Once I purchased bottled water regulary, but amazing amount of empty bottle piled up everyday. I gave up the bottled water, because my apartment does not run recycling system. Now, I mostly use filtered tap water by Brita pitcher. About the replacement filter from Amazon.com, I think they always try to offer the best price. So,I'll purchase here for next time. :-)

This product works very well. I use these for filtering water in my water dispenser. It makes the water taste so much better. It really gets rid of all those nasty chemicals in the water. And they work for a couple of weeks, about two months. You just let them soak first in some water for about twenty minutes and you're all set.

The filters go with either the pitcher or the water dispensers, as long as they're made by Brita. I got the ten pack because I can save the most money without having to reorder them every couple of weeks.

It seemed fitting to purchase the Brita replacement filters when I purchased the slim pitcher for my son at college. He drinks a gallon or more of water each day, so he will definitely be changing the filter. He loves the pitcher and the filtration system is easy to change and use.

I bought it for my regular needs of filters and they are great, I got them very quickly than expected but I have to say that the packaging wasn't good for this item.

We've used these type of filters for years. We refill water bottles to help save the planet. The 10-pack is an economical way to buy them.

The product is good, the price is also ok BUT........ when you add the shipping, its no better than retail. I've order them twice on Amazon but won't again unless Amazon lowers its price to be competitive after shipping with retail.

I bought these to suppliment the bottled water my son and I were going through(it's amazing how much water a 17 yr old boy drinks even when he takes a couple of sips and opens another bottle because he forgot he had one open). Our water is hard and sometimes has a smell and since I've been going through cancer treatment I've been trying to be a little more concious of things like this. I've had these pitchers before, but something happened to it and I'm glad I eventually bought another. I recommend this highly if you have problems with your tap water, or if you have a well(which my paternal grandparents did on their farm). Much improved taste and believe me it's helped my costs on the bottled stuff.

this filters filter my water but not as good as the original I got in my pitcher. Seems like it uses a different material inside to make the job. My water taste still a little bad after filtering... I will try another kind next time and will not buy this one again. I wish theire was a way to know if it was an imitation of the original filters before buy this. Do not waster your money on this ones...
Standard, nothing too special - Review written on September 07, 2008

Since this was the only item in my order, Amazon shipped it in one of those padded envelopes. When I got it, there was a 1-1/2" tear on the center of the envelope and the box was deformed.

The filters themselves are okay. The black carbon bits still leak out sometimes but not enough to be bothersome. I don't know how this compares to PUR, but works well with me and I trust this brand.
Found it as expected with just some additional time in the flushing process for the carbon particles - Review written on August 31, 2008

Rating: 4 out of 5

I have been using the Brita filters for about 3 years now and have always found them working as expected. The flushing away process of the carbon particles is an exception to this.THis is the 1st time I bought the filters online. No complaints with shiping or packaging. But I noticed that removing the carbon particles (not completely though .. I don;t think anyone has been able to do that so far) before starting to use the filter took a little more time with this buy than I had to do with the store-purchased piece. Overall great satisfaction!!

We have really nasty tap water so it's great to simply fill up the Brita jar and have clean, great-tasting water whenever I want! It's best when it's a little cold, too. Thank you!

No problem with these filters; better price than in other stores - Review written on August 09, 2008

Of course if Amazon goes up on the price or takes away the free shipping it wouldn't be worth buying them here, just get them in your local store. I was a little worried that if I paid less for the filters that they would some how be faulty or defective but that wasn't the case. I've used one of the three and it works just as well as the others I have purchased in Walmart or Target. Change it at least every two months or more if you go through pitchers of water. My Brita pitcher has an indicator on it that helps me know when to change it but after awhile you can taste the difference and know that it's time to change filters. The filters I bought through Amazon seem to be lasting just as long as the others did. No complaints. :-)
You can use it up to 40 gallons - if you have the normal pitcher, that's 106 times - Review written on August 06, 2008

Rating: 5 out of 5

Think about it. If you're using a filter for 106 times, you're getting your money's worth. Or you can just use it until your tastebuds decide the water is gross again. Remember, it's a water filter, not a purifier. It says so on the package. All it's supposed to do is remove the things that aren't tasting good, and copper too.

