Perfect Set of just the right stuff - Review written on July 15, 2008

Just the right assortment of bits/drivers needed. I bought this for my Dad who has pretty much all he needs. But he didn't have one, all-inclusive set that had everything, now he has one box that he can use anywhere, and add to later if needed.

The only thing that I've used in this set is the Compact Magnetic Drive Guide.

Reasonably good set, even though a little expensive. But that is what you pay for when you buy dewalt.
Nice Bit Set. Nice Price. - Review written on June 11, 2008

I've come to expect quality from DeWalt and these are no exception. As an active carpenter I use these daily and cannot get along at work without them. Rock solid 9/10.... (Nothings perfect!).
Dewalt (made in china) - Review written on June 05, 2008

This was a good deal - I got it for $13 shipped on a lightning deal. That is the only reason I bought it...not sure if it would really be worth anymore. The phillips bits seem to wear quickly and the screw sleeve just seems cheaply made. Not terrible, but I have used better stuff.

This is a good price for these screwdriver bits, and I like having the complete set in a handy and sturdy case.
There are a lot of duplicates. - Review written on May 16, 2008

Although this item is advertised as a 37-piece screwdriving and nutdriving set, there are a lot of identical pieces. I don't see why too many people would need TEN #2 phillips screw driver tips [unless the tool is poorly made and they wear out fast, I suppose]. There are only about 15 distinct unique items in this kit, plus the case. I'm used to tool kit sellers counting the case as a piece, but most tool kits I buy with N pieces have N-1 DISTINCT pieces plus the case.

His Favorite Screwdriver Is a Hammer - Review written on May 15, 2008

I'm hoping that this gift of DeWalt Screwdriving and Nutdriving set will encourage him to use that DeWalt screw driver more. He also has a habit of losing things-- especially (for some reason) the Phillip heads. The bright yellow case is easy to spot in a construction type setting so I hope he doesn't lose this one altogether.
PS The drive guide is going to be mine-- all mine.
Excellent Quality - Review written on May 09, 2008

I have had this set for several months now and have come to appreciate what others call "duplicates" as well as the perceived poor quality of the case. First off the duplicates in the case are the pieces you use the most, phillips bits. Because the tolerances of screws are not as tight as they should be I consistently round out either the head of the screw or the bit. The fact that this kit comes with several allows you to fit the bit tip to the screw. Second the longer bits are great for areas where a little extra length is required. I recently installed a hi-loft in my garage and the longer bits came in very handy and these bits don't normally come in a set this inexpensive. Lastly the case, the size of the case is perfect when I have a small job to do around the house and don't want to carry my 100 piece case around. The bits don't fall out of their holders like many bits in other cases. Yes they are a little snug and I have large hands so it can be difficult to get them out but I would prefer that to all of them falling out every time I open the case.
good product, clumsy case - Review written on February 23, 2008

DeWalt produces good products - I don't question that at all. I'm sure the drill bits will hold up for many years. It is a bit odd how difficult it is to load and unload the small drill bits from the case. I suppose the hard plastic into which the pieces lodge will become more flexible over time, but it seems that they could have designed a better enclosure.

I would not buy this set up again
It has too many of the same sizes
Poor Design - Review written on February 01, 2008

The plastic holding clips for the double ended bits are very poorly designed. They are so tight that the removal and insertion of the bits is so difficult that it makes the bits not worth using.
Most of the bits do not work with the DeWalt DW2505 3/8-Shaft Rapid Load Chuck.
The purchase was a major mistake.

If you can keep them away from your wife and kids it's the best set, lots of pieces and a good sturdy case.

I was going to get the 21 piece DW2161...but I figure for $8 more I get a better value. More items (in case of loss or wearout) and a magnetic driver which alone is already the price difference.

Make sure you really need this - Review written on October 18, 2001

Be aware that many of the items in this set are duplicates of each other. Also, there are only two nutdrivers. The screw guide is good, and it's smaller and easier to use than the one sold separately. Certainly, the quality seems excellent. But really think carefully about whether the two tips included with the screwdriver itself aren't sufficient, because this set just doesn't add that much.

Is a great tool for home or busines, with all the screwdrivers you ever need, with a real steel and easy to carry.
