I got this Hopper to sit on while painting baseboards and doing all sorts of close to the floor projects around the house. I love it, and my kids love playing with it.

Gardening just got easier after receiving this hopper. The only flaw is the water bottle won't stay in its place. This little contraption is a must for life after 50 and well worth the price.

I am 72 years old and have trouble getting up and down from floor level. I don't do gardening but I do need something to help me stand and sit at or near the floor at times. This little jewel is a life saver for me. My computer modem is on the floor and this is ideal for me to clean it using this Garden Hopper. I have several shelves that are low to the floor and I can manage these with what I call my butty. I wish I had it when I did have a garden, it would have saved me a lot of unnecessary aches and pains.

This product is fantastic. It allows me to do some gardening without having to squat or sit on the ground. I have a bad back and this is really a luxury and reduces the pain I used to get from weeding. The height is great and I also use it indoors for cleaning floors and baseboards....it's uses are numerous. I recommend this to anyone that has problems squatting or getting up off the floor/ground.

I love gardening and was getting to the point where it was getting very painful to sit on the ground and get up. With the Step 2 Garden Hopper Mobile Garden Stool I am enjoying gardening more than ever. Very simple design and very inexpensive. You can store and carry all your garden tools and there's even a slot for a cold drink. Rolls very easily from one spot to the other and you don't even have to get up to do this.
Thank you for making gardening so much more enjoyable for me.

This garden stool is perfect for me to do weeding, planting, and trimming. I have reached an age where getting up and down to do those activities has gotten difficult, and with the use of this "just the right height" stool, I can now do them easily. It is well made and I believe will last a long, long time. It was just as described, and I am completely satisfied with the purchase.

I am happy with the stool except I would like to have the storage compartment air tight so I could leave all my tools in it and store it outdoors.

Does the job--keeps my knees out of the dirt.... - Review written on June 09, 2008

I have a hard time kneeling in the dirt for extended time periods. Hard to get old, I guess. My mom had one of the little garden stools years ago. Don't know what happened to it, so I got this one. It does keep my knees off out of the dirt, but I was disappointed in a couple of things.

It works great when weeding in grassy areas, but the tires just don't get traction on cement. I have a couple of flower beds in my front yard, where we have sidewalks. Can't use this thing there, as the cart just takes off from under me when it's on concrete. This happens when I lean forward. So this has become my backyard stool.

It's easy for your handtools to fall out of the storage compartment. It's shallow, so my trimmers won't stay in it when I pick up the stool. Also, the seat doesn't lift up to place utensils in the compartment, so you have to put them in from the side, and that's just a tad awkward.

On the positive side, the stool is lightweight--easy to move. It's like a lttle Tikes toy, cute.

I purchased this product for my mom to use when she gardens. It is a very sturdy stool, and doubles as a great push toy for my 2 year old! He seems to enjoy the stool much more than his grandma!

To all who love gardening, I appreciate my little stool w/wheels so much that I sent one to my Mom for Mother's Day. She has had two knee replacement surgerys and can not kneel. We both love the comfort and ease of gardening now. Thanks for a great product.

I bought this for my mom for mother's day. She gardens a lot and was glad to have this for back comfort. It's good quality and a good height. Only thing it's lacking is some kind of retractable handle so you could pull it behind you instead of lifting it each time.

Love this mobile garden stool. It's sturdy and is at just the right height to make digging in the dirt and getting up and down convenient. I love the fact that you can roll it along, too, without having to get up. It's well worth the money. It has a handy storage area for hand garden tools, too.

This would be good in a flower garden area where there are small places with a hard surface to roll on; but in a vegetable garden with soft dirt, it doesn't work very well. It's great to sit on to pull weeds; but then you have to get up and move it yourself to the next area that you want to work. It sure beats standing in a bent-over position pulling weeds.

This little thing works very well for what I bought it for: something to sit on while I work with my plants and garden that will roll as I work my way across the flower bed/garden. I'd like it better if the storage compartment was closed in so that I could leave it full of supplies, sitting outside, but I just put it under a table or in my potting shed and it does fine. Well worth the price.

I ordered one of these for $25.97 from Amazon just a few days ago, so I must have hit one of their specials. The fully assembled garden hopper arrived today and I love it! I am 5'7 and when I sit on the hopper I am at a great height to work in my raised bed gardens- which is exactly what I wanted the hopper for. I like getting off the ground and sitting on the garden hopper because when I was on the ground sitting on a rubber mat sometimes I would find that I got insects crawling on me. I think that is less likely to happen when my backside is sitting on the hopper rather than in the dirt. I also like the storage area underneath for drinks and tools. Sturdy but very light weight- this garden helper makes me happy and I bet you'll like it too! Highly recommended!

This is a very sturdy little item for yard work, but it is very low to the ground to be handy to sit on if you have any back problems or you carry any extra weight. Would be nice if it was a few inches taller. The storage compartment under the seat is kinda inaccessible, and it would be nice if the seat popped up so you could get to what you store in there. Would also be nice to have a "tongue" so that you could pull it along.

Great little garden helper. I had a different one that was too high, causing me to stand on my head when working in my garden. This one is lower and much more sturdy. The only inprovement would be a way to pull it along and maybe fatter tires. I'm going to drill a hole in the drink cup and attach a small rope but something ready made for those less handy would be nice. And I work in a vegetable garden so tires that move in dirt better would be nice. But at least I get to sit while I work. This company should make more gardening helpers.

It looks bigger in the picture and it is too small to do much with it. Ace Hardware sells some that are much nicer for about $5.00 more.

I bought this item for my wife to use in the yard because she has a bad back and has difficulty leaning over to plant flowers. It still hasn't made it outside! We've been using it in the house! It's ideal for both of us to sit on while we change diapers on our small children and play toys with them on the floor. It's fantastic for those of us who have diffuculty getting down on the floor and back up again. I might have to buy a second one for outside use.

There's only one problem with this stool - you can't leave it outside if there's any possibility of rain. The hole in the top leaks water down into the storage cabinet - bad news for rustable parts and garden gloves. I tuck mine under the eaves. That's OK for straight-down rain but no good for blowing rain. Otherwise it's great.

tools or gloves - or an extra can of Diet Pepsi.

Worth every penny...

I purchased this little stool with high hopes, and was very pleasantly surprised at how great it is! No more stiff legged, hunched over time after getting up from weeding. It has dramatically reduced my post-gardening ibuprofen consumption! This stool is sturdy enough to sit and scoot across uneven terrain, and stashes gardening tools in its belly for only one trip from the garage. My only complaint is that I have to hunt for it every time I get up, as my kids are quick to abscond with it for back yard races down the hill.

I'd give this product 10 stars!! I love it! Being born w/ CP,I had always had a problem getting up or down on my knees. I love being out in my garden but through the yrs. it was always difficult to plant or pull weeds. Then last year I sustained a serious knee injury that all but took away the joy I had out in my garden...UNTIL, I got this! I can now sit and roll along planting and/or pull weeds. I could kiss the inventor, it's wonderful! It's very sturdy and rolls very easy over grass. I keep all my tools there in the handy belly compartment; just reach in and get whetever you need.
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves gardening but has difficulty getting up & down. Buy it for yourself, or get it for someone as a gift.
