Nice for chopping herbs! - Reviewed on 2008-08-04

This is very nice for chopping herbs- but not much else- tried to mince garlic and was very awkard. It is beautful- rich color and very nice quality but don't toss out your knife!
Nice but heavy, hard to store, and mine was damaged - Reviewed on 2008-04-25

This is a nice-looking and functional product, but is very heavy and the blade is hard to store. Also, mine had a thin, long crack with a shiny streak of something that looked like epoxy, as if a repair had been attempted. I would have returned it for a replacement but the shipping would have cost more than I thought it was worth.

Bought this for a gift for my brother--he liked it and thought it was well made and something he would get alot of use from.

I bought this specifically to chop the herbs I grow in my garden which I wasn't using in the kitchen as often as I should. It is spectacular to chop parsley, basil, cilantro, thyme, almost anything like that. A shallow mezzaluna is really meant for this purpose, it never occurred to me to use it for things like tomatoes and onions, although th knife part would certainly do the job. I'm going to try doing that with the knife but on a cutting board.
I had never heard of this but I love it - Reviewed on 2008-03-15

This is a great value (it was 8.53 when I got it). I am using it to dice up garlic, tomatoes, onions and other smaller items. It would make a great gift.
