great blade - Review written on February 06, 2006

I bought this blade based on reviews here after looking at several much more expensive blades. I've been using it to trim out a house in a very cheap (Delta MS250) mitre saw and it has really exceeded all my expectations. I've made hundreds of cuts in PFJ millwork with almost zero tearout. I've since bought a couple other Freud blades that I've been very happy with. I do have to say that I am a noob at this and my only other hands on experience is with the blades that came in my saws (all cheap ones!)
Decent Blade for crosscutting and plywood - Review written on January 19, 2004

I'd give this a 4.5 if I could. I only rates a 4 for crosscutting. It does a nice job, but nothing outstanding. For sheetgoods, however, it makes extremely nice cuts without any tearout. I've cut baltic birch plywood, MDF, MDO and perfect cuts every time. For these, I'd give it a 5.
Dang that's sweet! - Review written on July 11, 2002

I put this blade on my Craftsman radial arm saw and it completely changed the way I feel about that saw. Now the thing cuts like a hot knife through butter. The cross cuts leave end grain so smooth you'd swear you were feeling a sanded surface with the grain. Ok, maybe not that smooth, but still, pretty darn smooth. I haven't tried any other fancy or expensive blades, but this blade put my old cross cutting blades to shame. Highly recommended.
Cuts great but... - Review written on February 03, 2002

This blade makes cuts as smooth as glass and does not tend to splinter wood as some other blades do. The only problem is that sometimes it leaves red marks from the tefon on the piece of wood after it is cut. Makes you wonder if it is worth the exta cash.
Not worth the exra money - Review written on January 19, 2001

My complaint is not with the blade. It is a good blade for the money, but the Teflon ( DuPont or not ) hinders my rating. I was all set to buy this blade and called down to my local sharpening shop, who also sells Frued products. The guys there ( who have a good reputation locally ) said not to bother with a Teflon coated blade. He recommended the Frued LU91M010 ( the same blade w/o the red Teflon coating ). He said that frquently he notices that alot of carpenters have sanded the Teflon off around the arbor to keep it from slipping, and that uneven wear in the red Teflon is evidence of friction ( either because the blade is not true or the coating is not absolutely uniform) . Could be the saw he said, but not on as many as he has sharpened. The obvious side effect of of the uneven wear in the coating, is that likely that red coating is stuck to your trim & moldings. I was disappointed because I have come to appreciate Teflon coated router bits, but the pros usually know. I still bought Frued, it just isnt red.

This blade doesnt cost much, but it does do a good job. It produces clean, smooth as glass cuts time after time and lasts a while. I highly reccomend this blade for use on any miter or radial arm saw.
Outstanding Radial Arm Saw Blade - Review written on June 20, 2000

This blade has made me decide to keep my Radial Arm Saw instead of selling it. The negative hook made such a huge difference in reducing climb cutting that I wondered if it were too good to be true. The finish on the cut is glass smooth. If you have a radial arm or a sliding miter saw give this blade a try.
