This isn't the memory game I had purchased for our kids. The one we had used a game board tray with card sheets that lay in the tray under the lid(it had a lift up tray lid that had grids to expose the images). There were icons such as construction cones that covered the images up. So it was interactive and had numerous sheets to use so the kids never could memorize all of them. They loved that version of Memory.

As to this one. The grandkids have fun playing it for about thirty minutes then they become bored with it. We always make the amount of cards we play with at one time appropriate for the age of the kids, the older they are the more cards we layout.

I remember this game from when I was a kid. My daughter is 2 and we keep the pictures all facing up, and she finds the matches. She's getting so good at it that soon we'll have to play the right way!! It's a great way for a child to learn to look and pay attention to details and to be patient until she finds what she is looking for. Lots of fun for Mom and Dad too.

We play this frequently with our 5 year old grandson. He enjoys it and has played this also in his preschool. We have a good time with it and take it out to play quite often. I highly recommend this game to anyone.

My oldest son is 22 years old, and my youngest is 14. In between, we've had no less than three different versions of this game and it's a timeless classic. We're going to buy it for our granddaughter because of all the family fun it brings to our home.

You'll be amazed at how fast your toddler can actually WIN THIS GAME! The game tests a child's memory--which, surprisingly, is much better than mom's or dad's. This fabulous game is an excuse to bring the family together to test how well we can remember images, and the children almost always win. When they win, they gain self-esteem and adults earn respect for their skills. Even more important, perhaps, is the time spent together as a family.

The game's a timeless classic that should be in every home that has a child.

The cardboard pieces are hard enough that it takes a lot of teething on them to ruin them. THey do not bend easily. My only complaint about the pieces is they are a bit small. The small size makes it a bit difficult for small hands to manipulate them at times.

THere are many small pieces so if you loose one or two, you just take the match out of the pile and toss it away too. The game will be just as fun and no one will be the wiser.

In fact, when we play with our younger children, we often times just use half of the pieces.

THe game is the traditional memory game that almost everyone has played at one point in their life. It develops eye and hand coordination, following rules, taking turns, memory skills, picture skills and more.

Well worth the money.
Enjoy.

I had the original Memory game. This isn't it. The play of the game is the same, but mine had really cool pictures. This has silly cartoon pictures. It's not as nice.

I had this game when I was a child and I LOVED it. I never forgot this game and now I want to share it with my own children and relive the experience again.

With 72 cards (36 pairs)I think this is a little more than most 3 year olds can remember. I suggest using only part of the cards and gradually increasing the number of cards as the child gets older--otherwise, they may become frustrated and give up. I agree with the reviewer who suggested that the cards should be laminated. I am not sure how long they will hold up if used much. The pictures are all familiar objects that preschoolers will readily identify, and it's a great game for spending time together.

This is the Memory game you remember from your childhood, with updated pictures. My kids love it and have fun just playing with the bright and sturdy cards. No bells or whistles, just classic fun for the youngest set.

I think that for the average child that this is a good choice. If you have a special needs child (ADD/ADHD) this is really to much and takes to long. It also becomes a problem of the cards bending etc. To bad they are not laminated heavily. I'd pay extra just for the durability so my child could "grow" into it

Memory is one of my favorite games from my childhood. I still have my original game from the early 80's and it is in great shape!(I'm 25 now) This game is perfect for days when you want to amuse/educate the kids or even just be silly with friends. I am picking up 2 sets today...one for myself and one as a gift for my older sister. I think anyone, young or old, would get a kick out of this game. And at this low Amazon.com price, it's a great deal.
