Yes, I'm reviewing an Nsync CD....(3.5) - Review written on January 24, 2008

Fact: Nsync is better than the Backstreet Boys.
Now that I got that off my chest I can move on.
Much ado has been made about this CD, rightly described as Nsync's best CD. I still agree that it's the guys' best record, but it's hardly the masterpiece people make it out to be. Out of twelve tracks only five have stood the test of time incredibly well. The others, while not necessarily sounding dated, just aren't that good anymore. However, now that I'm completely comfortable in admitting that I do still like Nsync (I still maintain that I'll bring it back somehow), I do enjoy myself thoroughly when I hear No Strings Attached.
Which songs still please the ol' ears? Of course Bye Bye Bye does, that's a song that will prove to be one of the genre's defining songs. Then you have It's Gonna Be Me, thanks to Justin's demanding vocals. The obligatory mid-CD ballad, This I Promise You. Nsync is known for their dancefloor tracks, but I think amidst that the fact gets lost that they do ballads better than any boy band ever has. No Strings Attached is the next standout. The beat more or less makes the song what it is but the chorus is noteworthy as well. And finally you have That's When I'll Stop Loving You...another ballad. This I Promise You is great, but That's When...blows it out of the water.
Even though I don't really like the rest of the songs included, I have no problem listening to the entire CD. And while this clearly is a trend CD, there's enough good to warrant a listen--or purchase if you're like me--for those of us looking back at what we used to listen to. However, I never expected to change minds with this review, you've had your mind made up about this band since the day you first heard them. Oh well.

...well b/c these guys are horrible as a group (w/the exception of JC, who was the only guy in the group who could actually sing). i used to be a HUGE fan of nsync but thank God i got over 'em. i digged this CD out from my CD collection and boy was the reaction to it a huge difference? i realized i just wasted all the money spent on nsync but oh well that's not the point.
the point is -- these guys can't sing (as a group), don't write their own music, can't play instruments...and did i mention can't sing? and that's why they faded when the pop music mania faded. only the talented ones stay -- which is why the BSB are still here making music. this is coming from someone who liked nsync better back in the day. the truth is, if you go up to anyone who are not familiar w/these two bands (and thus not biased) and ask them which band sings better (either acapella or studio finished), chances are ppl will say BSB. just listen to them sing acapella live on the grammies. they both sang Bee Gee's "how deep is your love" and i gotta say they'r worlds different.
anyway, back to nsync. "no strings attached" sold 2.4 mil in the first week (impressive only at that time) and yes it was successful. however, that doesn't hide the fact that these guys as a group were just untalented. i can barely hear THEM in this album b/c every song was largely occupied by sounds of synthesizers -- so i guess they were just there to make up for the fact that nsync couldn't even sing a single song completely by themselves. this is where i question American's music industry. sure the record companies just want to make money, but did they actually just assume that ppl are deaf and ignorant?
What kind of music is this?? from start to finish, everything was so superficial and made up it's ridiculous. bottom line is -- nsync can't sing at all. it's such a pain in the butt to hear them sing -- another reason why they dance so much -- a cover up.
btw, props to that editorial review on the album info page...
When did The Spirit J*ck*ffs ever make a record? - Review written on July 29, 2006

Triple H: N'SYNC should be called XTINKT! Shawn Michaels: You got that right Triple H! Triple H: Is it me or does Justin look like Kenny of The Spirit Squad. Shawn Michaels: Yes and he sounds like him, a wuss who would get beaten up by D-GENERATION X! Triple H: Also, Bye Bye Bye and It's Gonna Be Me are as bad as eating a rotted tuna fish sandwich. Shawn Michaels: Also, Steve Miller should sue these losers and Left Eye's estate for stealing Space Cowboy from him! Triple H: What next, Bratney Sneers calling herself The Gangsteress of Love. Shawn Michaels: We don't have to worry about XTYNCT anymore as they are disbanded, especially after Lance admitted to loving things who had last names like Clark, Cheney, Embersol and Parry. If you are not down with D-X, WE GOT TWO WORDS FOR YA(crowd yells "S*CK IT!")!

