This is not the first Maglite I've owned. But, it is the first LED and the best. Not only is the construction very good and Made in the USA, the light is exceptional. Very clear and bright. It has less of a "black center" when on the wide beam. Certainly more expensive than most flashlights, but well worth the money.

My favorite Maglite.
It has a brighter beam than the 2AA cell Maglite LED model, and also has a longer battery life.
Believe it or not, it is brighter than the 2D or 3D Maglite LED flashlights.
Everyone who has seen me using this 3AA Maglite LED has wanted one for their own use or has later given one as a gift.
And that speaks for itself.

works great and is well made my wife works at night and she just loves it it is a lot brighter and just as well made as any mag lite!!

I recently decided to replace the old oversized, battery eating, incandescent flashlights my machinists were using. I was burning through a box of D batteries every couple weeks. I first purchased two of the Mag 3-cells, and let a couple of my machinists try them out. They commented on the improved lighting and also the strong white light they emitted. They also found them easier to maneuver in tight confines. The rest of my staff was quickly jealous, so I bought 12 more.

I have a couple of the Mag LED flashlights (2&3 D Cell), but wanted something that would fit in the center console of my truck easily, and though it is a little larger than I expected it does a great job. Honestly it has to be the best bang for the buck out there. Made by a company that is known for it's high quality and near bullet proof products. These small flashlights are bright than our 2 d Mag-lights we've just replaced and I believe they batteries are rated at about the same lifetime expectancy.

At this price you have to but at least one. I'll probably be buying another for my wife's car, and will feel comfortable knowing that we have very bright reliable flashlights in both vehicles.
