Got this as a stocking stuffer for xmas. At first I thought "well its cute, but what good is it?" Found out that it is more useful than I thought it would be. Holds those pencils and pieces of chalk, I use for woodworking in my shop, that I use to have to search for. Now, (if I remember to put em back) I have em all in one central location. Did have to go to the local coffee cup store to find one that it would fit on. Most of my cups are of the large variety (fewer trips to the pot). It also has enough room to hold a small sliding caliper,a 6" rule, two small screwdrivers, three allen wrench's I use a lot, a small crescent wrench, a big pink eraser, and my spare pair of reading glasse's. May have to get another as this one is proving to be most useful. I can carry it from bench to work table and have all the small stuff handy in one container. Recommend this one.
You don't need it, but you must have it. - Review written on April 02, 2004

Two ugly coffee mugs will do the same job, but how cool is your accountant's logo and maybe a Local 1030 Environmental Workers of NJ mug gonna stack up to a BucketBoss?
Look, you worked hard to get off the jobsite and into a chair. You wear shirts with buttons. You have a slight crease in your pants. Your shoes are relatively clean. But you still remember eating lunch out of a box, wearing work boots, and having your own nicked-up hardhat. The BucketBoss lets people know you still know how to kick someone's behind for slacking on the job.
And it keeps the pens separated nicely from the pencils, and doesn't let the Sharpies get mixed up with either of them.

Great Way to Avoid Shuffling Papers Looking for the Pen - Review written on April 11, 2003

Most of the time my desk is cluttered with one job on top of the other. I keep thinking a credenza would solve that problem but it doesn't. The frustration is when you need a letter opener or a pen, and they are buried in the pile. Or I need the mini razor that slides back in the plastic holder. That baby really lays flat, and can get lost under most anything.
This Mug Boss is great for all of those problem. Pens, pencils, letter opener, and whatever else you may use on your desk, are always at the ready. It looks really cool. Has a handy look to it and hints that things are under control. Great material, sure to last a long time, and fits a standard size coffee mug.
It's cheap. Buy a few and give them out to your friends. It's an upfront desk reminder of you. Great conversation piece. I really don't see any down side to it. Makes a great compliment to the Bucket Boss, and the rest of the line. Highly recommended.
Mug Boss Bosses Your Desk's Clutter - Review written on December 15, 2002

The Mug Boss was given to me as a "gag" gift, but I have found it to be extremely useful. If you're the type of person who keeps an assortment of items on your desk (home or office), you'll really enjoy the Mug Boss.
The side pockets come in a variety of sizes. Markers, pens and pencils can all fit in this fun little gizmo. My Mug Boss holds the aforementioned as well as a couple of X-acto knives and 6 inch rulers.
Great gift for the person who has everything, your favourite contractor or even for yourself.

I am a civil engineer and my time is split about fifty-fifty between the office and construction sites. I am also one of the few females in the construction industry (the only one in my company, actually) and I find that this is a great ice-breaker... especially for clients who don't expect to see a female when they come to our office. In addition, it really is a useful little contraption.

Great for the Tools of MY Trade! - Review written on July 06, 2000

I am a Financial Advisor, so the "Mug Boss" on my desk is full of pens, pencils, highlighters and a big eraser. As a result, I have uncovered several other woodworkers in my client base when they notice it. I am an enthusiastic "other time" woodworker, so this reminds me of the pastime I love and helps me share it as I work.
I might have to try and find some miniature tools to slip in the pockets. I wonder if a prybar would work on portfolio allocation .....
