These guys can sing! Such classic tunes...poignant, painful, heartfelt, soulful and deep. They touched me at the root back then and still do now! No classic soul collection is complete without Enchantment! There is but one fault with this collection---and that is that my favorite song by them "Forever More" isn't on it! But I won't deduct a star because I own it on another compilation and besides even without it...this is still a 5 star collection.

I love this album. This is one album that can be played continously without skipping. If anyone can help me find the song that goes "so wonderful is your love that I will cherish it forever more", it would be a great help. Happy listen!

Enchantment without a doubt did not get the recognition they deserved and still deserve. There is not another 70's act that can still perform like Enchantment. They are original members that can still sing and their choreography will 'enchant' you. Once you go to the "The Land of Enchantment" you will not want to return. Anyone looking for other Enchantment music should check out GEMM.com or start your search engines in June...Enchantment's website will be up and running by then!! Look for EnchantmentMusic.com!!

I feel that this is truly one of the all time greats for music, period. The way Enchantment has captured the essence of what I call real music is truly amazing. There is just something about that Gloria cut that just pierces right through your soul. I'm sure a lot of you have substituted Gloria for whoever was in your life at the time. By the way, Enchantment has two other songs that I have been trying to find but can't. They are I Can't Forget You and Enchanted Lady. If any knows how I can get those songs, please let me know.

I have been a fan since hearing Gloria,Emmanuel Johnson's tenor blew me away. On a recent trip a Quite Storm station played a three song set Gloria,Sunshine and Silly Love Songs. By the end of the last tune I had tears in my eyes, the music sounds as good today as it did in the 70's. So all you 20 some things embrace this music send your emails to the radio stati ons to play this music. And to Enchantment give us some more I know you guys have still got the chops.

Where can you begin to even describe the spell in which the group Enchantmen places you under. From the sweet song of "It's you that I need, to Sunshine, Gloria, Where do we go from here,(to just name a few off of the CD) it all leaves you spellbound. This is truly one of those groups from the 70's that did not get there spot in being recognize, but their loving ballads, still are strong and speak to the music soul. There where so many wonderful groups from the 70's and Enchantment is definitely one of them. If you have forgotten how it feels to be taken under a spell, well my dear music lovers, I advise you to get ready and spend a evening with Enchantment.

I am 29 years old and to think Enchantment did not get their fair share. "It's you that I need" is one of the atime favorite ballads that send chills and sometimes tears down my spine. I will always be a fan to this type of music and along with jazz, that seemed to disappear and now it is hiphop that has taking over. Music has faded away with my generation and below. My friends think I am old to still like and sing along to the old school music. My fiance (He is 11 years older than me could not believe I knew most if not all of the songs he is accustomed to, but he got over it). Anyway groups like Enchantment our timeless in my opinion, because the MUSIC will never die, just probably will not get played.

It's you that I need is one of my personal favorites. It still sends chills up my back. This group truly was done a diservice. I am 31 now I was around 11 or 12 when this album arrived. I met each member of enchantment personally. The producer John Lewis after all is my uncle.

Ahh... Enchantment! There's something about hearing their music that just seems to capture the moment. I believe I can remember exactly where I was when I first heard "Sunshine" on the old AM station KGFJ back in L.A. "It's You That I Need" takes me straight back to the first girl I dated in college. But there was one gem that was surprisingly missing here -- what happened to "Any Way You Want It", from 1979? Sure, it wasn't quite a monster hit, and is just a tad disco-tinged, but it has the catchiest tune of all their singles and is actually my favorite Enchantment song of all. Fortunately I still have the original vinyl 45 single, but it would have been great to hear it remastered on CD. For this reason only, I've rated this album 4 stars, rather than 5. Other than that, this is a fantastic set of songs!
A great collection from one of the best groups of the 70s. - Review written on August 12, 1999

This CD is a must for any R&B fan. EJ Johnson has the most powerful and controlled falsetto of any R&B artist and their music is classic 70s soul. Too bad EJ has been overlooked in the current nostalia which has brought back a lot of mediocre 70s disco music.

I grew up listening to hits like "Sunshine", "Its you that I need", and "Gloria". I really liked the lead singer's ability to hit the high notes with a sweet smooth texture. Switch's Bobby Debarge is a comparable falsetto. Ahh Motown... makes me wish I could sing.

Enchantment has an uncanny ability to stimulate all your senses with their mix of love and dance music. The five part harmony is always an exciting addition to any group. E.J. Johnson as lead vocalist has a unique voice with power and range. Add the bass by Mickey Clanton and you get real old fashioned street corner harmony that thrills all real music lovers. This CD will thrill you!!
