These are really great. Easy to put on easy to manuever about. They do shift around your knee and have to be straightened but otherwise work very well.
Not enough padding - Review written on August 12, 2006

I have used a pair of very similar kneepads for many years and love them. They look the same as these new ones but my old ones have the name "Bucket Boss" on them instead of "Fiskars." I was so excited to find these since I prefer this one strap design that allows me to get up and down and walk easily without removing them. Sad to say, while the design of these new ones is the same and they do stay on well, the padding is much thinner and I found that my knees hurt very quickly. I am disappointed because I really love the design. I guess I'll keep using my old battered ones until they completely fall apart and reserve these new ones for short stints only.

I purchased these after reading the previous owner reviews and after trying out a cheaper brand. I am glad to say I made a great comeback choice. I usually do not wirite product reviews, but these kneepads are awesome and deserve praise!

I am laying a new brick flowerbed retainer wall for my wife, which requires working below ground level for the footing and first course of bricks. These Fiskars pads provide excellent protection and do not choke the back of your knees thanks to the oversize, overwidth, velcro connection straps. I have bad knees from years of athletic and work-related abuse. These pads allow me to do harsh gardening and household projects with as much comfort as can be expected for an aging babyboomer. And, the price is almost inconsequential when you consider what you are getting. I highly recommend them.

Okay, that was clever!

I love these things. I thought I could skimp and not use knee pads out in the garden, but boy was I wrong. If you're going to be spending any amount of time on your knees (be it the garden or the Oval office...*cackle*), do yourself a favor and buy these.

These are comfortable and stay in place. I'm a bit worried if the elastic bands will hold up but so far...so good.

These are very comfortable, and I use them inside the house as well as the garden. They're great for when you have to get down on your knees to clean floors, grout, etc. I also plan on using them when I tile my bathroom floor. They do slip just a bit and need occasional adjusting, but if that's the price for comfort...so be it.

These knee pads are very effective. They are, as well, comfortable. The only draw back is the fact these devices are a bit bulky on smaller, petite legs.
Durable pads - horrible straps - Review written on February 27, 2004

Thee pads were great for me this past summer and fall. I used them to lay a cobblestone driveway. They really took a beating and the pads remained unscathed. The straps on the other hand are not so durable and one of the pads is near the end of its usefulness as the strap has almost seperated. To make matters worse, the neoprene does not breathe and your knees and backs of your legs will get sweaty in warm weather. All in all, a solid product that might not stand up to very hard use.

That about sums it up - these pads work great for any work in the garden or around the house. My only quibble is that you'll get pretty hot underneath the neoprene straps when working outdoors in the Summer.

My wife and I bought a pair of these pads in the Spring of this year. We are carpenters and organic gardeners so we have gone through countless pads in the past: gel types, hard caps, neoprene, latex, etc. All of latter have never met our needs nor fulfilled our expectations.

The Fiskars Kneepads Plus are lightweight and truly do conform to our knees. We work them on hard concrete, slate, marble, rough gravel, and clay soils in total comfort. We are both right-kneed (prosaic license)and have worn out so many Carharts that we could start a second-hand store! Now our jeans last for much longer so these pads can actually save you bucks!

The Fiskars Plus pads also stay up and do not wrap around our knees. The padding causes very little sweating and dries quickly. The elastic and hook-loop fasteners have sagged a bit after so much use but my better half is also a seamstress and has re-sewn them to new condition.

It is a rainy Autumn morning as we now head to the garden to harvest our crops before the frost....Fiskars strapped in place.

I'm a service tech for the local phone company. I spend a lot of time on my knees, stapling wire to base boards, crawling under houses, crawling in attics. These are the knee pads I use and I've used them about 2 years. These are light weight but have just enough padding to insulate your knee from rocks or hard surfaces. It's real strong suit is that when it's time to put them on or take them off, it's really easy and fast. Plus they stay on your knees(not migrating down towards your ankles). There are cushier pads around, and pads that insulate the rock shock better but they cost a lot more or they are time consuming to put on and take off. So for ease of use, cost, and reliability I don't think you can go wrong with these.

These pads are SO good, they could be deemed "presidential." I recently used them when broke my leg at the ankle. When I wasn't using crutches or a wheelchair, I was getting around by crawling around on my hands and knees like a six-month old. (haha, fooled you, where did you think I was going with that opening sentence, you naughty person, you?)

When I am back on my feet (literally) I intend to use these to clean the floors (not done in months) and to remove the traces of my garden which has been destroyed by the drought. Or use them while praying to the rain gods. They will be handy indeed.

This is a first for me- a kneepad that stays in place!
My try-out for these kneepads was scrubbing a tile floor
on my hands and knees and I got up and knelt down several
times, moving furniture, etc. They stayed in place the
entire time. I'm impressed! I highly recommend them though
I have not had them long enough to rate their durability.
If they last just a year they are well worth it.

Knee Pads Huh? You can only imagine what a young single guy like me is thinking when he picks up a nice pair of Knee Pads PLUS. You must be kidding! The fine folks at Amazon.com are going to let me do a review on kneepads! Here goes. Well, first of all the ergonomics are superb. I've done some plumbing work in crawl spaces before, and I'd gladly take these babies into battle if given the choice. You'll be glad you didn't skimp the first time you get jabbed or poked. While moving around rocks while on your knees you'd be suprised the damage that can be done. I found that the neoprene straps kept the pads in place for when I do my monthly gardening. That is very important where comfort is a big concern. Overall I'd have to say that the best feature is weight. Weighing in at under a pound your back will be glad when your lugging around a handful of tools.

As a young man working on a dirt farm in Texas I have plenty of things to worry about, my girlfriend, my one legged dog, my little sisters Jonnie and Chachi. So I don't really have time to worry about my knees getting scraped up when it's time to harvest the dirt. I tend to be on my hands and knees plenty during the dirt harvest as I dig up our bumper crop. Thank god for these knee pads though! My knees usually get all scraped and start bleeding but now that I have these nice pads that doesn't happen anymore. They also work really well after Mom waxes the floor I put them on and run then fall and slide on my knees, I can almost make it all the way across the kitchen!

These knee pads are great. Though my wife does most of the gardening I have found these pads have helped me. I use them while I'm on the job as a drywall finisher. I do a lot of kneeling throughout the day and the pads have not only helped my legs, but my back as well. They are very comfortable and do not need to be taken off when I'm in a standing position. I forget that I'm wearing them most of the time.
