer the best price of anyone else. I ordered the 3 refills and got a 3-month subscription (which made it even cheaper), figuring I will go through about one cartridge per month. I do wish the cartridges cost less, and I keep reading that if you plug the cover back into it you can make them last longer, but either way they definitely do their job.

I have had the Braun system for like 5 years now...(how long will this battery hold out, I wonder?). This is the best price I have seen on these items, and I have ordered before on E Bay for more cost, so I really stocked up here. I use the cleaner one or twice a week. In between, you can just vibrate the debris out of the shaver with it turned on and the foil half open. I keep a can of aerosol lubricant cleaner spray handy to give a blast or 2 to the cutting heads so they wont dull up.( Remington Shaver Saver works great for this mid week tune up).

As far as using the cleaner daily as opposed to it evaporating...not a problem. Save the snap on cover that seals the cartridge..and snap it back on as soon as the cleaning cycle is over (or in the AM when you wake up). In other words, don't leave it open in the unit! Take it out of the unit and seal it, then set it in a drawer until you want to use it again. My cartridges last about 5 months, this way. So at the Amazon price...that is about a buck a month. As I say, I have done the Braun for at least 5 years and have replaced the cutting block once. I'll just be really bummed if the battery stops charging now that I have all this cleaning fluid stock piled..you know?

I got this shaver nearly 3 years ago as a first Father's Day gift. Before that, I had a Norelco rotary shaver. To be honest, I hated my Norelco shaver. Not only did it not shave closely, I also had to physically clean it with a brush regularly and after awhile it became a chore that seemed more of a hassle. With the Braun shaving/cleaning system, it shaves as close as a blade and I don't have to worry about taking it apart and clean the shaving head. All I have to do is put the shaver back in the base and press a button and it's taken care of. The cleaning solution is not cheap. But considering the alternative of having to spend the time and manually clean the shaver like I used to do with my old Norelco, it's worth the cost.

This is a very convenient item. It works quickly and neatly. It is easy to install and remove and takes up very little space. I recommend it.

Much easier (and much less costly) to just remove the top of the shaver and tap it slightly to empty the whiskers. Rinse under faucet if desired. Shaver does not always charge when sitting on the device. Have to remove it from the stand and hook it up to the charge cord. This is an idea whose time has not arrived. Went back to my Panasonic ES8003 which takes up far less space, is easier to clean and gives a better shave.

I have been using the Braun Syncro for about 4 years now and the cartridges were, always, around $24 for 3. I get them from Amazon for about half the price and don't pay shipping because I have a subscription. I think this is a great way to buy these.

Despite slightly pricey, still cheaper than a wet razor, shaving cream, etc. with better results. So convenient, worth it.

It's nice to receive the Clean & Renew Refills in the mail as needed. It's convenient, smart and oh so easy.

The best electric shaver in the world deserves nothing less!

I have the Braun 9595 (my first "real electric razor"). At first I was a little bummed out that I'd have to spend $15 on these "refills" that I would probably need every few weeks. Well, I was wrong on my assumptions to say the least!

1. The shaver gets super clean and smells great after a cleaning session.
2. The cleaning solution also lubricates the shaver thus increasing life.
3. The solution lasts about 2x as long as I thought it would.

I started using the shaver around March 7. I shave 2 times a day thanks to a super heavy beard that grows super fast. I have a 6 oclock shadow at 10:00am... So, I tried to use the cleaning solution once a day but ended up using it twice a day (I shave in the morning and at night). Just today (April 9 2008) the low light came on. That means 1 cleaning cartridge lasts a little over a month with 2 cleanings per day for me.

One thing I do that may help the life is after every single shave I take off the head - blow out the shaver and put the head under the faucet for 2-3 seconds. I know, why do this when you have a dedicated cleaning system, right? Well, for a $220 shaver, I'll do whatever I want. lol. Washing out the shaver head may have extended the life of the solution - I've seen this in other reviews as well.

Sign up for the subscription and the price will go down 15%. I set it to 3 months (about when I'll need more refills). Compare that to buying razor blades every month for $20 and shaving cream every few months - this is a savings.

I've used Braun shavers for donkey's years ever since I got one for Christmas years ago. I won't ever go back to a blade even if it does shave more closely, I just can't stand to think that I'm just a sneeze away from a free face peel.

Before Braun came up with this cash cow I was cleaning my Braun with a toothbrush every 2-3 shaves. I'm now doing the same with this system.

It's not cheap so I try to prolong the life span of it by "pre-cleaning" my shaver. I always open up the shaver and tap away the loose hair cuttings after every shave. This way, the cleaner fluid stays cleaner longer. And everyone is right, I don't think there's any way of preventing the fluid from evaporating, LOL, I think Braun made sure of that. Just make sure you don't park your cleaner in a hot area.

I also try to even out wear of my shaver by rotating the cutting blade and the foil since I always hold my shaver the same way.

And the reason why I don't give this cleaner a 5 star rating is that even though the fluid cleans the cutting blade fairly well, you still get hair cuttings left behind in cracks, outside of the foil assembly and even around the two screws under the cutting block and other places. So once in a while, I'll get out my trusty toothbrush again and give the whole shaver a thorough cleaning over.

But I do like this system. I like the clean scent and I like the thought that the alcohol will kill some of the bacteria that's always around.

What can I say - I own their shaver, so I need these.. Nothing to compare to, but they seem wo work just fine..
