When I was ordering the regular Bucket Boss for my husband, this popped up and I had to order it for myself. It is the cutest thing and quite functional as well. To the guys, it's not too cute for you to use. I just love anything that can be shrunk down and still work. It is perfect for the desktop to hold all your doodads and whatnots. I have my crafting tools and even my cell phone for easy access. I love it so much I bought one for my friend who also crafts. Absolutley love it.

Gave the Mug Boss to co-workers. The guys loved it. Keeps their desk pen/pencil free and still looks manly. Two industrious thumbs up.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas one year ago with the BucketBoss Extreme Gear 01064 Fatback Bucket Organizer - it's nice for the desk top and keeps small tools organized ... mostly items you would use every day. I get more use out of it for my arts/crafts items such as: pliers, screw drivers, snips ...

I don't drink coffee ever since I got second degree burns on my uvula, but I still have that darn mug! The only prescription for my combination of a crippling throat injury and a messy desk is the Bucket Boss Brand 99981 Mug Boss! This thing is great -- just don't try to drink coffee out of it! Highly recommended!
Most useful... - Review written on January 27, 2005

Got this as a stocking stuffer for xmas. At first I thought "well its cute, but what good is it?" Found out that it is more useful than I thought it would be. Holds those pencils and pieces of chalk, I use for woodworking in my shop, that I use to have to search for. Now, (if I remember to put em back) I have em all in one central location. Did have to go to the local coffee cup store to find one that it would fit on. Most of my cups are of the large variety (fewer trips to the pot). It also has enough room to hold a small sliding caliper,a 6" rule, two small screwdrivers, three allen wrench's I use a lot, a small crescent wrench, a big pink eraser, and my spare pair of reading glasse's. May have to get another as this one is proving to be most useful. I can carry it from bench to work table and have all the small stuff handy in one container. Recommend this one.

Bought this at the same time that I bought my Bucket Boss 56 Organizer and I love 'em both!

At $5 it makes a great stocking stuffer for any Do-It-Yourselfer.

"Any 10 oz mug?" Sure, if it's a skinny one. The pockets? Most won't hold anything bigger than a pencil, and a tight sqeeze, there. Still, a great "guy thing" statement, which was much appreciated on Father's Day in our home. (Along with the actual *big* Bucket Boss, which we have yet to test out. Now, where was that bucket?)

Two ugly coffee mugs will do the same job, but how cool is your accountant's logo and maybe a Local 1030 Environmental Workers of NJ mug gonna stack up to a BucketBoss?

Look, you worked hard to get off the jobsite and into a chair. You wear shirts with buttons. You have a slight crease in your pants. Your shoes are relatively clean. But you still remember eating lunch out of a box, wearing work boots, and having your own nicked-up hardhat. The BucketBoss lets people know you still know how to kick someone's behind for slacking on the job.

And it keeps the pens separated nicely from the pencils, and doesn't let the Sharpies get mixed up with either of them.

Almost purchased this item until I realized that I was going to pay twice as much in shipping and handling as I would for the mug boss. The Mug Boss is cute but that isn't funny.

Asked for this off Amazon for my birthday; unfortunately, I got it. The two faults that make this item a gimmick: 1) It's not big enough for most coffee cups and 2) If if does fit, then there's not enought room in the mini-pockets for more than one pen or nail clip. It's nowhere as roomy, practical or space-saving as it's picture and description would suggest!

Most of the time my desk is cluttered with one job on top of the other. I keep thinking a credenza would solve that problem but it doesn't. The frustration is when you need a letter opener or a pen, and they are buried in the pile. Or I need the mini razor that slides back in the plastic holder. That baby really lays flat, and can get lost under most anything.
This Mug Boss is great for all of those problem. Pens, pencils, letter opener, and whatever else you may use on your desk, are always at the ready. It looks really cool. Has a handy look to it and hints that things are under control. Great material, sure to last a long time, and fits a standard size coffee mug.
It's cheap. Buy a few and give them out to your friends. It's an upfront desk reminder of you. Great conversation piece. I really don't see any down side to it. Makes a great compliment to the Bucket Boss, and the rest of the line. Highly recommended.

Yup, it's cute & funny & all that, but don't be fooled -- it's made to the same specs as the full-sized Bucket Brand products... so it's more durable than any pencil holder will ever need to be. Great gift item, I don't know why in the world they're being discontinued. Buy a dozen.

The Mug Boss was given to me as a "gag" gift, but I have found it to be extremely useful. If you're the type of person who keeps an assortment of items on your desk (home or office), you'll really enjoy the Mug Boss.

The side pockets come in a variety of sizes. Markers, pens and pencils can all fit in this fun little gizmo. My Mug Boss holds the aforementioned as well as a couple of X-acto knives and 6 inch rulers.

Great gift for the person who has everything, your favourite contractor or even for yourself.

I am a civil engineer and my time is split about fifty-fifty between the office and construction sites. I am also one of the few females in the construction industry (the only one in my company, actually) and I find that this is a great ice-breaker... especially for clients who don't expect to see a female when they come to our office. In addition, it really is a useful little contraption.

I have pretty much every current Bucket Boss item there is. My particular favorite is the Mug Boss. I have given SEVEN of the Mug Bosses as gifts and no one has been disappointed. My wife - the Graphic Designer, my five year old son - the typical little boy keeps crayons and round nose scissors in his, family friends including a college professor, a lawyer, the contractor who remodeled our house, our Realtor and YES even MY Mother!
Everyone can find a use for this thing! Overbuilt. Should last forever. Fun. Functional. What more can I say? Get one or a dozen!

I own many Bucket Boss products, so this one seemed fitting to add to my collection. It certainly lives up to the quality and satisfaction standards that Bucket Boss is known for! It also makes people look twice! The Mug Boss looks great in my office and completes the picture of a working man's desk! I also ordered one for a friend in the same business! Thanks Bucket Boss!!!

When I first saw this on amazon.com, I immediately purchased it. It's a great, sturdy gift for pencil pushers like myself. You can fit everything from scissors to staple removers in it. People have seen it on my desk and laughed. Makes a great gift...especially for those who are hard to shop for. Definitely worth the money.

I gave two of these as a gift to my fiancee who is part of the Bucket Boss faithful after he got a full size one from his sister for Christmas and used it extensively during our house remodelling project. He had never seen anything like it and immediately went looking for a mug so he could put it on his desk at home. The second went to work the next day and he says he still gets compliments on how cute it is.

Is this a supposed to be a joke? I was given one of these and it works great!! The BEST thing I like about it is that you can easily move all of your STUFF from one area of your desk to another or onto the floor etc. I still don't know if it is supposed to be a joke - but I love using it!!

I am a Financial Advisor, so the "Mug Boss" on my desk is full of pens, pencils, highlighters and a big eraser. As a result, I have uncovered several other woodworkers in my client base when they notice it. I am an enthusiastic "other time" woodworker, so this reminds me of the pastime I love and helps me share it as I work.

I might have to try and find some miniature tools to slip in the pockets. I wonder if a prybar would work on portfolio allocation .....

Clever little gift. Fits over any coffee mug or short glass and all your pens, pencils etc fit right in. Functional as well as clever. I bought one of these for each of the 25 office staff and they love them. Visitors to our office always ask where they can buy them. A great deal for only a couple bucks.