There are other brands that you can use first to filter the water that take care of all the other things, like asbestos and stuff. I use one of those, and then to take care of lead, I end with the Brita pitcher. The one that takes care of many more things than Brita does is called ClearH20, and the only thing that it doesn't do is copper. Brita does.

Using both of them makes the water taste terrific. I'd never use Brita or the ClearH20 alone....both of them together create awesome flavor....but either one by itself, the water tastes poor.

I've purchased these filters at local grocery stores for awhile, and finally decided that I could probably get a lower price from Amazon.com, which was indeed the case. I have to give the product 4-stars, because I still think that they are WAY overpriced for what they are. Let's face it, it's a piece of plastic filled with granulated charcoal. How expensive could that be to produce? Not very. Nonetheless, I have still kept using them over all these years. Though I know that regular tap water should be fine to drink, I still feel better using the filter.

Replacement filters for my Brita pitcher always seem to be too expensive, but this three pack is a great deal even compared to the larger filter packs. The filters make my tap water taste great and it's much easier than buying bottled water. I recommend these filters.
10-pack always a better deal than the 3-pack - Review written on June 24, 2008

For those who gave up bottled water but want better taste than tap, Brita filtered water is a good option. In most places the 3-packs are way overpriced and the 10-packs are hard to find. Costco carries them but otherwise I have only found them online. As each one should be replaced in 2 months, this is nearly 2 years worth of filters. If you have a friend who also uses Brita, get the 10-pack and split the cost. (The box contains 2 boxes of 5 filters each, so there isn't even any fooling around with opening packaging). Gives each person 1 year's worth of filters at a decent per-filter price.

p.s. My only beef with Brita (Clorox-owned now)is that the filters are not recyclable. Supposedly the filters the company sells in Europe have been modified to be recyclable. They should do that here too.

we live in Phoenix AZ where the water is hard & tastes bad. we use the large 'counter top' water cooler and these Brita filters take all of the minerals & bad taste out of the water. if only we could get the restaurants to use these filters, it would be great!

Own a Brita? Do these fit yours? Then this is what it comes down to. Economy. Three here are cheaper than one.

I mark the box flap with the date I replace each filter, and two months later, I replace the old with the new. Three will get you six months. As you close in on month six, buy a new box.

Complicated? Not at all. If this three-pack is cheaper than at the megamart, buy them. Otherwise, get these here.

I fully recommend the Brita Pitcher Replacement Filters.

Brita filters make the water taste just like bottled water without the expense and without creating more waste to clog up our landfills. Additionally, using the brita filter is so easy, cost effective and you can get a real sense for contributing to reducing the number of water bottles in our landfills.

If you use the Brita, you must use the filters to perform their duty. I've used the Brita system for about 15 years, and feel confident it performs its job well. We have excellent water in our area anyway, but this removes chlorine and water taste is terrific. I usually let my pitcher fill up at least 3 more times than asked when preparing the system for use.

Buying from this merchant took the sticker shock out of buying brita filters. By buying this "bulk" amount, (4 of them), it came out to quite a bit cheaper than buying at the grocery store.

I have been using my Brita water pitcher for years and have always loved the result of great tasting water at a great price. When buying the filters here, be aware the larger packs are not always the cheapest per unit. When I looked to make my purchase, the 10 pack followed by the 3 pack were the cheapest per filter.

I received a five-pack of Brita filters less than a week after purchasing. I knew what I wanted, and got what I wanted.

Straight up, five filters. What more can I say? Beats tap water, especially for brewing tea, coffee.

Loose carbon is a natural effect during shipping, cannot complain since there is a warning of this on filter package. Cannot complain. Does not affect taste or contaminate water when pouring. Cannot complain. Five stars. Great Deal.

Saw it in Jewel-Osco at $9 each! I've been using this since I moved to Chicago. The water here can really kill without filtering.