THANK GOD ITS NOW 2006 AND NOT 2000. I'M 16 NOW AND I STILL REMEMBER HOW MUCH I HATED THEM WHEN THEY WERE VERY VERY VERY POPULAR BACK IN 2000 WHEN THIS WAS RELEASED. FIRST OF ALL THEY ARE NOT NOT NOT MUSICIANS SINCE MUSICIANS CAN PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, THEY'RE A BOY GROUP AIMED FOR 8-16 YEAR OLD GIRLS AND ALL THEY DO IS SING, I MEAN WHYNE OVER A MICROPHONE TO MAKE GIRLS WHITH NO LIFEE FALL FOR THEM. THEY'RE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF GREEDY COMPANY MANUFACTORED POSERS ONLY INSTRESTED FOR $$MONEY$$$$$, FAME, FORTUNE AND GIRLS, NOT GOOD MUSIC. THE ONLY REASON GIRLS LISTEN TO THEM IS BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY'R (NSTINK) SOOOO CUTE AND HOOTTTTTTTT. LET ME ASK U'ALL SONMETHING. IF NSTINK, I MEAN NSYNC LOOKED FAT, OBESE, DIRTY AND WORE OUTDATED CLOTHES BUT HAD THE SAME EXACT VOICE AND SANG THE SAME SONGS THEY DO, WOULD YOU BUY THEIR MUSIC? WOULD U GIRLS? THAT R PROBALY PISSED AT ME FOR WRITING THIS REVIEW. MUSIC IS A ABOUT TALENT, NOT LOOKS. AND BESIDES NSTINK'S VOICE SOUNDS VERY ELECTRONIC AND FAKE. I BET THEIR VOICE SUKS ALOT MORE LIVE. LISTEN TO TALENTED MUSICIANS INSTEAD OF THESE POSERS, THANK GOD THEY HAVE DIED OUT ALONG WITH OTHER TALENTED POSERS FROM 2000 (WACKSTREET GIRLS, GAYRON CARTER AND ESPECIALLY NSTINK), BUT UNFORTANTLY THERE'S NEW POSERS THESE DAYS SUCH AS THE TALENTLESS JESSE MCARTEY.

This is probably Nsync's best album. But it was a hard decision. Celebrity was a great all around album. Everything about it was done extremely well. But No Strings Attached is better because it was the birth of dirty pop.
With the first single, Bye Bye Bye, they show how much they have improved from their debut album. Then It Gonna Be Me was a great choice for the second single, as it was well receieved by the fans as it went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Space Cowboy is a very well done track. JC showed his talent as he wrote and produced this piece of work. A terific track. Just Got Paid was a great cover. Normally I like the original better, but Nsync's cover I thought was better than the original, as they put their own Nsync vibe into the song. It Makes Me Ill is one of the best tracks on this album. It's a fun up-tempo song and shows signs of improvment in their work. This I Promise You is one of the best ballads I've heard in a while. Richard Marx write one hell of a song and Nsync sounded amazing in it. No Strings Attached is a fun up-tempo song and the choreograpohy to this song is great. Digital Get-down is weird, but it grows on you. I didn't like it too much when I first heard it but now I love it. Bringin' Da Noise is a fun party song. I blast this one, it a fun song. That's When I'll Stop Loving You is another great ballad. Well-sung and the melody is great. I'll Be Good For You is a good song, it's the first song Justin ever wrote. I Thought She Knew is the first song Nsync ever sang together. I love this song. They sound great, it's acapella in 5 part harmony and is amazing. One of the best songs on No Strings Attached.
Overall, it is a good buy. I fell in love with it the moment I heard it and 5 years after I bought it I still love it. Every time I hear it I hear something new in the music.

