I have purchased several of "The Legends of Classic Soul Music" concerts. This Delfonics' concert, without a doubt, is the worst one I have seen. Even though William "Poogie" Hart, the original group's lead singer is featured, overall the Delfonics' performance was just plain awful. They sounded like a group of impersonators singing at a county fair or in a cheap Las Vegas casino lounge -- where you don't have to pay to watch or listen to them. I don't know where Hart found those twins, but I know he could have found better talent than those two. The twins couldn't even sing and they weren't believable singing the Delfonics' classic songs. Wilbert Hart and "The New Delfonics/Delphonics" sound a whole lot better than William Hart and the twins. Ten years ago, Wilbert Hart even had Harold "Eban" Brown singing on tour with him. Brown is now the current lead singer for "The Stylistics."

The bonus concert (four songs) was a little better. It had to be recorded at least 2 years ago, in Canada, at the Casino Rama. It featured Garfield Flemming, who has long been rumored to be a younger brother of David Ruffin, a member of the legendary "Temptations." Flemming was actually introduced by Jimmie "J.J." Walker as Garfield Ruffin. He did look and sounded a little like David Ruffin. The Delfonics on that particular night singing renditions of old Temptations classics, "My Girl" and "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)" was alright. The other two songs they sung was also featured during the first concert, but this time they sounded a lot better!

This DVD is awful. The sound is terrible. Not sure whether its the performers or the sound quality of the recording. I was very disappointed. My copy is going into the garbage immediately.

We own many dvd's and I must say this is the worst I've ever seen. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even worth watching the whole thing. There is only one original group member left, which he wasn't that bad, but his side kicks were horrible and out of tune most of the time. They were even doing songs that weren't Delfonic songs. Thumbs down all the way.

i thought with william harts age he is doing ok, we can't really expect him to hit the same notes he did back in the day but he still sounds pretty good. my problem is that the delfonics are a group, i really like to watch the choreography and on this dvd a lot of the camera is on william hart who as i know is the leader but i think their award winning dance routines are a big part of their act and should be shown also. That was my biggest problem with the 70's soul jam concert dvd too much camera time on the audience and the violin players not enough focus on the main performers especally wilberts harts delfonics and the whispers.
