Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout features two 30 min. sessions. starting with a complete 30 minute Kundalini Yoga routine invigorating dynamic and profoundly effective just like Ana & Ravi's other workouts. The 2nd set is not your usual "Trance" fare but an energetic pulsating sequence of mostly lead movement routines. This section is pretty aerobic and somewhat intense. Although the moves seem simple those who don't have a dance or aerobic etc. background can easily participate. (This DVD allows the user to pre-program their own workout.) Dance 1 is Tribal Dance. The others feature Funky Temple Dance Dance of Power and Heart Dance. The last two segments can only be described as blissful. Tom Carden's music on this one is hands down the best music on a yoga DVD. I got one of the Ana & Ravi DVD's and loved it so much I am collecting them all. I am trying to get into shape and I really love that this one includes a great yoga set with some breath of fire. I love the breath of fire because I swear it resets my metabolism to burn more calories. The set also include some of my favorite yoga postures but the special way Ana & Ravi sequence them makes me feel awesome in a way I never felt before!
The dance is easy to follow dance moves and so much fun!! There are no sequenced steps which I am hopeless at. You are encouraged to do what you can do and just keep moving until you get the step. It really opens my hips and loosens me up all over. The music is great. This is an amazingly feel good DVD!

I don't know why I waited so long to get this one. I was a little put off by the idea of dance but this was incredible. Absolutely incredible!!! It's very easy going and easy to follow. It gets into the hips and abs and has very cool music to keep you wanting to move more and more. The yoga session is great and quick. It's energetic and it's a complete daily session. Ana and Ravi are flat out amazing at what they do.

Ana and Ravi have done a wonderful job blending their individual gifts as teachers in this DVD. I found the Kundalini Yoga Chakra sets to be a simple and powerful sequence that I will enjoy presenting to my own Yoga students. The matrix format allows you to blend and balance classic Kundalini Yoga sets with expessive and liberating movement dance sequences according to mood and intention. The result is a great physical workout with the additional stress relief and higher energetic benefits that a sound Kundalini Yoga practice offers.

I love the organic movement presented here which inspires me more than the same old type of dance workouts I've been doing. Dance the Chakras Yoga Workout is a great alternative to those fitness workouts which have a sort of jerky pacing, aren't symetrical, and leave you feeling wired rather than inspired. This one starts with a 25 min. yoga routine and then it presents different dance segments which work from the ground up. These movements feel very healthy for my body and get me into a zone which keeps me up all day and helps me sleep like a baby at night. I didn't know what to expect when I got this but now I am a confirmed Ana & Ravi fan, and I'm going to buy their other DVD's as well!

I really, really do not understand why this video is so popular. The yoga/breathing portion is nice, (I have been doing yoga for six years), but the "dancing" was really more like flailing your arms around in circles. I enjoy many styles of dancing and just found this to be completely boring and uninspiring. The music was uninteresting and I found the many voice overs distracting, not relaxing. The meditation part reminded me of a sing along children's video. I consider myself a spiritual, open minded person, but this is just plain cheesy.