Don't let other people scare you away, "eww! it's a boy band and they don't even play their own instruments! blah blah blah" And so what if they say "I" and "Baby" in every song! All that matters to me is the final product. And it's catchy! It's pumpin'! You'll sing along!
*NSYNC's music is faster paced than Backstreet Boys, but, that doesn't mean they can't have a ballad or 2. "This I Promise You" and "I Thought She Knew" slow things down a little bit from the uptempo "Bye Bye Bye", "Space Cowboy" [my favorite, despite the minor rap session at the end], and "No Strings Attached".
All in all, make the call yourself, be a fan of boybands if you want, this stuff is just good listening [of course you have to be in the right mood for it] but, if you're new to things [which i don't know how that's possible]--look at their Greatest Hits [yes, they had great hits back in the day!] collection

My how time flies. It seems as only yesterday I saw little Justin and that ugly guy that no one remembers his name on The Mouskateers. Now, all those boys have grown into menses and started their own little singing group. Flash foward until this release and you see how original and adult-like they have become.
Classic songs on this one include "Bye, Bye, Bye," and my personal favorite, "It's Gonna Be Me." Just like Aaron Carter these boys have swept my heart away with each harmonized and digitally processed note. This album brings sweet memories back and will never stop to do so. Alas, this is their last album of new material released before the solo albums and Justin got all perverted. I wish he'd get back to his wholesome roots and stop hanging out with Cameron Diaz.
Wake up and buy this cd.. it'll change you!
N'Sync ain't just for the ladies anymore! - Review written on August 12, 2005

This is an awesome CD. It shows N'Sync at its highest, and I heard many of the songs on the album when I was 12 and 13. A little piece of my past. Also, Justin Timberlake and the gang got into the year 2000 with a bang, even if it was 5 years ago. Anyway, here are my top 5 favorite songs on the album-N'Sync, No Strings Attached. Now-
1. It's Gonna Be Me-Just what I'd sing to a hot babe if she'd been cheated on by some loser of a man who cared for no one but himself.
2. Bye, Bye, Bye-A great song. Perfect for dumping if need be.
3. Bringing The Noise-Superb for a party with your friends.
4. No Strings Attached-Shows N'Sync's serious side. Good tune.
5. Digital Get Down-Where to begin? It's cool and rythmatic.
The other songs rock(most of them, anyway)and all in all, I most highly recommend this CD to anyone who likes pop or summer music.
A Bunch of Fake, Wannabe "Singers"!! - Review written on June 20, 2005

These wiggers, wannabe singing black, fake r&B called "pop", fake appealing, sexy wannabe idiots need to go sit down! I can't stand them, especially that idiot, wigger Justin! My brother has their albums and likes them and I have no idea why! I can't stand them, and they are nothing but wannabes that are trying to act and sing Black when they are not. Don't care how many albums they have sold and how many singles have gone to number #1, this does not mean talent. Just Look at this day and age-talent has nothing to do with selling albums, and selling albums has nothing to do with talent, as evidence by groups like this. It's all about packaging-attractiveness, good looks (though I don't think they have this, though some idiots out there do), and the right people behind you, the most imporant. A bunch of phony jackasses, all of them! Fake-me-out sexy, sensational "artists" who are nothing but silly clowns.
Good for 2000 - Review written on June 04, 2005

Based on hits ONLY, this album would get 4-5 stars. "Bye, Bye, Bye" and "Its Gonna Be Me" are infectious, and the album maintains a funky, danceable beat until track 6. After that it starts winding down. The acappella track only shows off their talent for singing wildly high notes in a girly manner (aka Chris/Justin) while songs like "i'll be good for you" and "digital get down" should never have made the cut. This album was good for 2000, and nsync brought about a more uptempo sound into boybands. Nonetheless, the boyband phase is over, would NOT have fared as well nowadays. 3 stars overall.
