Though more expensive than generic and non-Sony brands, it works the best. Moms and dads - do not go for the cheaper alternatives!!! They are almost guaranteed to malfunction.

I guess that it is noteable that in todays world something does exactly what you expect it to do. Simple to use, you plug it in and it saves games.

Was using some other card, max something or other and lost my stats twice.
Everything and had to start over, TWICE.. Bought this one and have not had a problem..

For my playstation I only had 1 memory card, and wanted to get another in case for extra games or what not. It never hurts to get another one. Ouch!! Boy did that hurt.

All you need to know is that this is a card that will save your progress on PS2 games. With plenty of memory you can take it to someone elses PS2 and load your progress onto it instead of internal memory which is just stuck to its own console.

you musst have it if you are going to take full advantage of your ps2
it is expensive for such a small amount of memory
i have used cheaper ones where you have to inset a CD before accessing your data every time so that gets old
does not work with ps3.. you would need an adaptor

Why go with the cheap after market brands when you can go with quality from Sony? Works very well with all my games. A little pricey but worth it.

I love this card has alot of space but I put it in my PS1 and clear it out so I can reuse it.

I bought this card because I was in need of more memory for my games. That's about all I can say about it. Except that, I bought Sony because they created the Playstation and the price at Amazon is cheaper than at Walmart.

Amazon.com asks me how much fun is this game but a Memory Card is NOT a game and it's not fun. A Memory Card is a GREAT piece of hardware for your PS2. A Memory Card works great all it does is save your games and thats its job. I have had my 2 Memory Cards ever since I got my first PS2 a long time ago. Memory Cards are tough and do not break easily unlike my first PS2. If you own a PS2 and don't have a Memory Card then you need to buy one NOW. I just wish the price would go down especially with the release of the PS3.

These are great to store your game save information for the long haul, I have game info in one of these for 4 years.

The memory card does what it was designed for, saving your game progress. It works just fine. Nothing more, nothing less.

How does Sony even justify that thes 8MB memory cards are still $20?!?! Thats the equivalent of storing 2 mp3 songs!!! Just look on this website for flash memory and you'll see that you can get a WHOLE GIGABYTE of data storage, even 2GB if you look. 8MB is still just one step above floppys. Talk about price control and screwwing the consumer! And you can't even use these things anywhere else. At least with the PS3 you can use other media (and over 8MB).

I've never really had trouble with my memory card. My advice is to leave it plugges into your PS2 as constantly removing it and plugging it back in can damage the card.

I got the memorycard a little late but seller did tell me they were tempererly sold out, so its understandable. the memorycard was new and works fine.

I am having a hard time writting a review on this product because I have not received it yet. I ordered it on Dec 26, 2006 and it is now Jan 30, 2007. When I contact the vendor they tell me to wait another couple of weeks?

Delivery was late for Christmas, but as it turned out it was only needed if you wanted to save before the game was over and wanted to continue that game where you left off.
