I was pleasantly surprised when I received this CD from Amazon and plopped it into the stereo. It is even better than I thought it would be! A fitting tribute to the late Cannoball Adderly; it features some of today's most accomplished jazz musicians. I fullheartedly recommend this album if you love jazz or just good music!

Tom Scott has recreated some of Cannonball's classic pieces inserting his own unique sound and accompanied by an all star band. I have totally enjoyed this CD!

I never thought I would like anything by Tom Scott, since I always associated him with smooth jazz, but he certainly shows his straight ahead jazz roots here.
Not only is he smoking, but Blanchard, Duke and Gadd are amazing.
Cannonball would be proud.

It's the best tribute CD ever!!!!!! It's an Experience put on CD. Nothing like it. Very close to the originals. With Smooth Jazz, I don't impress easy. With most tribute CD's they do song diffrently. Not Here.

Check out this stellar line up of virtuoso musicians as they pay homage to the great altoist Cannonball Adderley! Impeccable playing and recording quality! Legendary drummer Steve Gadd and bassist Marcus Miller provide the steady, inspiring groove and foundation for the soloists.

NOTE: I'd like to make two corrections to the previous review. Tom Scott's theme for Starsky & Hutch was first heard in the second season of the show and he was born in L.A., not England.
