The battery did not fit a Treo 750 like it said it would. I will not buy again from this supplier unless i get a battery that fits with no cost to me.

the battery an the company is both in excellant shape they sent the product with-in 24 hours. my only gripe is with the carrier! the package was torn open an it was nothing but dumb luck that the item made it with the package actually none of the invoice made it but that is unimportant with this item. all they had to do is take 5 seconds an use some tape to guarntee delivery, but as useal this is to much to ask from our U S Postal service.
It's a fine battery for its size - Reviewed on 2007-07-05

The Treo 680 was released with a lot of bad press regarding very poor battery life.

Part of the problem was a series of firmware bugs that Palm has since released fixes for. Part of it was new batteries needing to be broken in by a few full charge/discharge cycles to hold their maximum charge. And part of it was having power hungry features that most people don't use turned on by default.

As for this battery, it packs a good amount of mAh for its size.

Third party batteries either offer you less mAh in the same size as the Palm OEM battery, or more mAh in a larger battery that requires you to replace the battery cover with a bulging replacement cover (which doesn't fit in most cases, holsters or cradles).

So by sticking with the original Palm battery you are getting the most capacity available without making your phone larger and heavier.

An added bonus is you don't risk voiding your warranty by use of non Palm accessories.

Once conditioned by a few charge/discharge cycles and installed in a Treo 680 with updated firmware, this battery works quite well.

With the heavy use that I put my Treo 680 to, I get around 50-60 hours between charges if I run the battery to empty. (Note that Palm does not recommend this. For optimum battery life top off the charge whenever possible.)

I would not recommend any other battery for use in your Treo 680.

Don't waste your money on no-name high capacity batteries. I did, and they couldn't hold a charge for anything. I bought this batter and it works perfect.

If you want your treo to work longer, buy a treo 650 battery. It works a lot longer. However, since it is bigger, the battery cover no longer fits, but I just put a phone case over it!

This battery performs as expected.
It is the standard Palm battery - meaning it is probably underpowered relative to the power consumption of the device. Note also that when using Bluetooth and/or the Blackberry Rim email service battery life is notably reduced.

The solution would be lower device consumption, or a bigger capacity battery - neither of which appear possible at the moment.
So my solution was to have a second spare battery.
