My son received this for his sixth birthday, and fell in love with it. I purchased it based upon the online picture and the customer reviews. The reviews were correct - he is really enjoying it. He received eight other gifts from his friends at his party, and he has only focused on this ship. I love the fact that he can move the treasure chests, cannons and drums around, as well as the rope ladders and stairs. You can also wheel up the anchor. Lots of imaginative fun!

This ship has lots of moveable pieces, including the masts, ladders, anchor, etc. Our kids love it, and it's big enough to accomodate three or four children playing together. It came with two cannons, two treasure chests, two barrels, four pirates, two rope ladders, an anchor, a steering spoke, and a couple of moveable wooden ladders. Very durable.

After compairing all kinds of wooden pirate ships this was by far the cheapest in price but not in quality. My kids love this toy! At times it does come apart but that is part of the fun because the kids love to build it different ways (it doesn't break, some parts are not glued in place, on purpose). It gets played with all the time. The kids didn't love the pirates that it came with, I would reccommend cheap plastic ones. I would buy this as a gift for someone. I saw wooden ships much smaller for triple the price. I love my purchase.

I was looking for a Playmobile set for my 3-year-old son for Christmas, but they were in short supply. So I searched for "pirate ship" on Amazon, and lucked out to find this amazing wooden ship for under $30! It is so cute, and bigger than a Playmobile. Less little parts to get lost, too, which for younger kids is a plus. The little pirates can stand in the crow's nest, hook to the rope ladder to look like they're climbing, and navigate their way around the globe, I'm sure. Both my 3-year-old and my 7-year-old have had some good times with this toy already in the short time that we've had it around. It is a great set for playing pretend, and what little boy doesn't want to pretend ships and pirates? I think it is perfect for probably a 3- to 5-year-old. The wooden pieces have a kind of classic charm, plus it's durable and darling. Highly recommended--good sailing, matey!
